Not sure when it opens to the public but I believe you do have to pay to enter. As you walk further down, you'll see a concession stand and another building with outside seating along with a hanging sign that says Westand Lions Club. And There's a pond area with a fountain in the middle. Lastly, there's a soccer field with a 2 lane track going around it - 1 lap is 0.5mi. It was a beautiful sight with yellow and orange shades along with greenery that was coming toward the end of season. It was a very refreshing walk as I was making my way to a nearby sushi restaurant. The breeze was a little cooler and the temperature was around 60 degrees. A beautiful autumn day.

It's located on the shores of Belleville lake. It features lakeside boardwalk, picnic pavilion and wonderful lake views. There is fishing pier and public docks to launch Canoes/kayaks. It's a very nice setting beside the lake with benches and picnic tables. It was nice relaxing to walk down to the fishing deck. There were only few people so we were able to walk around freely. The entrance we took, was right next to Turtle Cove, which was super convenient. There was plenty of parking and getting the tickets was a quick and easy process. It cost a little over $30 for the 4 of us. We were bummed the splash pad that is located inside TC was not working but still had a good time with the rest of the water park. There are two big slides (green- can use inflatable tube (single or double, blue- can't use a tube), a big lazy river, area for the little to swim, and a lot of seating. The pool and lazy river were not deep at all and there were plenty of lifeguards throughout the whole place. There are lockers after entering and wish I knew beforehand to bring change. The lockers I looked at required 2 quarters. If you're looking for a bit more than just a splash pad and a place where adults can also have fun in the water with your kiddos, this is a great place to come!

Appearently they don't know how to use their system but I showed the police our receipt and they appologized. I tried to go back to sleep and was awoken again @ 8am but this time by rocks hitting my camper. Giant industrial mowers are flying by children, pets, tents and vehicles, flinging rocks and waking everyone up. My cat was almost killed by some fool mowing at top speed. I saw the same thing happen with a family that had toddlers moments later. I paid $45 dollars to be harassed, woken up by mowers and chainsaws on my day off. This place is not worth it

There are lots of parking spots and plenty of area's to have a barbecue with the family and enjoy a day at the park. Give this park a chance and you'll be glad you did. The walking/biking path is excellent and nicely shaded due to all the old growth trees. The playground, splash pad, restrooms, and baseball/soccer fields appear to be well taken care of and I've never felt unsafe while running through. I'd give it five stars if Dearborn didn't get all rude and uptight about the way they run their parks.
