This can be served in the bar at any time but the restaurant is much nicer - you need to book though. O'Gradys has some great live music and it's worth keeping an eye out for when bands are playing there. It does get quite packed though so go early and get a seat. Drinks are competitively priced and the bar staff are very helpfuland friendly.

We chose the Attic Sea View Room and, despite the extra stairs to contend with, it was a great choice. The ocean view from our room was just so lovely. The hotel even provides a set of binoculars to gaze out at the magnificent vista (and people watching too). The hotel is really well maintained and overall is classy and stylish without being pompous. The room was large and comfortable, with a huge bed and plenty of pillows, and a large couch. The bathroom was modern and spacious and well equipped. There were plenty of plugs to keep devices and whatnot plugged in. The only problem we experienced with our stay was the heating did not work. We mentioned it to the front desk but the service technician had left and we never had it working during our short stay. The hotel was flexible and adaptable enough to provide an electric fan heater that was more than adequate. Overall the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. One of the hugest benefits of staying at The Spa Hotel was the number of onsite amenities. The table service restaurant, the pizza bar, the vast cocktail bar, and the Amber Rooms. We were able to get my wife a short notice massage at the latter and she absolutely thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The dining room is right at the front of the hotel with more of those magnificent views. The food and wine we had on our first night was really good, and we were very grateful we did not have to venture out to find food after a long day winding around the narrow North York Moors roads. However, the piece d'resistance was without argument the pizza. We ate at the pizza bar on our second night and even though it felt like an age for our order to arrive (we were starving) it was more than worth it. This was THE BEST pizza either of us had anywhere. So fresh and tasty. The appetisers were great too (although I forgot what we had now). Its a long-arse way to go for pizza but I cant wait to get back up there. One note, parking is pretty tough. We didnt have issue finding a spot any time, but I did overhear a couple of complaints. And the spots I did find were REALLY tight for even a compact SUV. Anything larger you'd be SOL. A small car would be ideal. With all the other amenities attracting visitors to the facility there simply isn't enough space for everyone. I do think hotel guests should get priority over spa or restaurant guests. There is plenty of parking up on the esplanade, but that is a moderately steep walk uphill. Not great for everyone, so just be aware of that. Overall we were really happy with our choice to stay at The Spa. It's a wonderful location and an impeccable vacation experience. Very highly recommended.

The only thing with Premiers is that they seem to be in two standards thou they are all 4*. Thou both of the standards are good and like I said I am always happy staying here, the difference is that the better standard is a more recently modernised room than the slightly lower standard. The Hartlepool Marina Premier is the slightly lower standard. The views from this hotel are spectacular as it is based right on the marina with the boats sat on both sides to the hotel. Location is only 5minutes walk from Church Street what is the start of town where you can find restaurants, pubs and clubs. I would stay here again.

The hotel itself was very charming, situated on the cliff above Runswick Bay. The staff was always polite and very accommodating of our large group. I'm not sure if we had a group rate or not, but the rate for us was very reasonable. My standard room consisted of one double bed (very comfortable I might add), a free-standing wardrobe, tea/coffee and cookies, and a flat-screen tv. The en-suite bathroom was tiny but I'm fairly minimalist so I was able to make it work. I always had hot water and the water-pressure was good. Our meals were group meals so I can't speak much to individual service, however our group was always received good service. The menu varied from day to day. I'm a picky eater so I did not sample all of the variety, and tended to stay with the beef selection for dinner. While not cooked like I'm used to, the food was always of good quality albeit a bit bland for my taste. No one in our group ever left an empty plate. The soups were apparently quite a hit. One thing the brits do really well are chips - oh how I wish I could get 'fries' this good in the states. For breakfast i always had the continental breakfast which consisted of cereals, yogurts, and pastries. There is also a fully-stocked bar on the first floor. Three things to note: there is no elevator and the stairs are steep (not surprising for a rural hotel), they don't take AMEX, and the free wireless internet was very spotty. Some rooms were not able to get signal at all. Overall, this is a charming coastal hotel situated in a beautiful part of England. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area of Yorkshire.

My Dad now has a one bedroomed house and so me, my sister and our partners had to book a hotel. We stayed in the All Welcome In which is walking distance from the race track and offered Luxury En Suite rooms. Our room was a twin room with extremely dated bedding and decoration. It looked and smelt like the room had not been lived in for several years and as for the en suite?? A cupboard with a toilet and shower cubicle would have been a better description! And the door fell off after we tried to open it the second time. All in all two nights cost £71 for the two of us on a bed and breakfast basis. We did not dare to eat the breakfast but another guest made a complaint due to the bread being frozen, only to be told that they put it out frozen so it stays fresher for longer!! If we had not paid £40 deposit on the rooms and there was another hotel available (they all get booked up very quickly on a race weekend) then we would have definitely stayed else where. I cannot stress enough how awful the hotel was and would suggest that if anyone stays in Redcar, stay well away from the All Welcome In!

The breakfast was a full English with plenty of tea refills and toast. The landlady was very friendly and extremely helpful and gave us some good local information and directions. If you are looking for 'Jack & Vera Duckworth' type B&B accommodation and you are on a budget, then I can highly recommend this place. If you want something more upmarket, then try elsewhere and be prepared to pay much more than £12 a night.
