I currently work for City government and I know how stressful dealing with the public can be. This summer noticed a few fire hydrants in town that were painted with paw prints on them. I stopped to photograph one for a firefighter who collects hydrant photos and noticed they had ID numbers hand written on them. I thought how fun would it be to find the firefighter's badge number on a hydrant and photograph that for him. I began driving around looking for it which quickly became too time consuming. I stopped into City Hall with my strange request and story, attempting to locate hydrant #158. The ladies at the front were so very friendly dealing with me, and quickly difused an irate water citizen as well. They were unable to locate the hydrant and called a man named Brian in their public works division who they put on the phone with me. My story peaked his interest, he took my cell number down, and sure enough two days later after fit time in his day to day duties, he called me back. He'd discovered the original hydrant #158 was on Wamba Road, and they'd since been renumbering them with a metal tag, and that particular hydrant had been moved directly across the street from Les Schwab on the main drag into town. He wasn't sure if it still had the original stenciled ID on it, but said to call him back if not as he wasn't afraid to use his Sharpie! :) I commend you Prosser officials for having such quality personnel who go above and beyond for your tourists! Fearful they would jump the fence, I contacted Animal Control, and the most pleasant, knowledgeable Animal Control Officer came and picked them up. They greeted with open paws and away they went. The owner contacted me later and I redirected her to animal control. She confirmed they are escape artists. Great ending for all involved.

About a month passed by and we received our bill for November loath and behold we get a paper statement saying that our bill was overdue from the month of October which made no sense to us because how was it that my father was handed the paper receipt for that month (October) and we were being charged for 2 months? He went in to speak to the same employee that had taken the payment and given him the receipt for her to deny that'd the payment was ever made. My thing is ma'am if you gave him a receipt for that month's payment and he clearly made the payment why were you guys trying to charge us two months worth of payments? Was the money just put in systematically and not inside the till? Or what til this day we never got those $100 back and we strongly believe that City of Pasco screwed us over.
