Minimal slides (this is good for us), it's mostly all covered but the swing set area isn't covered at all. This park also has fun xylophones in multiple areas and other fun stimulating things on the play structure itself. Biggest plus is the soft surface it's built on making running around less scary. It's very well fenced in so my little one doesn't have the urge to run into the parking lot, the opening is on the opposite end and you'll just park and walk around the fenced in part. Bathrooms aren't scary either. This is the first park I've been to that's the perfect size and doesn't make me feel anxious.

Right now, this park is in the middle of nowhere…read more According to the website: America Modern Green (AMG) is developing the Ivy at Lower Kirby, a mixed-use development at the southwest corner of South Spectrum Blvd. and the SH 288 frontage road in Lower Kirby. The Planned Development is proposed to include office, continuing care retirement center, retail, condominiums, townhomes and apartments. As for now, the playgrounds are AMAZING! One playground is for younger kids and one is for older kids. Both are shaded! There is a covered pavilion between the two with picnic tables. Next to the playground is an amphitheater. (Not sure what it will be used for just yet but it looks super neat!) Along the lake is a walking/biking trail. On a windy day, the fountain in the lake will provide a refreshing mist. It will definitely be cool to watch this area transform over time. Like I said, right now, this is literally in the middle of nowhere. Only negative is that the only trash can near the playground is overflowing with garbage. My guess is that because this place is so secluded, trash emptying might be neglected. All in all, a great park!!

The Ivy District is a mixed-use project which will eventually be home to offices, apartments, retail centers, along with this public park. Unfortunately, it seems that there have been some delays including legal obstacles in project development and it's unclear what the timeline of finishing will look like. That being said, the public park portion of the development is currently open! There is some work to do - There is no official parking lot (parallel parking on the street is available), trash cans, or working restrooms yet. The park includes a children's playground, a few manmade lakes complete with lit up fountains, and surrounding trails that start around the lake and eventually branch off into woods. There is even a pedestrian bridge that connects to Shadow Creek Ranch and allows you to visit the Shadow Creek Nature Trail. We spent about 30 minutes enjoying the trails at sunset. As residents of the area, we think this park is just what Pearland needs and hope it will be completed soon!

The kids can let out the energy fast. My least favorite park of them all. Wilson Memorial has a public pool. I have never brought my children here, please let me know what you think of it. A pond surrounds the pool area. Home to the local ducks, which are fun to watch, and will chase you if they smell a morsel of food on you. Home to just as many turtles too, and they won't chase you no matter what you smell like. Sadly, also home to the litter left behind by the less considerate of our local parks and environment. The covered basketball area seems to be quite popular. We usually hang across the way, at the playground, on days that soccer isn't involved. I bring a blanket and lay out where the least amount of trash can be seen by the pond. Otherwise you will find us on the nice big soccer field with the rest of the team. They have been practicing here for years. The baseball field and soccer field are near each other. Parking is limited in this area. Arrive early, but if you miss parking here, there is ample parking between the playground and basketball area. Wilson Memorial Park could really use a track. Most importantly, the park grounds could really use some tender loving care. Sometimes even the ducks need TLC. I've seen some sickly ones because of the litter. I've made my complaints directly to park personnel. In all of the years we been coming here, we've never used the porta potties. If I or the kids gotta go, we gotta leave. They may have clean restrooms near the pool building, I just haven't bothered. Please keep our parks clean and green!

Colorful water slides, water up to 4ft deep... this is a delight for the little ones. Families on have to have paid their HOA dues to be privy to the cool & relaxing waters. You're free to bring a lite snacks & other refreshments. Open during the week while school is out & on the weekends when school is in session... this is a wonderfully, great way to spend a weekend.

We have had planned play dates, weekly soccer practice and spontaneous evening park play and it's all been great. The playground works well for a wide range of ages--my kids are 2, 4, and 6, and they all enjoy it. There's plenty of open space for running around, playing soccer, walking dogs, or just enjoying being outside. The Gardens at Croix Park are also located on the grounds and add to the park's charm. One thing I especially appreciate is parking. Also the park is shaded which is a huge bonus during Texas summers. The gazebo is a nice touch, and we always enjoy spotting birds and squirrels while we're there. My kids love this park! If you're looking for a peaceful, family-friendly park with lots of green space, Croix Memorial Park is definitely worth a visit.

Southdown Park is a great recreation area!…read more We LOVE the playground!!!! It is covered by a giant shade/sail which is AMAZING in the hot Houston sun!! The ground cover is a non-mess rubber which is super cool. The playground is actually divided into two separate ones: one for younger kids and one for older kids. There is a Splash pad at this park BUT it is closed due to Covid. The Pearland Recreation website said that the splash pad is typically open April 1-October 1. Surprisingly, the restroom facilities were OPEN (despite Covid). Cleanliness of the faculty could use some work... it was pretty gross in there. Good to have access to a restroom nonetheless. Other than that, we didn't really explore the area much. There is a dog park here, a walking/fitness trail, pavilions for picnics, etc. We can't wait to return!
