I purchased an almost $2,000.00 shower door and had Ankeny Glass install it. It showed up with a…read morescratch near one side. I showed the installer how to turn the glass around and upside down to hide the defect instead of waiting for a new panel. It is almost one year old and leaks in a corner of the shower. I called them and it was like they wanted me to beg them to come out and fix it. After about 5 minutes on the phone and listening to the sales person ask me to ask her again to send someone out to fix it, I replied each time, I'm not going to beg you to fix it, you can fix it or not. If you don't, I guess I'll fix it. Literally 3 times I said i won't beg you to fix it, she said, I don't want to be talked to that way, I replied, then tell me you're going to send someone out to fix it, she replied once again, do you want me to send someone out to fix it? Ugghh, Sometimes it's just easier to accept that customer service is dead and just fix the dang thing myself.

I hired Kinman to replace glass in two casement windows. Their estimator can to my home to measure…read morethe windows and inspect the damage and their written quote was the lowest of the three companies I contacted. When they came to replace the glass they realized their estimator had ordered single pane glass and not double pane like my existing windows. They ordered the correct glass but refused to honor their quoted price claiming the estimator no longer worked for them. The owner was very rude and difficult To deal with. I was very unhappy but needed broken windows replaced so we negotiated a price for the work. The workers who came and replaced the glass did a very poor job with the installation. The glazing is sloppy and crooked and they didn't even bother to clean the windows. I do not recommend their services and would never use them again!
