My wife has been taking her SUV to CJ's for the past 4 years for inspections, oil changes, and tires. Just 6 weeks ago she took her vehicle in for an inspection and oil change. Last weekend the car would idle out when you applied gas and eventually stall out. I looked under the hood and saw that the coolant reservoir was bone dry, so I went to the autozone and got the coolant needed. This did not help the situation, I checked the hose and looked for leaks. No trouble found. We called the dealership and had the car towed there. The dealership mechanics found a failed sensor caused by an air filter incorrectly installed. The replacement cost $800. When my wife went to CJ's and talked to the manager she directly asked(and got a print out) if during her service the air filter changed. The manager said yes. When she explained the situation the manager asked her to bring the dealership work order for them to review. When she did that he told her that they have videos of their technicians working on her car and they couldn't have placed it in wrong and there was nothing they could do. No one has worked on that car in 4 year so why would the dealership make up a story when they could've just told her that the sensor failed? There wasn't any coolant in the car which should have been noticed during the inspection; so if the technician can't even handle that, why can we inspect them to install an air filter? This is how things work with people and businesses; no one takes responsibility for their mistakes. 4 years of business gets you a shoulder shrug. It wasn't possible to get a photo of the air filter screw up but here's one of the coolant tank before we had to get the car towed. If I could rate CJ's tires negative 2 stars I would.

Came out perfect !!

If I could give zero reviews, I would. The man that I dealt with, which I do believe is the owner,…read morewas atrocious. My fiancé was in a car accident two nights ago and the police dispatched this business to tow our vehicle from the scene. The car was totaled and my fiancé was taken to the hospital immediately from the scene. When I got to the scene, I was going to get all the stuff from the car, but the tow truck driver gave me a car and told me I didn't have to worry about it and I could get it the next day from the lot. When my fiancé and I showed up to get our belongings from the vehicle, the woman at the desk had us sign a "promise to pay" document, since we were getting our belongings. She printed out a second copy and that's when a man came in from the shop area and approached the desk. You could tell he was already mad. He was wanted us to pay $650 to get our stuff. He did not tell me at the crash site that I would have to pay, so I was not prepared for that. The card he gave me at the site also states they cannot guarantee the safety of my vehicle or it's contents and that they are not liable for any damage or theft, so I did not feel comfortable leaving my personal belongings in the vehicle. Neither myself or my fiancé have ever been in an accident and had to deal with this stuff, so we were unsure what to expect, but it definitely wasn't the irate cursing out of the man from this shop. I am a 5' tall woman...not intimidating at all, and this man verbally attacked me. He tried to tell me that my fiancé was arguing with he police that night, when my fiancé wasn't even there. I did have him on FaceTime while I was on scene, while he was in the back of the ambulance on his way to the hospital. The officer was just asking him questions about what happened and all that. After slamming my car keys on the counter, 3 inches away from my face, he told me "get your fucking shit and get off my lot" and told us not to sign the paperwork that was in front of us. So that's what we did. We went to the lot and started collecting everything from the car and this man then came out to us. I immediately started recording on my phone (I already had it out taking pics for the insurance company) because I already knew that he was likely to start berating me again, which he did. I will NEVER recommend this business to ANYONE, as this man judged my fiancé and I based on the year of our vehicle and the level of insurance we had on the car. He assumed we would not pay the fee for his services simply because we had an older car and basic car insurance. Funny thing is, I had every intention of paying (I do have morals and respect small businesses, especially local), I just wanted to talk with the insurance company first. I hadn't yet done so because I was waiting to get pictures and video of the vehicle. My suggestion is to avoid this place at all and if you HAVE TO go in there, don't go in alone. The owner is NOT friendly, attacks you on a personal level, judges you depending on your tax bracket, berates you in front of his employees and other customers, and is all around not a good business man.

**0 Stars (if possible)**…read more This review documents a serious workmanship failure and safety concern related to services performed at **Tires Plus - Royersford, PA**. I brought my **2011 Mercedes-Benz C300 4MATIC** to this location for a **Pennsylvania state inspection and installation of four new tires**. This vehicle requires **different tire sizes for the front and rear**, which is critical for AWD drivetrain operation. This requirement was discussed in advance with the store manager, **Bill**, who acknowledged it and assisted in selecting the tires. There was no misunderstanding regarding specifications. After dropping the vehicle off, Bill suggested that if I left a **5-star Google review**, I would receive **$10 off the service**. I declined, as no service had yet been completed and it would have been inappropriate to review work that had not occurred. Upon retrieving my vehicle, I noticed **grease residue on the tires and wheels**. Shortly after leaving the premises--but before entering Route 422--I heard a **clicking noise** coming from the vehicle. Due to safety concerns, I immediately turned around and returned to the shop. After inspection, Bill admitted that **the tires had been installed on the incorrect rims**. This error caused the tire to contact the **suspension strut**, resulting in: * A clicking noise while driving * **Physical damage to the wheel (scraping and gouging)** * Unnecessary stress on the **transfer case**, a critical AWD component This damage was not present prior to service. I questioned how the vehicle passed **state inspection** if the tires were installed incorrectly. Initially, Bill stated that he did not inspect the vehicle. When I pointed out that **inspection stickers had already been applied**, he acknowledged that the shop did in fact perform the inspection. This inconsistency raises serious concerns regarding the inspection process and oversight. As a resolution, I was offered **one tire at no charge**. This does not address the underlying safety issue. Stretching or misapplying a front tire onto a rear rim on an AWD Mercedes presents **ongoing safety risks and potential drivetrain damage**. At this point, I **do not feel safe operating the vehicle**. **Photos attached document the damage caused during service**, including: * **Scraping and gouging on the wheel lip and spokes** consistent with improper tire mounting * **Sidewall contact marks** consistent with tire-to-strut interference * Residue and mounting marks not present prior to service This experience reflects: * Improper tire installation * Failure to identify errors during inspection * Damage caused during service * Inconsistent explanations from management * A lack of regard for customer safety and manufacturer specifications Due to these issues, I cannot recommend this location. Customers relying on this shop for tire installation or state inspections--particularly for AWD or performance vehicles--should exercise caution and consider alternative service provider.

I started going to the Chester Springs location soon after they opened and received great service…read morefor a few years and many visits with my and my kids' cars. Then, as it seems to be the norm with chain auto shops a new manager took over once the original manager got the place up and running. With the new manager now running the shop I got an inspection and oil change with no surprises. Fast service with an appointment and no upsells. But, when I went to leave my TPMS said my tires were at 50 psi instead of the recommended 32 psi. I was told maybe my sensors needed to be recalibrated, but I told them I just checked my tire pressure the night before and the TPMS agreed with the pump pressure setting of 32 psi. A tech came out with an old fashioned mechanical gauge and sure enough it showed 50 psi. All I got was an oops, I guess I need to send the digital gauge aback for repairs and they let some air out of my tires That was not good, but forgivable. But then apparently another manager took over and that's when things went bad. I made an online appointment for an inspection at 10 am noting that I'd wait. When I arrived I was told they were swamped with drop offs and might not be able to get to me before noon when they went to lunch, and even then if there were any issues they might not finish that day so I should get a ride home and they'd call when it was done. I asked why do they allow scheduling an appointment if drop offs get first priority. He said that's just how they do it. I left and got my car inspected at a different shop, and was in and out in about an hour. A few days later I got an email with a survey about my "service" and the first question was would I recommend them. I answered 'No' and before allowing me to enter a reason why I got kicked off the survey and the link went dead. I guess if the website doesn't allow people to give bad reviews, they'll never get a bad review.
