Incredibly unprofessional after spamming me with 5+ appointment reminders when I showed up "Gage" told me my appointment was cancelled because my insurance referral had expired a few days before and it wasn't their responsibility. When I asked for her medical license # he refused to give it to me saying I could call someone else. The appointment had been scheduled months in advance and they did nothing to make sure I got the important follow up care required after a surgery. So two years ago my husband and I went in because we both had things to have looked at. My husband had this keloid looking bump on his wrist. Dr. Clara looked at and said it was nothing. Welp here we are two years later and we asked another dermatologist about it... he looked at it and said... we need to get a biopsy on that! Well it's cancer!!!!!! Terrible experience here. Dr. Henry and her staff were not only cold as ice but far from helpful in solving my issues. She breezed over my 2 primary concerns with "I don't know" as her diagnosis, and for the occasional and light scalp acne I asked about she wanted me to take antibiotics(hell no not for that), use a topical foam and 4different dandruff shampoos. I was in the waiting room reading all these reviews and was ready to just walk out. I am happy to say my experience was not like everyone else's. The doctor was friendly and gentle, appointment was quick. The only negative was that whoever I had to speak with on the phone sounded a little short with me- but maybe they don't realize that. DON'T COME HERE!! This is literally the worst doctor I've ever interacted with. She told me the reason I have dandruff is because of oily hair, even though I told her i get it from reactions to gluten and other foods I'm allergic to. She told me to buy four different shampoos and alternate it every day, which all of them contain extremely harsh chemicals and toxic ingredients. I actually did the opposite of this and wash my hair two times a week and all my dandruff has cleared up. She laughed at me and was extremely rude when I couldn't remember the name of one of my products. And told me to go get a product from target instead of prescribing anything for my acne. She insisted that I had oily skin even though I'm extremely dry and I immediately had a bad reaction to the product she recommended. I told her I've had terrible back acne for five years and she looked and said she didn't see any acne. I went home and checked and I had tons. On top of her being extremely rude and unhelpful, I got completely undressed for her to check my moles and she checked everywhere except for the one place I was concerned about. Proceeded to tell her that I have one on my lower back and she said if I've had it for several years then it's nothing to worry about. I called the doctors office ahead of time to make sure I only had to pay a certain balance and a month after my terrible appointment, they just messaged saying I owe another hundred dollars for a 15 minute appointment. This appointment is costing me hundreds of dollars and I wasn't even prescribed anything for my extreme acne, was made fun of for not remembering a skin care product, was told that clean products don't mean anything and is unimportant, was told I don't have any back acne, and was told to wash my hair every day with four different shampoos that I mentioned I had already used all of and had no results. I am a college student with no extra money and literally cried for an hour after this appointment because of how rude and demeaning she was. Please please save your time and money! And just remember, even old ass doctors that have been in the industry for a long time, still don't know what the hell they're talking about. Literally don't know how she has her license! read more

I went to Dr. Henry for an annual skin cancer check and to see about my cracked lips. During the skin cancer check, she didn't even look at my feet or my backside. For the lips, she prescribed an ointment. I got home from the pharmacy and read the warnings. It is not to be used for patients with glaucoma (she knows I have it) and is not to be used near the mouth (where does she think my lips are?). I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Henry. She is the absolute best. I've been a patient of hers for quite a number of years now. I'm 64 and have spent a good bit of time in the sun over the years. The skin damage is predictable. Last August I discovered a lesion on my lower back. I called to see about getting an appointment. They got me in that same day. Dr. Henry suspected a melanoma. Sure enough that's what it turned out to be. She took the initiative to schedule an appt for me with a local surgeon who saw me almost immediately. Had the surgery and solved the problem. Could have easily been a problem were it not for Dr. Henry's fast action. Attentive, thoughtful and thorough. She's terrific. read more

This is my first visit not very impressionable front office staff. Particulary one person. I had forgotten my ID in my other wallet and had my insurance card with me. I was told I could not be seen by the extremely unprofessional lady behind the glass window. She said it was BCBS policy. I had to reschedule my appt to get my ID. I asked can I go get it after my appt. Thats when she rudely said no. I called BCBS and they said all they need is my insurance card to file the papers plus I knew it was a lie having worked in Dr offices myself. I returned with my ID and told her what BCBS had stated and then she said "ITS OUR POLICY" so lied and I will not be back. Very unpleasant. Lets hope the DR isnt like her. DO NOT GO HERE. This office just confirmed today that they are only interested in making $$$ off of the patients. These guys are assholes. They are not very pleasant understanding people in this office. Clara Henry does not listen to her patients. I missed 3 appointments because I was stuck at work or not feeling well. They said I could no longer go back to that office. They definitely have no compassion or understanding that things happen in people's lives that prevents us from getting to appointments in which we need to reschedule. I'd rather find a more compassionate doctor anyway. read more

Made an appointment to have a specific mole checked and for a overall check- had never been to a dermatologist. The mole was checked and found to be nothing but the doctor refused to do the overall check saying that would have to be another visit. Of course so she could get another $50 co-pay and bill my insurance again. read more

I find it interesting that one review said she claims everything to be eczema, because she misdiagnosed my eczema, claiming it to be guttate psoriasis. Luckily, I requested a biopsy. She gave me no treatment options besides topical steroids, which only mildly treat the issue. And yes, the front office staff is very rude and unprofessional. Not only were they misplacing files, but one girl in particular had to pull out a calculator for basic math. Didn't get a good feeling about this office. Seeking new dermatologist. Read all these reviews. I've been to Clara many times annually to have sun spots looked at and or frozen, just routine checkups. Been around long enough to just accept and ignore office staff that hate their jobs. They are very poor in this clinic. It is wide spread in most industries today and it will certainly continue to decline in healthcare with the Affordable Care Act. Robert R. described Clara as "one of the most unpleasant old ladies". My first impression of Clara was simple bizarre and strange I've never witnessed in any Dr. Once again I have accepted professionals with bad attitudes, poor bed side manners and no personalities like Clara as long as their treatment helped or worked. Until she misdiagnosed my youngest daughter after several visits and several refills of a med that was making her condition grow worse. After ONE visit with another dermatologist in Flower Mound who diagnosed it correctly and explained the misdiagnoses and how the wrong med made the situation grow worse my daughter was cured of the condition soon after and no longer has any condition or meds to use. She provided me with a thorough examination, taking her time in explaining to me was my skin issue was and how we were going to treat it. Since going through menopause 10 years ago and dealing with daily hot flashes and night sweats, my face has showed an increasing redness. I have been to 2 dermatologists (Dr. Henry being the 2nd) concerning the redness. The first dermatologist stated it was rosecea but the Metrogel did not help. I was not ready for the laser treatment recommended so I did not return. After 3 more years of restricting my social activities due to the many concerned comments about my health, etc., I decided to go to another dermatologist. Dr. Henry informed me that she herself suffered from rosecea and had to wear a lot of makeup to cover it up. She also told me, not once but 3 times, that it was not life-threatening. She prescribed an antibiotic and did not see the need to schedule a follow-up. I got from this that I was wasting her time with a non-life-threatening problem. I told her my problem may not be life-threatening but it affected most aspects of my life so I considered it to be important. She did not. I will not be returning to see her. read more

Dr Henry has high clinical aptitude. She communicates clearly and after almost 30 days of dealing with an infection after inadequate treatment from Minor Emergency of Denton she properly biopsied and cultured the newest lesion and she didn't wait for me to come back 3 times to do it she did it the first time so she would know exactly what to treat. I left in tears with gratitude that finally I might start healing. I'm hoping that the delayed proper diagnosis and treatment from MED denton doesn't result in scars and long term pain. This has been a suck month. Thanks to Dr Henry for agreeing I had no business being sent to an emergency room. My lesions are improving. Slowly... but surely... I've noticed other comments and can understand she is blunt but that is typical of a highly skilled physician. She has thick skin and I appreciate that about her because my default trust for medical physicians I don't know is quite low given the number of mistakes that has been made in my care in the past. That didn't intimidate her at all and she encouraged being a full participant in my care. I feel like I might actually get better thanks to her. Oh, and her staff was very nice. When I showed up I was very irritated because I was in pain and highly inflamed. Didn't affect them one bit. Truly a compassionate clinic. read more
