My fiancé was in a car accident two nights ago and the police dispatched this business to tow our vehicle from the scene. The car was totaled and my fiancé was taken to the hospital immediately from the scene. When I got to the scene, I was going to get all the stuff from the car, but the tow truck driver gave me a car and told me I didn't have to worry about it and I could get it the next day from the lot. When my fiancé and I showed up to get our belongings from the vehicle, the woman at the desk had us sign a "promise to pay" document, since we were getting our belongings. She printed out a second copy and that's when a man came in from the shop area and approached the desk. You could tell he was already mad. He was wanted us to pay $650 to get our stuff. He did not tell me at the crash site that I would have to pay, so I was not prepared for that. The card he gave me at the site also states they cannot guarantee the safety of my vehicle or it's contents and that they are not liable for any damage or theft, so I did not feel comfortable leaving my personal belongings in the vehicle. Neither myself or my fiancé have ever been in an accident and had to deal with this stuff, so we were unsure what to expect, but it definitely wasn't the irate cursing out of the man from this shop. I am a 5' tall woman...not intimidating at all, and this man verbally attacked me. He tried to tell me that my fiancé was arguing with he police that night, when my fiancé wasn't even there. I did have him on FaceTime while I was on scene, while he was in the back of the ambulance on his way to the hospital. The officer was just asking him questions about what happened and all that. After slamming my car keys on the counter, 3 inches away from my face, he told me "get your fucking shit and get off my lot" and told us not to sign the paperwork that was in front of us. So that's what we did. We went to the lot and started collecting everything from the car and this man then came out to us. I immediately started recording on my phone (I already had it out taking pics for the insurance company) because I already knew that he was likely to start berating me again, which he did. I will NEVER recommend this business to ANYONE, as this man judged my fiancé and I based on the year of our vehicle and the level of insurance we had on the car. He assumed we would not pay the fee for his services simply because we had an older car and basic car insurance. Funny thing is, I had every intention of paying (I do have morals and respect small businesses, especially local), I just wanted to talk with the insurance company first. I hadn't yet done so because I was waiting to get pictures and video of the vehicle. My suggestion is to avoid this place at all and if you HAVE TO go in there, don't go in alone. The owner is NOT friendly, attacks you on a personal level, judges you depending on your tax bracket, berates you in front of his employees and other customers, and is all around not a good business man.

I have also had a experience with tire maintenance here that was a pleasant experience. A few years ago I was at work when I realized that I had a nail in my tire. I had a spare, but I wanted to take care of the old tire and get it fixed. I took it here, and I was very impressed at how quickly and effectively they worked, we were out in less than 15 minutes and the tire was good as new!! My only gripe with this location is if you do need maintenance done, there is not a whole lot of room to park. It is also tough to leave too, whether you decide to go onto South Valley Forge Road or Allentown Road. There is always alot of traffic at the Intersection which is good for business, but being so close to either red light cars can be backed up making it difficult to leave. Still, if I need gas I will stop by for the great prices and if I need more tire work doenN this will be my first pick.

When it persisted, I returned under warranty and was told there was no leak. Two months later, I returned for my PA inspection. Glenn's now found a different "hazardous" oil leak and would fail the inspection unless I authorized $2,500+ in repairs on the spot. I refused, they failed my inspection. I took the car to Mercedes-Benz Fort Washington, they passed the inspection, found those repairs unnecessary, and found the active leak was still coming from Glenn's prior repair. Glenn's picture showed me where the oil leak had traveled to, not the source of it. If you filter though the PR noise and do your research, you will notice my experience is not isolated.

This place is a disgrace to the automotive industry, and the owner, Luigi, should not be in business. I brought my son's car in for inspection stickers -- something simple. Luigi kept the car for TWO WEEKS and never did any work. No inspection. No repairs. Not even a phone call. Just silence, excuses, and complete disregard for our time. During that time, my son and I had to share my car -- all while he was preparing for his high school graduation. He had graduation rehearsals, a job to get to, and so did I. This caused real stress and hardship, but Luigi didn't care. He held the car hostage without explanation. When we called for updates, he was rude and nasty every single time. After two weeks of no progress, we went to the shop in person to get answers. What happened next was appalling. As soon as I entered the building -- calmly and respectfully -- Luigi came storming through the door, screaming at me in front of my teenage son. I hadn't even said a word. He yelled, "I'll call you when it's ready!" then shouted, "Take your paperwork and your car and GET OUT!" He was angry, aggressive, and hostile, acting as though I had no right to even be there. To make things worse, his wife was just as rude, cold, and completely unprofessional. Let me be clear: I am an African-American woman, and based on how I was treated -- with open hostility, no provocation, and no professionalism -- I strongly believe this was racially motivated. Luigi spoke to me with a level of disrespect and aggression that made me feel targeted, humiliated, and unsafe. My son watched it all unfold, and it was heartbreaking. Luigi originally quoted $250 for inspection stickers -- yet no service was performed. Just two weeks of delays, verbal abuse, and a total lack of accountability. Even though I feared for my life in that moment, one thing is certain: this will be the last time Luigi ever screams at a Black woman like that without being held accountable. He may have thought he could get away with it -- but not this time. If you are a woman, a person of color, or simply someone who expects to be treated with dignity and respect, then this is not the place for you. I will never go back. I will never recommend this business. And I will make sure everyone I know stays far away from Five Points Gulf Service Center in Blue Bell, PA.
