Used to be able to call Sheriff Dept and give info they'd provide a temp overnight parking permit. Now they've automated with online application and I've spent 3 hours trying to obtain an overnight parking permit. It's not working due to software issues & there's no one to assist after business hours. I Called Cerritos Sheriff and they said if you get a ticket take it up with parking enforcement. You'd think in an emergency situation for parking the city would have a go to plan for it's citizens. Very Disappointed how insensitive the City of Cerritos has turned into when it comes to assisting it's citizens in emergency circumstances.

Her neighbor has about 3 pots that are busting at the seams in their respective pots...so she shares them with my auntie. She in turn would plant more & these orchids would bloom & have orchid children. She wanted to share them with me. I will be back next time because today I took two purple colored mint from her potted ones which I will repot & hopefully grow. I am a happy camper. Share the love & grow more plants. I will add it to my collection. So far I have rosemary & mint (from the the fmr mkt in Torrance) that I was able to grow roots from cuttings (from my walks around my neighborhood, along the sidewalk). Today is going to be EPIC!!!

Every time I took side streets passing by this city, it seemed very upscale to me yet I never hit traffic taking streets out to Long Beach passing through the 'City of Pico Rivera,' but I will stop for a couple biz here next time I'm not in a hurry. Was trying to beat traffic heading to my destination so didn't stop to support any local biz around this city.

I find myself looking forward to visiting every time I can because I always seem to find something to do while at Anaheim and feel as though I have endless choices for things to see, do, or experience. My number #1 reason for traveling to Anaheim is the Disneyland Resort. Both parks Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure provide me with such an amazing experience with all of their food, rides, and entertainment, creating so many wonderful memories! Disneyland is not the only attraction in Anaheim though! I also very much enjoy the Anaheim Packing District. This area has a wide variety of food offerings from several restaurants and vendors located within walking distance. It provides a great option when dining with friends, family, or simply trying a little taste of everything! Another major attraction in Anaheim is the Anaheim Convention Center. It hosts countless events, expos, and conferences annually and adds an incredible amount of energy to the surrounding areas, giving Anaheim the feel of being a central location for business and entertainment alike! Knott's Berry Farm, which is within a short driving distance from the convention center, is yet another exciting theme park choice if you want to branch out with activities on your vacation! I visited Knott's Berry Farm recently and so many changes have happened in the Theme park since I last visited over 10 years ago! There are plenty of fantastic restaurants in Anaheim that can be found all over the city! There is always a variety of good options whether you're picking something fast and easy close to the amusement parks or having a sit down meal. Anaheim is a place with a few different things going on from amusement parks, food, events and a fantastic downtown area, which is part of the reason I continue to come back while visiting from Las Vegas!

Downtown Covina has seen some minor improvements over the last six months…read more Nearly every storefront is now occupied, with more businesses opening soon. This area is popular, especially in the evenings, with many restaurants, bars, a billiards hall, a comedy club, and more. Friday nights also feature the Farmer's Market at Heritage Park on the north end of the area. Parking is available on the street and behind all the businesses.

City of Covina is not the same as City of West Covina. They are two different cities. West Covina…read moreis essentially a separate community that was incorporated to prevent Covina from building a sewage farm within its boundaries. Covina is more north of Fwy 10 where West Covina is more south of Fwy 10. There are many fun things to do in Covina such as entertaining live music at the Covina Bowl or exploring outdoor activities like biking & hiking trails. For the regular shoppers, you can explore local stores in the historic downtown area or find something unique at one of the fun malls or big box stores. Covina also has plenty of great restaurants offering delicious international cuisine plus entertainment centers with movie theaters, laser tag arenas and bowling alleys. Funny, I've always been curious between Covina and West Covina. Due to this review, I am more educated about these two cities.

It has a few blocks of touristy around the pier; a 2 mile long strand filled with walkers, bikers, and skaters; super clean beach; wonderful restaurants and bars; and a great public school system. Things to do: 4/5 Safety: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 GEOGRAPHY -- East of the 405 fwy, Hermosa Beach to the South, El Segundo to the North. The West, well, the ocean. Beach/strand, for sure, but don't forget that Manhattan Beach also spans wide to include Sepulveda Blvd (lots of regular shopping and restaurants, car dealerships, hotels). VB / SURFING -- Volleyball reigns here, followed by Surfing. For VB, the Manhattan Beach Open (August each year), and Surfing, while there isn't a big competition, there are places and times where it is a site to see. COMMUNITY EVENTS -- My fav is held in the summer each year, Summer Nights at Polliwog Park. A small lake, open-air concerts, picnic baskets, great weather. The Hometown Fair at Live Oak Park in downtown Manhattan Beach. The fair includes live music, plenty of food and drink, games and booths to raise funds for local causes. RESTAURANTS -- Lots of choices! My 3 favories: Fishing with Dynamite, Manhattan Beach Post, and Little Sister. Followed by Tin Roof Bistro, and Fusion Sushi. HOTELS -- There could/should be more. I've stayed at the Shade (my favorite), Belamar (boutique/nice), and Marriott (huge/typical). Also special mentioned: Beach House, Sea View, and westdrift. EMPLOYERS -- There are no major ones in the area, but the the top are (employees): Target (405), Skechers (362), Macy's (271), Fry's Electronics, Marriott (208), and the growing Manhattan Beach Studios (202).

Our kids go to school together, they play together, they know each other and the parents know each other. I like how our communities are and how people look out for each others safety. Not all cities are like that. I feel very blessed to have been able to grow up in this city. The recreation center and splash aquatics center that they have built are really nice and I like how there are different classes that both our kids and the adults can take at different times of the day.

Public Art Sculpture of The Culver Family…read more Harry Hazel Culver was the founder of Culver City. This sculpture is in honor of him. It is located in the Town Plaza where The Lion's Fountain is and just outside of The Culver Hotel. This is in a public area, open 24/7 and it's free. You just need to find parking, which may not be free. This sculpture is pretty much in the same area as The Culver Steps. This art was commissioned by the City of Culver City. It is a bronze sculpture of Harry Culver sitting on a bench perusing a newspaper dated September 20, 1917. Harry is the founder of Culver City and the paper announces the incorporation of this new city by the State of California. His wife, Lillian, is holding their daughter Patricia. Lillian is looking at the paper over Harry's shoulder. Fun Fact: The newspaper is a copper replica of the real one! His 1913 Speech is on the inside of his newspaper. The sculptor is De L'Esprie (Delesprie), Sculpture is cast by David Spellerberg at Great American Bronze Works, Inc. foundry. This artwork is part of the city's "Art in Public Places" program. It was placed here in 2006 when Culver City was 88 years old! You can come take a seat on the bench next to Mr. Culver any time!
