my labradoodle Wolf is 90 pounds of tail wagging fun. I took him to Cj's at his VERY WORST, like I am surprised they didn't call the ASPCA, this dog was a hot mess, in my defense we live on the water and dog likes to party. I got him back and he was so beautiful and happy about it. smelled like mangos!! ears all clean, toe nails trimmed and even a festive bandana! super good value for what I brought to the party. should have charged me TWICE as much, this dog was so nasty when I brought him in!! will book again and recommend! read more

My boy looks so handsome! I have a huge Pyrenees mix who hadn't been groomed in quite some time. I gave CJs a call and they got him in much sooner than we expected, just a couple days later. They were super upfront about how long we could expect it to take and their pricing is great. I brought my big boy in today and the staff was friendly and it was clear they love the animals they work with. I came back around the time they said he'd be finished and he was gorgeous! He smelled good and his undercoat was thoroughly groomed. No surprises for price; we expected some due to the condition of my big boy's coat but no surprises, just a beautiful big dog to take home. They even helped me with him out to my car since I had my toddler with me. Will definitely be going back. read more

When We went there the 1st time and asked them to shave the matted areas and trim our cat, they did it perfectly with a slight trim on the their back. Then going there the 2nd time, they literally shaved my whole cat besides his face. And his Mattes weren't even that bad this around. Then we called to provide feedback and got pushback while trying to help them not make that mistake again in the future. Never going back! read more

I did not want to give this review but a $475.00 vet bill has changed my mind. I have never gotten my cat groomed before so since the reviews seemed solid enough I thought I'd give it a shot. Bad decision. Well my cat had a solid routine; I know his habits and his schedule and he was perfectly happy and normal. I take him to the groomers on March 25th. It has been 2.5 weeks since his grooming appointment at CJs. The first week after getting groomed he slept in my bed for 5 days and wouldn't move, wouldn't eat, wouldn't go to the bathroom even. I had to wake him up and try to force him to eat. He wouldn't follow me anywhere or go outside just slept. Then the second week he was a bit more active but still refuse to eat breakfast and slept most the day and barely ate dinner. They say after 2 weeks if your cat is having issues time for a vet visit. Was able to get in on Sunday April 11th. I get blood work, urine lab work, everything to find out what is going on. Well the Veterinarian gives me a 475.00 bill to inform me that they had stressed him out so bad or did something to him to cause him not to eat or drink water. He was dehydrated from not drinking and some of his kidney cells are in a stage where if he doesn't eat and drink he will have major kidney damage. Now the argument is "Meh meh meh he could of had that before" No, he didn't. He ate breakfast and dinner like clockwork, followed me everywhere, he would go outside, play with his favorite toys eat chicken his favorite food (which he refused in his stressed state unheard of). I know my cat. This is not acceptable and honestly CJs should compensate me for this vet bill for 475.00 since they caused it in the first place and caused some kidney disruption. Hopefully it gets better now that he's starting to eat more as there's no permanent damage according to the vet. He's still not acting 100% himself and have another scheduled visit in 2 more weeks to see where his lab results are at then. I am not pleased and will not be going here ever again and will be sharing my experience with others. read more

I have an English Bulldog named Tubby, that is hard headed and often grumpy (he IS a bulldog! And probably takes after me!) and they are very patient with him! CJ's is probably the only grooming salon that does cats. My cat is very feisty and does not like to he touched. We took him in to have his nails cut and he was very difficult for them. They were patient but stern. They weren't mean to him and got the job done. We apologized for his antics but they said he's a cat. It's their nature. Really appreciate that! Will not be returning. While they were able to get my two dogs in the day after I called looking for an appointment, the work they did on both was of very poor quality. I have a border collie whom they groomed but left very noticeable spots untouched completely so that her fur was much shorter in some places than others. The second dog, one really couldn't tell exactly what was done to her beside a bath....maybe? They over charged me and then the employee who rang me up expected a tip! I spent $130 on one poorly done dog haircut as far as anyone could tell. What a joke! They also charged me extra for brushing their teeth which wasn't done by the time I came back to pick them up, which they tried to cover up. It wasn't that they hadn't finished grooming my girls-both were in cages already, they simply took my $20 and did not provide the service for which I paid. Learn from my mistake and don't waste your time or money here. read more

This is the only place I take my dog. I've tried many other places in town and it's all ended horribly. My dog has gotten fleas, a swollen neck, among many other bad incidents. CJ's is really gentle with my dog and she comes home happy. They ask about the haircut you want for your dog and it turns out perfect every time. read more

We took our puppy to this salon yesterday and it was a wonderful experience. When we arrived, we were asked in detail how we wanted our little dog groomed and our comments were written for future reference. After taking 5 or 10 minutes to make sure all our wishes were addressed we departed and returned at the appointed time to find our little puppy had absolutely the best haircut of her entire 2 year life! We were astounded that a groomer could so perfectly groom our little wiggler, as well as brush her teeth. I'm telling you: "Go to this place and give them a try. You will be thrilled with the results." We'll never go elsewhere in the future. read more

CJ's Salon toook great care of my puppy. you could actually tell that he was clean which has been an issue with other groomers. I love that they did his ears and his nails were very smooth and rounded so he didn't scratch me. All the workers were so friendly. I highly recommend this locally owned business. read more

I started going to cjs because I saw the add for the $5 off coupon and decided to go try them out since they were right by my house closer than fluff and puff. After the 1st appointment I was told the grooming would only be $35 regularly. The 2nd visit I paid cash and their was no issue besides them mixing up my dogs harness collar with a smaller dogs and it being super tight on my dog. The 3rd time was fine I paid cash. The 4th time I used my debit and was charged $55! I asked about it once I got my receipt and was told that was because my dog is medium sized. I just feel this change in price should have been told to me when I called and made the appointment or at least before my card was charged. I also had some kind of allergic reaction from whatever natural ingredents they used on my dog where my throat was itchy tightening up that ive never experienced before. Overall they do a decent job! I just don't like surprises and prices changing without any heads up. I would have been a loyal customer because I live a block away. If the raise in price was told and explained to me. My dog has been 24-26lbs for the last two years. I have also taken my dog to the vet numerous times and he hasn't grown in 2 years. I know my dog is a medium sized dog and if I would have known the price was suppose to be $55 I would have never started taking my dog there in the first place because it was only $5 more than where I was taking him. But it now worth the extra 5 min drive up the road to save $25. read more
