Dr. Kelly and the physicians are wonderful. The nursing and office staff, however, are poorly trained/lack professionalism and provide very poor care. Without giving too much health information away about my child... we were given crucial newborn health information late/the nurses would not call back on numerous occasions. We were told "not to worry about it" and the nurse on call refused to listen to my child's respiratory sounds (which were croup) even despite me explaining that he had retractions. waiting times are not the greatest and the nurses are not accommodating nor creative in obtaining vitals/labs/etc. The waiting room area looks like it has not been updated since the 80s and I have never seen anyone intentionally cleaning the "sick" waiting area. Being a parent is difficult... the last thing you want to do is worry about the doctor's office staff giving you a hard time.

We have Dr. Sherwinter as our primary pediatrician and he is exceptionally good. He is one of Atlanta's finest and has been consistently featured as one of Atlanta magazine's top doctors. He demonstrated what an ideal pediatrician should be. He has been very generous in giving us referrals to other finest doctors in atlanta. I just hope he will not be retiring anytime soon. We have seen Drs.Reisman, Groeffer, Kelly and Berenson who were also skillful ,knowledgeable in their field and has demonstrated good bedside manner. 2. OFFICE - nothing fancy but clean. I'll give it a 3.5 3. OFFICE STAFF - they deserve a NO STAR -they've gone downhill. My recent experience was when i placed a call to make a sick appointment. I asked what's the earliest appt.they have -Destiny asked me whats wrong with my child and I replied she's been running a fever of 104 in the past 2 days and she said WHOA! Thats high! I replied that's why im calling and asking her the earliest appt.,she then told me that they only have Dr. Quarishi (the new doctor) which I had refused to see again bec he doesn't read his patient's chart before seeing them (he mistook my other daughter to be the one he's supposed to check) I felt that she should have asked for my preference and given me all options as my right as patient- She then told me she has Dr. Kelly at 430, so I requested her to book us for that. Later, I realized that I couldve checked the dunwoody location for any openings so i spoke to someone (which i missed to get the name while attending to a sick/cranky child) she asked me how quick we can get to Dunwoody, I said abt1 hr as we are still coming from the Forsyth area, she sarcastically remarked "i dont have any idea where is that" - Duh! They really lack manners and should be informed abt dos and donts in phone conversation. Anyway she booked us with Dr.Sherwinter. I informed her to cancel our initial booking in Alpharetta and she said she will. When we got to the Dunwoody location, the reception told me that we are not on the list - wow they really make it easy for parents with sick children! After I insisted that someone confirmed it with me, they eventually accommodated us otherwise I was prepared to make a scene with all the attitude that I have to endure from their staff. They have never apologized for their mistakes. 4. SICK APPOINMENTS - I'll give it 1 star, i dreaded it everytime i have to call them to make a sick appt cuz they are not therapeutic nor comforting at all. They make you feel that it's your fault that your child got sick. 5. NURSES - Overall, they are okay, the really good ones are gone, ill give them 3.5 stars, lately weve been seeing new nurses. Some appeared to have just got their LPNs as they seemed to be still struggling organizing their tasks.

The most unacceptable experience involved repeated attempts to contact the office manager, Roger. I left several messages and received no return call. After being completely ignored, I went to the office in person, expecting at the very least a conversation. Instead, I was met with indifference and disrespect. After explaining my concerns at the front desk, a middle-aged man approached and immediately stated that the office was closing and that I would need to come back another day. He did not introduce himself, did not ask how he could help, and made it very clear that my concerns were an inconvenience. When I introduced myself, he admitted that he had received my messages yet still made no effort to address the situation. As I attempted to explain my concerns, he spoke over me, dismissed what I was saying, and ultimately walked away mid-conversation. Being treated this way--especially by someone in a leadership position--was shocking and unacceptable. After years of loyalty, time, and trust, this was the final confirmation that patient concerns no longer matter at this practice. While there have been multiple issues over the years, this encounter made our decision clear. After fourteen years, our family will no longer be receiving care from this office. And she was true to her word for years. Fast forward to today and this group now has multiple locations. And instead of caring about their patients, they are now extremely corporate in every way. You don't always get to see a doctor. The front desk staff is borderline abusive and their attitude scream not only indifference but also disdain. They act like they're dealing with you from on-high. He is full of medical facts and knowledge but is also silly enough to make the kids feel at ease. Since I have a daughter, she seems to enjoy having a female check her out and Dr Hlobik has also been amazing - understanding and compassionate. They are very responsive and kind to frazzled first time parents. The nurses and staff have also been great. They remember my daughter and joke around with her. It is a welcoming and pleasant experience, even in bad circumstances.

I explained that Im making the first appt.( well visit ) because I would love to meet the Dr. first, and It would take another 3 weeks to get the records of the kids so it would delay the visit....She did not care at all! Their enthusiasm is readily evident and infectious. He taught us his favorite swaddling technique and his favorite baby-calming hold/jiggle, and he was visibly and vocally sad when we left the office: "I hope I don't see you soon [because I don't want your babies to be sick], but I'm sad I won't see them as often." -He is all about empowering you as a parent, rather than spoon-feeding you precise information (which doesn't work, because all infants are different!) He gently encourages you to trust your newly-emerging parental instincts and read your baby's cues, and he has a phenomenal sense of when to push you on this, versus when you need more support and hand-holding. -When our boys had fevers after their first vaccines and we called his call service at night, he called back in less than a minute. He also assured us that "as new parents, you should feel free to have a very low threshold when it comes to calling me tonight. Don't feel bad or silly. It's your right and I expect it." -He is exceptionally flexible when it comes to scheduling. As stated in other reviews, it's easy to get a same-day appointment if you need it. He's also open on Sundays for walk-ins and a handful of well visits. -He is humble and honest. When I told him how happy we were to have found him, he said "well, there is a honeymoon period. If you ever - EVER - feel that your are less than happy with my office, please let me know." -The nurse practitioners in his office are wonderful. Kelly Hightower also does lactation consulting - either in office or at your home - and is SO good at what she does. She had suggestions for breastfeeding twins that I would have never thought of. -As a same-sex couple, my partner and I have always been treated with warmth, kindness, and respect - in other words, we've been treated as they would treat any other couple. The check in process is very smooth, wait times are less than 15 minutes, well child waiting rooms are clean + supplied with water/coffee/tea, the interior of the clinic is fresh and bright. Dr. Muller is thorough and to the point. We have only seen her once but felt very comfortable and trusted her care. She was out/booked out so we scheduled our well child check with the physician assistant, Amanda and it was not as smooth (she was friendly but did not introduce herself, when we asked specific questions about things such as his teeth-- she had to go back into his mouth to look again, which was a bit surprising that she had not noticed/been thorough the first time she looked).
