Unlike Sauchiehall Street and Argyle Street, you won't find any charity shops or pound shops here. Instead you'll find a great selection of high end high street fashion stores. One of these such stores is Karen Millen. Although a little over budget for the majority of high street shoppers - Karen Millen is a heavenly shop with heavenly clothes. Tailored, stylized and good quality - this place proves your Mum true when she said "you get what you pay for." This particular Karen Millen store is a really great size and stocks a large range of clothing. Worth a visit!

Every time I wander in I feel like a kid in a sweet shop - I would love to have a wardrobe full of dresses from here, but sadly, I don't. Everything is so glamorous and you'll also find shoes, handbags and other accessories to match your outfit. Unfortunately, everything is really pricey and my student budget doesn't stretch that far but one day one of the amazing dresses modelled in the various eye-catching window displays will be mine! There's also a smaller concession of Karen Millen in House of Frasers but for the full experience you definitely have to venture across the road.

It's not their fault, it's the economy, and that's why we need to buy cheap imports via discount…read moreretailers such as Primark. The whole ethos of these types of stores is cheap disposable clothing sold at discount prices to keep the customers coming back for more. Fortunately for them this is the type of economy that our government is intent on supporting it is of course nonsense thinking. The store itself is large and carries a large range of ladies clothing, a reasonable range of mens clothing and small selection of childrens clothing for any particular age group. I personally have a problem with shops that are either too busy or too hot, this shop is both and probably goes a long way to explaining my utter antipathy for the place and all those people who swear by it. Rather grudgingly I'll admit that I usually end up buying a few items from here and the kids are more or less exclusively dressed in Primark, we just can't afford to buy better quality clothing and when you're down a hole you tend to do what you need to to get by which is why these shops do well. When I was in today it was busy by 11am and I was beginning to get ratty, it doesn't help that they only have a few tills on and you're forced to queue for a few minutes (not fun with a small bored and over heating child), in fairness the queue does tend to go down rather quickly, so the counter staff do do some kind of a good job. Still, it's only getting one star because I hate the place.

A large shop located within East Kilbride town centre. Primark took over the old somerfield store…read moreso its a big shop. Has a HUGE ladies dept, mens is quite small and again a large childrens dept. Its usually very busy--worse at weekends . My main gripe with Primark is that they dont have 2 sets of tills on so the tills in the ladies dept is usually wrapped around half the shop--luckily it does go down quite quickly but its not fair when you are standing with a basket and a pram and an agitated toddler. Plenty of friendly staff around to assist you. Shoe dept does look like a jumble sale at points but there is usually an assistant on hand tidying up. Their kids pyjamas are great value at only £3 and wash and dry well.

Mum contacted several alteration companies recommended by Lady G, was told dress would need completely remade and would cost about £400. If we were told that prior to purchasing wouldn't have bought the dress as it was already expensive. No refunds given. Horrible way to treat people especially when it comes to wedding outfits for mother of the bride. A huge day for someone lady g completely ruined experience. Took Lady G to court and won the case! Managed to get all money back, and sell the dress online and money for that too. Avoid at all costs!! Awful customer service and very cheeky!

If you have to shop in Lady G, be absolutely sure you are ok with your purchase as MANAGEMENT!!! Will not under ANY circumstances allow a refund. The staff May offer an exchange but if you hesitate hoping for a refund MANAGEMENT will very quickly withdraw their offer by letter then ignore any other correspondence. Not very professional. One member of staff made the comment " it wasn't too much of a big deal in the big scheme of a wedding" Really?????? I feel extremely let down and financially robbed.
