For 3 nights I have stayed in the Altonlea Lodge in June 2014. I have enjoyed it very much. Clean rooms which aren't too small with TV and free Wifi is all I needed. The bath with no window but a ventilation was very clean. To relieve nature you could reject new towls everyday. Booked as single room this was actually a double one but possible they did not habe enough left.
Breakfast was delicous continental the first and second morning. Tea, cereals, bread, jam, eggs, hone all you need. The last morning I had pancake as a young lady had them the days before I ask fore them aswell. And another young lady joined us, too.
Although the lodge was 2 miles from the HMS Trincomalee Museum which was the reason to visit Hartlepool I was provided with a bicylcle.
Well, to be honest I ask by Email if they new a good cheap cycle rental. And the owner offered me his bike to use.
Ok that was rather expensive but not very much looked after. So I had to ride on nearly flat tyres to the Museum. Luckily the closest petrol station was right opposite the Museum. read more
