I highly recommend Clark's Locksmith Solutions for their quick and friendly service, quality workmanship and affordable prices. Yesterday, I decided to have the locks on my house rekeyed and tightened up. After reading the reviews of various companies on Google, I called Clark's Locksmith Solutions because they're a local company and they had the highest reviews. Within 15 minutes, their Technician Stephen retuned my call and scheduled an appointment for early the following morning to meet my schedule. This morning, Stephen called to let me know that he was on his way and he arrived 15 minutes later, right on time. He is friendly guy who proved to be very good at his trade. While I was hoping to have all of the locks keyed to just one key, he carefully explained why the current locks aren't compatible for that. But he also explained how we could accomplish that, so that one key would fit all of the doors. He also made a couple suggestions on how to make my house even more secure, and encouraged me to contact him with any questions or concerns. After a hard day, I left my key in my storeroom. It was an hour after closing and I wanted to patronize someplace local and small. Luckily, there was a place only two blocks away. I called and got a quote, depending on time and difficulty. The woman took 25 minutes to arrive; I assumed she came from another job. She was pleasant and efficient. I was impressed that she inserted some tubing and opened the door in under 5 minutes. The shock was that she charged more than $50 over the phone quote and $73 more than the website, which was already more than other places listed. I wasn't given the senior discount either. Almost $200 for 5 minutes work exceeds electricians and plumbers, even after hours. I've been by the NW store many times since then; no one is ever there. The receipt says only "Locksmith Services" on SW Powell. I doubt the honesty of this place, as well as if it is really local. read more

This company is SCAM. They sent a technician out to make a key for my 07 F250 that wasn't chipped or had a transponder. Charged me $254 and then after 2 1/2 hours of waiting told me wasn't able to make it in that it would be 80 more dollars for an ignition that you can get at a parts store for like $40. I told him that I didn't have 80 more dollars to give him, I guess I will just take my money back and call a company who could make the key. He said he would not give me my money back. Then I said I would like to speak to his manager or supervisor, He said that that's not an option. Then I asked him he's really about to just not give me my money back he hopped in his van and kept ignoring me. After I had enough of the ignoring me I said I was calling the police. As soon as he heard me say police he threw his van in drive and begin to accelerate into me causing me to roll off the front of his van. He did not stop to see if I was OK he just kept going. Luckily before impact I had instructed my friend to pull out a phone and start video recording which all this was caught on video. There was a police report filed as well as the BBB contacted and Oregon Fox 12. The company still has not reached out to me to try to refund me, or show any type of apologetic attitude. I would not recommend this company to anyone in the Portland area or surrounding cities. read more

We got locked out of our house yesterday and I called Clark's Locksmith. They quoted me $39 to come out and approximately $105-175 extra. They sent out a technician and he attempted to use bump keys with force, to unlock our inside garage door. After watching him about 5 minutes, I walked away so he could work his magic without me watching him. After about 30 minutes, he still hadn't unlocked the door. He attempted on the sliding glass door out back and then the basement door. In about 45 minutes, he had destroyed the wafers inside the 3 locks and still had no success opening anything. I told him I was going to call someone else and he tried to call his dispatch to see if another technician could come out from Clark's. I was willing to try another technician. He apologized and left and said someone would be calling me in a few seconds. A few minutes passed and I was frustrated at this point, so I called another company. The next company (ABC Locksmith) came out and the door was unlocked in less than a minute. The wafers inside the locks were so damaged, from the Clark's technician, that it took him a minute to open it when it could have taken seconds. The Clark's technician and his dispatch supervisor had both said they have never seen locks like ours. They honestly just didn't have the experience, so they didn't know the locks from lack of experience. I would not recommend them, try ABC Locksmith as your go-to. read more

The staff is super friendly and professional but be aware. They have 4.8 stars here but sent me to Locksmiths plus which has 2.5 stars. The lady on the phone told me they couldn't make my key for VW beetle and called Locksmiths plus herself. She gave me a quote of $401 starting!! Lol for a flip switch key? The weird part is I was never connected to the Locksmiths plus and seemed like she was trying to scam me. I let her know I was going with someone else that was cheaper and she asked how much. I told her they said 250 and she was angry. She said "well the lowest I can do it $400". Like woman we're not negotiating here have a nice day. I called Portland East Locksmith and they charged me $250. They gave me a flat price and knew how much the service would cost. This place has 4.8 stars but I really do think they make money off of referring people to horrible locations and keep the bonuses. read more
