John said he worked regularly with two carpenters on all his jobs, and that I would be responsible for paying them directly, by the hour. After mostly completing the job, he said he would send the carpenters to fix some carpenter ant damage, then return to touch up and replace the shutters. He billed me for most of the work, holding back a reasonably small amount due when the job would be finished. No carpenters showed. John said his "regular guys" were too busy. He said he had a friend that would "do him a favor" and step in. That carpenter gave me the runaround then stopped returning my calls/texts - as did John Raso. I tried to reach John AGAIN this spring, 2020, in a very non-confrontational manner. No response. I just hired someone to finish the job, at additional cost. I STRONGLY recommend not hiring Coastline Painting & Maintenance.

She kindly retrieved the paint can lid with all the details, and he called me back with the information! Who does that anymore? This level of kindness and effort is rare.
