Tips:
- This eatery is on DoorDash.
- The cream of chicken soup is made from scratch. Be careful with the tiny bones that you may find in the soup.
On Friday, I was running a couple of errands in the evening. I felt like grabbing some takeout for dinner while out and about.
I had credits to use on DoorDash. I spotted Clarence's Kitchen. I had never been there, so I looked at the menu. There was a lot of variety.
I love spaghetti. I could choose from bolognese or meatballs.
On DoorDash, this eatery had a BOGO deal on its swiss mushroom burger. Perfect!
I ordered these items:
- Swiss mushroom burger (BOGO)
- Cream of chicken soup
I got an estimated time that my order would be ready. It was enough time for me to casually drive down to Scarborough during the evening rush hour.
This eatery is located at Dynasty Centre. It's across from the food court entrance.
There was lots of parking when I got here at 6:30 pm. I parked.
I saw a woman enter this eatery. I learned after I walked in that she works here.
The same extensive menu that I browsed online was in front of me when I walked in. I was warmly greeted by the woman. I let her know that I had an order under my name. She nodded and grabbed a plastic bag with my goodies. There was a male staffer behind the extensive menu who was cooking up a storm.
I thanked both folks and wished them a great day. She said to take care. I reciprocated and headed to my car with my food. I put my food in an insulated bag and then drove home.
My food was still hot when I got home. I unpacked everything and had the soup first.
The cream of chicken soup was delicious. A lot of love went into it. This soup was hearty and yummy. The creaminess was perfect with the small chunks of chicken.
I could tell that this soup was made from scratch, as it has tiny bones in it. They weren't horrible and they weren't extensive in number, but you do need to be careful. I'd get this soup again.
The burgers were yummy. The beef patty in each burger looked like it was smashed. However, they didn't have crispy edges.
I liked the special sauce that each burger had. It was far better than that special sauce that you get in a Big Mac!
Each burger had lettuce, tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, grilled onions, pickles, and swiss cheese. I was pleasantly surprised by the grilled onions. I normally pick out the raw onions because they are too thick and I don't enjoy the burning raw sensation eating them. It was nice to not worry about them here.
I loved this burger so much that I ate both of them in one sitting! The buns were so soft and slightly grilled.
I want to head back for the spaghetti dishes. I'll definitely be back for more.
This place doesn't specialize in a single cuisine. It's nice to have variety in one eatery.
