There are plenty of classes available with different instructors at various times throughout the week. On weekend mornings, there are a few options which is great, especially for those like myself who may not wake up in time for the first class. All instructors exceeded my expectations - they never pushed us to do more than our bodies could handle. They taught in a way that motivated me to push myself. Talk about bullies. I thought martial arts was supposed to be a place to combat bullies? I will not be silenced. I joined the SMA kickboxing classes in January 2016 via a Living Social Deal iLoveKickboxing. After those classes were used, I decided to purchase 35 classes. The instructor was absolutely INCREDIBLE. If this review was for him, it would get 5 stars. However, he is no longer teaching there. I noticed recently that SMA exchanged most of their kickboxing branding from iLoveKickboxing to "SMA X-Treme", while still keeping the iLoveKickboxing products and not purchasing anything new. The bags are in terrible condition with hardly any padding left and someone could get seriously injured. I did my research and noticed that they are no longer members of the iLoveKickboxing website. When asked when they'll be getting new bags. They say they have no money. So my question is... Where are the members fees going? Where is the money from the children's karate classes going? To the owner's vacations? To their pyramid schemes that they constantly force upon their clients on Facebook? (31 gifts, Isagenix, etc.). I have at least 20 classes left of my membership and I'd rather throw away my money than go back to a place that mistreats their employees and their clientele. (I would like to note that I have not talked to my old instructor about this review and he has done nothing to influence my decision to write this review. In fact, he begged me to take it down. But I would not because I think it's more important to stick up for what I believe in).

He started attending classes this year, and has never once said "I don't wanna go!" when it's time to leave - which, in our house, is unheard of. All of the instructors are kind and inclusive while remaining firm (not yelling, though) with their students. There's a focus on internal growth that as a parent I appreciate.
