Clam Gulch Campground is a beautiful place to escape on the Kenai Peninsula. Its one of the few places you'll find with a remote beach that you can sun bathe, fish, clam dig and potentially swim if its warm enough all while in the shadows of snow capped volcanoes. This beach is one of my favorite places to escape to in the summer with my husband.
The Campground is HUGE, with over a hundred sites that are nicely spaced. There's potable water and pit toilets as well. The wall to the beach is BRUTAL- 4 WHEEL DRIVE IS HIGHLY RECOMMEND and you cannot make it in a RV. VERY MUCH Recommend this location if you want to escape, the view is phenomenal. Its about an hour from the nearest significant grocery store in Homer, so bring everything you need. Enjoy the escape! read more
