Recent additions to the shop include very pretty Mother and child accessories and crockery, including a Beatrix Potter range. While not cheap (some of the clothes are crazy dear, craaazy dear) you can rely on being the best dressed Mum or child around, if that is your priority. Tucked away down on the quite splendidly west endy Skirving Street on the South Side, this place is a quite funky wee shop with cutsey clothing, accessories and other bits and bobs for gals and babies.....there is a gentle nod to some guys stuff but really, with a name like Butterfly Kisses they aint exactly lookng to corner the man market. Anyway, this is a cute wee place with some really funky gear. Ok its a tad pricey but to be honest the gear looks to be of a high quality and its in nowhere near the same ridiculous price bracket as the west end. With a freindly and helpful owener i do hope this place is around to celebrate its second birthday come next year.....me likes.

My perpetual tour of 'girly shops' continues…read more Initially the emphasis was on fun and funky accessories in this shop but now, as well as the handbags and jewellery they have a selection of glamorous and glitzy clothes too. Basically it does what it says on the tin! The goods are laid in out by colour, which I like, the emphasis being on colourful tops studded with the ubiquitous sequin and sexy dresses. You know what I'm trying to say. Hopefully. For such unusual clothes, prices are very reasonable starting at around £20 with regular sales.

The chap that l showed the chain to went to the back of the shop and examined the chain on his return offered a measly £12.00 for the chain that nearly cost £500 two years before. He must have thought that l was stupid or something. I took it to a reputable goldsmith and had it repaired while l was there l asked them what the scrap value was informed that l could get £420.00 cash on the spot for the chain. Always shows you that if ever in doubt, check it out.

It is not over-used: I have always been the only customer when I visit, and the staff are really helpful and honest, even telling me that the website isn't updated that often and it is always best to check with them for the latest prices! It has a fairly small stock, but it does stock a cheap range of accessories, making it ideal for an emergency purchase of a new keyboard or mouse. It has a huge range of cables, though, and is something of a treasure house for anyone wanted to update their computer without shelling out on a new machine.

I brought my Marshall headphones in with a gold plated jack for repair/replacement and they just…read moredestroyed the value of my headphones, the fix doesn't even work. The cable has been melted at one place due to the "technician" dropping the soldering iron on it. The brand new replacement gold plated jack I brought in has scratch marks on it and has been bent, therefore when plugged in only one earphone works... In the end got my money back but still have a melted cable, broken jack plug and a few cm off my cable... and no fix. I am very sorry but I do not recommend this shop for music repairs, they didn't even say sorry :O

Although, do keep in mind that Saturdays are their busiest days and hence, some services can take longer depending on local demand. The staff are very friendly, helpful and honest about how well the repair can be expected to be. For instance, there are no false promises if you have left something for too long to repair. They also stock a wide range of shoe and key paraphernalia as well as zippo lighters and the like.

I've actually been here a few times…read morenow - it's in the Skirving St strip of shops which I love, and Young's is always worth a stop in. It's a second hand book shop, and as the title suggests, you're going to find some interesting gems in here. The window display is always amazing and they tend to have something quirky/unusual in there, or themed (recently they've had Star Wars stuff in the window). It's definitely worth taking time for a browse in here - if you were looking for something in particular you could ask for help, otherwise it's nice just to chill out and have a browse. You never know what you're going to find.

In fact, scratch that, following the recent death of Borders or as my friend and his Northern accent calls it 'Boarders' at last another book shop! The name could be argued as a bit presumptuous.. but it has of course a wide range of second hand books from curiosities to standards and is just the place book lovers love to while away an hour or so. If you like to feel the book in your hand that has likely been all over the world, read a wee bit and judge not by it's cover or the anonymous tips of online book sellers then this is definitely the place for you. The prices are reasonable and they buy as well as sell. Ideal.
