I grew up with Lebanese neighbors and also restaurants around and I have to say that since I've been in this country (different state) I haven't been able to had a almond rice with chicken like the one I had home: I actually cried a little! (Tears of joy, of course!). I started with a Tabbouleh salad (so fresh!) and kibbehs (perfectly cooked). For my protein I had the chicken Taouk- not dried at all, so flavorful! And the Lebanese chicken almond rice that was just exactly how it's supposed to be! Of course I couldn't finish all that food but I had to get some dessert and the Baklava is my fav, here they serve it with pistachio rolled ice cream. Oh boy was I full! It was worth every penny. This place did more than delivery a great meal: they took me back to my childhood. The tables, chairs, decor and music were on point and they take care of their customers in a timely manner, very efficient. I recommend. Can't wait to come back!

The pita bread they serve here was warm and fragrant. Their aioli paired with it enhance it even more. I was on a carb diet and decide to take a cheat day so I can eat more bread! I ordered their Lebanese Bistec which are what they are known for. It came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. Bistec are pan seared tender medallions with a really excellent umami mushroom sauce. Yes, more pita bread was used to mop up the sauces. Too bad I didn't have enough room for desert. If you are ever in town prior to a cruise, go check out Sirocco. I barely scratched the surface of their menu and this place would be perfect for both a date night or large gathering with friends.

One of my friends hopped on to Open table and made a reservation for 12noon just in case, since we were a party of 9. We were a few minutes early and the restaurant did open right at 12noon - They did take an extra couple of minutes to open up but it wasn't a big deal. We were seated soon after and we each ordered our own meals and paid separately, My review is completely based on my own experience. Aesthetically the restaurant is gorgeous! Mediterranean with feminine vintage decor...very unique and pretty:) Our server took our drink selections and I opted for just a Pepsi/Coke...can't remember which one they offer. There is free mini pitas and butter at the table which are absolutely delicious...soft, warm and melt in your mouth. I didn't order an appetizer since some of the others ordered apps and told me to share so I did try their falafels which were really good. For my entree I went with the cauliflower appetizer: Zesty Cauliflower - Dusted with our flour mix, fried, and topped with zesty tahini sauce and a side of french fries. The cauliflower was just OK - a bit soggy and didn't really seem like it was dusted and fried at all. Fries were also nothing major to write home about - they were fine in the world of fries. Since we were a party of 9, there was an 18% tip automatically added to each of our bills, which was totally fine, since I can imagine dealing with a large group can be a little bit of a pain. Overall I just felt like the restaurant is a bit overpriced. My soda, side of fries and cauliflower appetizer came out to exactly $40. I just didn't think it was a meal worth $40.

The original owner came from Montreal Canada, and surprisingly they have Poutine Fries on the menu too! You woke up to the counter with has an open kitchen behind it and you order your meal right there. The gentleman behind the counter was extremely polite and helpful The wifey had the Falafel wrap meal, and I had the chicken Shawarma wrap. We sat right in the middle of the store, which as I mentioned previously is quite a unique experience and we enjoyed our lunch as it was very flavorful. We have in the past taken their various family meals home, which have been very generous in quantity, very tasty and quite reasonable. Yes, we will be back here when in the area Fellow Yelpers if you are in the mood for a quick Mediterranean lunch or dinner do pop in and give this place a try you will not be disappointed!

The food was inconsistent - - some of the beef dishes were fairly authentic and quite tasty. The lamb chops were overcooked - but still tasty. Unfortunately, some of the more "exotic dishes" fell down: My Lamb Tagine was really disappointing. The lamb itself was tender but the flavors were lacking - there was no depth in the sauce and, other than two cooked plums, there were no vegetables. There were not anywhere enough servers for the restaurant - it was a Saturday night and there was a nice crowd. Too bad; La Vie has potential but it did not deliver.

Overall, an outstanding experience. I'll definitely be back and only wish they had more locations.

The place was beautifully well designed and the music just brought the vibes. We were greeted immediately by a staff, Miriam. She was very friendly and so informative about the menu. Right when we were sat down another staff came and offered us couple of options of bottled water. The restaurant house bread which was toasted pita with an olive dip was delicious. My son and I had an espresso martini. Best we've ever had and the presentation was beautiful. Miriam gave us suggestions of what were popular and what were her favorites. We went with a couple dishes. Started with the shrimp dish that looked to be cooked in a spicy tomato sauce. It came with a side of pita/naan bread. Both came to the table very hot. The way I like my food. Btw. It was DELISH!!!! Then we had a single order of the mixed grilled. Everything on that platter was so flavorful. I'm usually not a fan of chicken breast but this one had so much flavor and still a bit moist. The filet was so tender and again flavorful. The ground meat stick was very moist and had the perfect amount of seasoning. We ate everything. Really wish we ordered the meal for two. We ended our dinner with their kaniff cheese dessert with a side of pistachios ice cream. The dessert came on a hot plate. It looked dipped in breadcrumbs and fried in butter. Then drizzled with honey and topped with lots of pistachios. It was perfect way to end our dinner. It wasn't too sweet and the pistachios ice cream tasted homemade. Both were so good. Everything Miriam suggested was a hit. My son and I had a great time. We will be back on Friday and bring the rest of our family to try the food and watch the belly dancing show. Everyone there was so helpful. Great place to try Lebanese food. AMAZING!!! Thank you Miriam for making this dining experience wonderful. Lira Beirut celebrates this through its food, decor and service. The whole vibe of the place seems extracted from a cool corner of Beirut with beautiful retro-cool artwork that is colorful, happy and sophisticated. From graphic prints, to black and white photos and architectural studies, it gives you a sense of a culture that takes the best of the middle east and cosmopolitan worlds. That sets the stage for the food served here. This is not a watered-down shawarma spot to pacify over-served revelers. It's a place to meet real foodie friends who appreciate authenticity and carefully prepared dishes in an elevated way. I haven't had a chance to go to the Middle East, but I can tell from the deft use of spices, heat and technique that their intention is to share the best from their food memory of the old country. I've gone on a few occasion and really enjoyed the fattoush salad, the labneh mtwame, the muhammara, the chicken shawarma plate and the kafta. Many of the dishes come with the crispiest, most addictive fries I've had, gorgeous savory rice and a heap of fresh, fragrant herbs. Even the wine list is pretty nice, and I've had the well priced Sauvignon Blanc and the Pouilly Fuisse. I wished the location were better for us and for them. It could use a more visible location where nice traffic goes by it. Since it's at the edge of Wynwood where it borders with the slowly gentrifying Overtown, it could take a while before its riches are recognized. I can't wait to go back for happy hour again, and I long to see the day when this becomes an awesome neighborhood hangout as they build more apartment buildings in the area that can house people who will appreciate all that Lira Beirut offers.
