Wow what a great stay. I was in Ridgecrest for two days and picked this Hampton to stay at. First off the staff was friendly and accommodating. Second as we started doing with COVID, I did a complete wipe down of the entire room and found it to be spotless. Everything was clean and in good working order. Parking was ample and the grounds were also clean. I did not take part in the free breakfast aside from coffee so this review omits that. The room was on the smaller side compared to other Hampton properties I have stayed at but traveling solo for this trip it was more than fine. All and all it was a good stay

Suite with two queen beds - the high ceilings give it a spacious feel.

Excellent hotel in Ridgecrest. We stayed here for two nights earlier this week while visiting Death Valley National Park. We booked a suite with two queen beds - it was clean and spacious and had a comfy sofa, coffee table, and a couple of chairs, which came in handy as we ate all our meals in the room. The breakfast buffet was very good - with warm (eggs, ham, bacon, waffles, coffee) and cold (yogurt, fruit, cereal, milk, juice) food options. There is plenty of parking and a few good restaurants within walking distance, like Xin Bowl and Pizza Factory (see separate reviews). The hotel also has a pool and a gym, but we didn't use either. Thank you, Hampton Inn, for making our trip comfortable.

As you can see our puppy slept well as did we

Amazing quality and value! This was our first trip with our 6-month-old puppy and obviously we were a little nervous but everybody working at the hotel made both her and us feel welcome. They were there to support anything we needed. The puppy had a great stay and we couldn't appreciate the attitude of the staff more. This hotel is spotlessly clean and dedicated to make sure their guests are well taken care of!

For the price point, this hotel is hard to beat! We got into Ridgecrest about 7:00pm and were warmly greeted. I loved the Trick-Or-Treat candy at the front desk, who doesn't enjoy a little sweet from days gone by? Clean room and comfortable beds were a relief. For a bottom floor room, I heard nothing of feet stomping above my head at all. Breakfast was generous. The usual suspects included Waffle station, hot oatmeal (prepared), bagels, toasts, juices, coffees and teas, cold cereals, yogurts, whole fruits and some cut-up fruit that tasted weird.. but you could always just have a banana. There's also scrambled eggs, sausages and a weird looking 1/2 english muffin with some eggs and cheese melted in advance (For folks in a hurry?). Breakfast dining was a comfortable room with high ceilings and some morning news on. I stopped for another Trick-Or-Treat before checking out. Truly an unbeatable bargain.

Where's the staff?

Gentleman that checked us in was nice. Place is old looking and dirty and needs update. The hallways have an over powering smell that is disgusting and you have to plug your nose. WiFi sucks and constantly kicked off. Water pressure in shower is sparse and comes and goes even less pressure. The coffee maker set up is in the bathroom! :-/ Checked out 10 minutes before check out time and stood around awhile looking for staff....lady came from around corner and had to get young man to help us. We wouldn't recommend even though breakfast was good.

Great place to stay in Ridgecrest. We've stayed at this hotel twice and have not really been disappointed. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the facilities adequate. We've also been able to enjoy the long-term guest rate, which makes the hotel cheaper than many lesser hotels in the area. Criticism... Some of the staff are uniformed of the hotels amenities, creating a little frustration when asking for something specific, like what local papers they receive. Also, there is very little shade available in the pool area, which is dangerous in the high desert's unforgiving sun. Those aside, I'm struggling to complain. I recommend the Hampton Inn for anyone who has to visit Ridgecrest.

Now specifically about this property, it was not just clean with warm customer service, but you can tell that the owners really thought about the comfort of the guests. I was welcomed with a cookie, the room came with ear plugs (so thoughtful) and blackout windows that worked well, and a few other details where you felt like the owners were really thinking about the guest experience. They have only one set of washer and dryer, but they worked well. Will stay here again if I am in the area

Starting around 10 PM there was constant pacing back and forth across the room until about 2:30. It sounded like someone walking across the room, flipping a light switch on and off, then pacing back again. It was pretty bizarre and woke me up about a dozen times, and I'm normally a heavy sleeper. When we checked in they asked if we wanted an upstairs or downstairs room. In hindsight I wish I had chosen upstairs, because the sound insulation between floors is very minimal. If you stay here, I would strongly recommend requesting an upstairs room. Breakfast was worse than average. The hard boiled eggs were wrinkled, the bananas were heavily bruised, and the other options were very processed. My daughter grabbed a muffin and we ended up leaving. I usually like Best Westerns and this property would have been perfectly fine for a quick stopover if not for the noise issue.

We have stayed here several times at different rooms so it's time for a review…read more Summit/Pinnacle/Panamint Suites: These are cozy little 1br 1ba suites. They have a garage, so you can park a small car indoors and out of the desert heat. Rooms are dated (70s/80s) but clean, queen beds, separate living room and galley kitchen with stove/microwave. These rooms have 2 TV's, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. There is an outside picnic area for each room with one of those cheap park charcoal grills. Each picnic area is fenced in. If you aren't acclimated to the desert heat, these rooms are hot and the A/C doesn't always keep up. Essex Suites: Spacious 3br 1ba duplexes, can sleep up to 6, PET FRIENDLY! Has washer and dryer, must buy your own detergent at the NEX. Kitchen with full size fridge, stove and microwave. Kitchen table with 4 chairs. Living room with armchair, couch, and desk w/chair. Closets in every room, even the living room. 2 queen beds (separate rooms) and 2 twin beds (in the 3rd room). Only tv is in the living room, but it has satellite stations. These pet friendly rooms have a fenced in back yard potty patch. Cons of the Essex Suites: Pet friendly, so our living room reeked of dog piss. Bad door seals, so the crickets came inside via the laundry room and, made a home for themselves under the washer, and chirped all night. Wife got bitten 3 times by bugs the first night. A/C is noisy and runs all night, because the door seals don't keep any air in. Bathroom toilet has too much water in it and splashed you when you flush. The staff: Politely made our room available 3hrs early so my pregnant wife could rest, but then while she was trying to rest the maids showed up, realized the suite was occupied and left quickly, then 30 min later the maintenance man showed up, stated to my wife that the last people in the room had children who were shoving shit in the electrical sockets and that he had to fix it right then. BASE CO: This NGIS and all of its facilities need to be modernized!

I had to show him the reservation and requested refund to Standard 2 Queen room.. Refund going to take few days to process. On way up stairs 2 open cans of Campbell's soup were on the stairs.. Had been there for a while. First room given was 2nd floor and on entry it was dusty and crumbs on the counter near microwave. Complained and requested different room and mentioned the garage on the stairs. 2nd room (110) was older furniture and nothing like pictures. Beds were not supporting but clean. Shower faucet was difficult to operated. Now suggest 2nd floor as floors are very noisy.. Occupant in 220 was noisy doing what unknown. Was pacing at times running back and forth in the room and what sounded like moving furniture or dragging something back and forth. At midnight just conceded and hoped they would stop.. Didn't want to complain I concern of more problems. Paid for 2 nights and just hoped they would leave. No luck 2nd night back to the running back and forth and few times dropped something heavy. Mentioned to front desk on check out.. He said he would talk to the guest. I have to say this property is nothing like the pictures.. Won't be back and suggest seriously ask to see room before checking in. Definitely not a VERY GOOD as shown on Hotels.com.
