My experience: bought a french door with bottom freezer pull out refrigerator from them. Refrigerator doesn't work after 2 weeks but the freezer is still okay for now. Ice maker doesn't work since they don't check or guarantee if it works in the first place. Just call them and was told the first available service is 2 weeks out with $65. Unless if you want to bring the refrigerator back to the shop to be serviced. So there's no way I can have it delivered and returned to my house with extra $300. With that being said, close to $800 spent only freezer works for now. Possibly I might have to throw this garbage away. Refrigerator $583 Delivery $150 Note to people: * Appliances from store should be guaranteed working in the first place. That includes ice maker. * If the appliance store delivers it, they should come to your location free of services within warranty period (most of them do, just not CJ Appliances). I had a washer delivered from this low end dishonest company. As they removed the old one they dragged it on my new hardwood floor! My renter had to stop them before they did further damage. Driver told my renter the process was to email the company for a resolution. So because I am the owner I emailed this low end company and their response was..."since it wasn't noted on the delivery receipt they were not responsible" the driver did not lead the recipient to note that and told us a email was the process. I sent CJ's this picture the same day, I would assume the delivery driver would admit this did happen but NO they stood their ground and did not take responsibility for this obvious damage. They offered me $50 delivery fee back. I do plan on pursuing this legally. I am sick of crappy companies taking no responsibility in their crappy services that damage homes!! I finished with C J Alliances. I had been a customer for 20 years and have never had so many problems with the quality of their products. I spoke with Mitchell directly about my problems so this review will not come as a surprise to her. First, I bought a refrigerator from them. It lasted 6 months before it started leaking water near the control unit and they said it most have been something the tenant did. I made the mistake of buying another refrigerator from them only to have to repair the power cord. I compounded my frustration when I bought a dryer and the service rep, Carol, couldn't have been more difficult. The dryer never worked and after coming out twice she said somebody must have broken the dryer door switch after it was installed. REALLY! And charged me $80 to fix it. Went to CJ's to buy a washing machine they had listed on Craigs list when we got there they did not have it. Purchased a different one that was also a Maytag. First load made terrible noises had a burning smell and would not drain. Had to wring out all the clothes and bail the water out of the machine. Drove the 45 minutes back to the store when they opened the next day to hear we would have to wait until noon for someone to call us back (3 hours). Received that call at 2:45pm and was told that the washer ran just fine only made a slight noise. When asked if any items where in the washer was told yes, when we said we could send a video of the loud noise and lack of draining the story changed to we laid the machine on its side (which we did not) thus voiding our 'warranty". Never mind she just finished saying it worked fine ! Have purchased used appliances for years with no issue this being the first one and last from CJ's. We purchased a stainless steel refrigerator that had dents and scratches after the finalization (so could it have happened on transport, possibly). The dents weren't something that was there before purchase therefore we requested new doors for the refrigerator we have. Now that they have replaced the doors the ice maker and fountain don't work. I called the shop and they said they will charge $65 (non-refundable) just to come out. Everyone at this store is friendly. They give you space to hem and haw but also will happily consult on anything you need help in. Don't see what you want? Just wait a week or a few days and come back. We saved over $1,000 on a fridge with everything still in plastic--really thrilled with it. I purchased a stackable W/D unit in January of 2015. When it was delivered, the unit could not be ran by the gentlemen whom delivered and installed the unit due to the risk of damaging the pump from the possibility of it being frozen while in transit from their location out to me in Aberdeen, MD (I'm stationed at APG). After a couple usages, I discovered it would leak on to the floor somewhat during it's spin cycle. I had to leave town for work shortly thereafter, and wasn't able to discuss the issue until after a month from their delivery. They suspected there might be a bad valve, so they came all the way back out to Aberdeen with a newer (and better) unit at no cost. I was a little apprehensive about buying a used appliance from anybody, even though this dealer has a 90-day warranty. Well, they came through in a big way. They are honest and do good business. I will absolutely go with them if and when I am in the market for another used appliance. Bought a refrigerator last weekend and it was delivered on Wednesday. The installation team left a giant gash in our hardwood floors and the refrigerator does not get cold. CJ's was very responsive and sent a technician to look at the appliance on Friday. The refrigerator still doesn't work and we were told the technician will come again next Thursday so see if a part needs to be ordered. We've been left with money out of our pockets, a destroyed wood floor and no working refridgerator for the foreseeable future. I would not recommend! read more

In the store it look like it was in the process of being cleaned so I asked the young lady working there Samantha if it was going to be cleaned before delivery she assured me absolutely!! The stove was delivered a week and a half later filthy I could not believe it. The prices are low! We picked up a fridge ($1500 new at lowes) for 450. It has a few scratches, but in good shape. When we inquired about buying a range/microwave, they said they could sell us one, but that for $40 more we could get a new one. They seem pretty honest! read more

I've had to deal with CJ's twice, as our landlord is responsible for maintaining the appliances in my house. Last year we received a used washer-drier from them and it needed servicing withing the first week of use. They had to come out twice more to repair it after that in the next two months. I recently received a fridge from them and again, it did not work properly (not cold enough). They came out and "fixed it" but it still does not work properly (same issue) and I am now waiting on their 2nd repair outing. I don't know if they test any of their products before selling them but we are not 0 for 2 on getting them to work properly. I give them an extra star because they are good about coming out and fixing what should already work from the beginning. My friend who is a landlord/realtor is in the midst of renovating a few homes that she has in the Baltimore, MD area. On a trip down to Baltimore she saw CJ's Appliances on 6304 Eastern Avenue and decided to stop in, she purchased a refrigerator and a stove. The refrigerator arrived and she plugged it in. Working with the contractors upstairs upon going back to the kitchen there was a leak from the refrigerator that ruined her laminated floors she had just put in. She immediately, called CJ's and the customer service representative was so defensive, the first thing that came out of his mouth was that we don't do refunds. Please note, initially she was not asking for a refund, but was hoping they would say they would send a repair person out. She asked what is she to do? The house is on the market and dates are set-up for potential buyers to come and view, the only assistance they could offer was for a repairman to come out 2-weeks later between the hours of 8pm-9pm. The stove was delivered this same day and was the most disgusting, filthy thing that you could imagine. I understand that it is used appliances, but CJ's should take some pride in the items they sell by at least cleaning them which they assured her they would. I would not recommend this place to my worst foe. I understand one may not have the money to purchase the refrigerator or stove of their liking at said time. I strongly suggest, it would be best to purchase a 4-burner hot plate, a toaster oven and a small fridge until you can get what you want. Otherwise you will be out of $500-$600 dollars and forget about getting a assistance or reprieve from CJ's their customer service is horrible. read more

Poor rating here. I bought a stainless steel 18 cu ft refrigerator 31x 29 x 61.5. I needed something samll to fit into a cubby area. The owner gave me "black friday pricing" on this model. It was to be delivered 4 days later, it never came. A week later on the next delivery date, they brought the wrong refrigerator. It was explained to me by the owner..what I thought I had purchased and what I did purchase were two different things. Also that I needed to consult my boyfriend who was with me to tell me what I had bought. When I spoke to him and explained the refrigerator, he remembered it and said they were unable to sell it to me, but they had already done so. No notice was given, they tried to convince me another refrigerator is what I had bought. Then adding insult to injury, telling me that I needed a guy to tell me the exact details of my purchase. I have dealt with Cj's Appliances since their inception 3 years ago. I stopped dealing with the previous business/owner CC BEST because their service and products were very poor. Many people confuse Cj's Appliances with CC BEST due to the location being the same. In 2014 a new owner rebranded and re staffed the business as Cj's Appliances and they have regained me as a customer ever since. I've bought products with them for my entire kitchen and recently bought appliances for my laundry room. I purchased a side by side black Kenmore refrigerator with an icemaker for $275 when they are going for $600 brand new, a stainless gas stove, five burner for $475 in great condition ($800 brand new) and a stainless dishwasher for $125. I had my kitchen set delivered the day after I purchased and the delivery guys were very professional. They do not hook up ice makers or dishwashers but my husband is familiar with installation so that was no problem for me. I have had my kitchen set for two years now with no problems. During their 2015 black Friday sale I bought a front load bosh washer and dryer matching set for only $400 ($1200 brand new) but decided to pick the units up rather than have them delivered so I could have them same day. We had a problem with the washer not letting out hot water .Cj's sent their technician to our house the next day (after i paid $65 for them to come out because my units were not delivered) and turns out my husband had connected the hoses backwards. Once they reconnected the unit I have not had a problem since. My main advice with this business is beware of false reviews. I was hesitant to go back after many reviews were bad but after going I was made aware that reviews were related to CC BEST. a problem unavoidable due to location. Ech time I have purchased my experience was great. I took the time to write this review because they have always went out of their way for me. I even recommended them to family members who haven't had problems either. Give them a chance, you won't regret it. I never did. read more
