I stayed in this hotel last night and my phone went missing. I searched the place and asked all the staff if anyone had found it and nothing. I tracked my phone to 320 Mamie St. (See pic) So whoever works there and lives at this address has my stolen iPhone 12 mini. Beware of your stuff there. If management could assist me with retrieving my phone I'd really appreciate it. (760) 215-4220

Okay people.. I want to skip right to breakfast.. but I'll give a quick review of the room first. Bed was comfy, shower was hot, fridge and microwave in room, which is almost becoming rare theses day.. and it was clean and smelled great!! Big perks!! Let's talk breakfast!! At checkout they give you a breakfast pass for a restaurant on site. I was expecting a muffin and banana with a to go coffee.. but NO.. this was a full on breakfast, cooked when you ordered, massive portions!! FOR FREE! I travel a lot, you just don't get this kind of food for free anymore! But look at it! I got a hearty ham and cheese omelet, hasbrowns, wheat toast and coffee.. Fo Free People! The room averaged about $70 on Priceline, well worth it! I would definitely stay here again!

Front desk clerk Laura was very accommodating and sweet. We needed early check in to kennel our dog for a wedding. Room was nicely decorated. Beds were very comfy. Room was clean. Maids were nice. TV programming was analog and fuzzy. Thank goodness we brought our ROKU to save the night. I tried to take a Shower at 1am and then again at 9am. Water was luke warm both times. There was a 25$ pet fee in which I didn't discover until after I booked. If I were to come back to Ridgecrest, I'd search for something better but it was overall acceptable.

Their venue is spacious and clean. Staff is extremely helpful.

Now specifically about this property, it was not just clean with warm customer service, but you can tell that the owners really thought about the comfort of the guests. I was welcomed with a cookie, the room came with ear plugs (so thoughtful) and blackout windows that worked well, and a few other details where you felt like the owners were really thinking about the guest experience. They have only one set of washer and dryer, but they worked well. Will stay here again if I am in the area

Starting around 10 PM there was constant pacing back and forth across the room until about 2:30. It sounded like someone walking across the room, flipping a light switch on and off, then pacing back again. It was pretty bizarre and woke me up about a dozen times, and I'm normally a heavy sleeper. When we checked in they asked if we wanted an upstairs or downstairs room. In hindsight I wish I had chosen upstairs, because the sound insulation between floors is very minimal. If you stay here, I would strongly recommend requesting an upstairs room. Breakfast was worse than average. The hard boiled eggs were wrinkled, the bananas were heavily bruised, and the other options were very processed. My daughter grabbed a muffin and we ended up leaving. I usually like Best Westerns and this property would have been perfectly fine for a quick stopover if not for the noise issue.

They have a garage, so you can park a small car indoors and out of the desert heat. Rooms are dated (70s/80s) but clean, queen beds, separate living room and galley kitchen with stove/microwave. These rooms have 2 TV's, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. There is an outside picnic area for each room with one of those cheap park charcoal grills. Each picnic area is fenced in. If you aren't acclimated to the desert heat, these rooms are hot and the A/C doesn't always keep up. Essex Suites: Spacious 3br 1ba duplexes, can sleep up to 6, PET FRIENDLY! Has washer and dryer, must buy your own detergent at the NEX. Kitchen with full size fridge, stove and microwave. Kitchen table with 4 chairs. Living room with armchair, couch, and desk w/chair. Closets in every room, even the living room. 2 queen beds (separate rooms) and 2 twin beds (in the 3rd room). Only tv is in the living room, but it has satellite stations. These pet friendly rooms have a fenced in back yard potty patch. Cons of the Essex Suites: Pet friendly, so our living room reeked of dog piss. Bad door seals, so the crickets came inside via the laundry room and, made a home for themselves under the washer, and chirped all night. Wife got bitten 3 times by bugs the first night. A/C is noisy and runs all night, because the door seals don't keep any air in. Bathroom toilet has too much water in it and splashed you when you flush. The staff: Politely made our room available 3hrs early so my pregnant wife could rest, but then while she was trying to rest the maids showed up, realized the suite was occupied and left quickly, then 30 min later the maintenance man showed up, stated to my wife that the last people in the room had children who were shoving shit in the electrical sockets and that he had to fix it right then. BASE CO: This NGIS and all of its facilities need to be modernized!

I had to show him the reservation and requested refund to Standard 2 Queen room.. Refund going to take few days to process. On way up stairs 2 open cans of Campbell's soup were on the stairs.. Had been there for a while. First room given was 2nd floor and on entry it was dusty and crumbs on the counter near microwave. Complained and requested different room and mentioned the garage on the stairs. 2nd room (110) was older furniture and nothing like pictures. Beds were not supporting but clean. Shower faucet was difficult to operated. Now suggest 2nd floor as floors are very noisy.. Occupant in 220 was noisy doing what unknown. Was pacing at times running back and forth in the room and what sounded like moving furniture or dragging something back and forth. At midnight just conceded and hoped they would stop.. Didn't want to complain I concern of more problems. Paid for 2 nights and just hoped they would leave. No luck 2nd night back to the running back and forth and few times dropped something heavy. Mentioned to front desk on check out.. He said he would talk to the guest. I have to say this property is nothing like the pictures.. Won't be back and suggest seriously ask to see room before checking in. Definitely not a VERY GOOD as shown on Hotels.com.
