During my teenage years, a constant feed of Nintendo, Sky TV, and Lucozade combined to give me a frankly shocking attention span that's resulted in me finding it very difficult to get into too many books and abandoning them after one chapter. It's something I'd like to rectify, and Young's is as good as any a place to start.
Small, cute, and a lot newer than it looks, it stocks a good range of dusty classics, modern fiction, reference and humour books. All very lovely, but my personal favourite was the 80s and 90s Beano annuals, which I could actually remember from primary school the first time round. read more
