The trip to CJ's Stable was the high point of our grandchildren's three week stay at our cabin in Northern Michigan. The operation was extremely efficient. The on-line reservation system functioned well, and Cassandra promptly and politely followed up with my queries. Prior to the ride, a concise and child-friendly (ages 4 to 7 years) discussion about the horses, ride, and safety was presented. This did a great job in easing the anxiety on the part of the kids, who had little to no experience with horses, and grandparents. Safety is an obvious priority of the Stable operation. The stable hands leading each child exhibited excellent demeanors, carrying on a conversation with the kids throughout the ride and providing insights on horsemanship. The children had a great experience and are eager for their next opportunity to go horseback riding. I highly recommend CJ's Stable for families with young children. While camping in Traverse City, the only thing my daughter, on the autism spectrum, wanted to do was go horseback riding. I called many places and Cassie at CJ's Stable was the only one that returned my call! Booking trail rides online was super easy. Cassie was great to communicate with. but most importantly, Cassie was so kind and patient with my daughter! My daughter talked about horses and asked questions about horses during our entire hour long trail ride. Cassie was engaged and answered ALL! of her questions! They are wonderful! Beautiful horses, the carriage ride was amazing, gorgeous scenery. The owners are friendly and made the ride fun and so entertaining to talk with.
