Their social media is incredible, their mid century modern offerings are timeless and beautiful, and the team here is so helpful. They have a huge assortment of bar accessories, couches, hutches, coffee tables, end tables, and SO much more. They are most active on Instagram and have a hilarious presence. They show off what hot items are in the store and prices for each. They even allow order on Instagram and will hold things for limited amounts of time if you see something you really need or want. I loved their old location in the Wedge, but this new location on Clinton is larger and allows for more goodies to be brought in more frequently. As we settle in to work from home life and you're looking to spruce up your space, shop local and head to Abode!

Beautiful towels for hostess gifts ( not everyone wants wine when your invited for dinner ) along with candles and singing carolers that people like to collect. I bought something that I am excited about. A new Christmas tree! I am down sizing ( more like de-cluttering ha) & no loner want the big tree with all that entails. I found a tree that is advertised as a flat tree. This one is 3 ft. tall and has a back ( unlike the no back tree) & front both with shorter branches giving the illusion that it is a full tree. It is already lite too. You can see me smiling, right? I can still have my tree without all the work. One regret: I do not have a picture of this tree decorated but I hope your curiosity will get the better of you & you will check this unique shop out. If you don't get a gift or two, you will certainly be in the mood for the holidays w/ all the beautifully decorated trees. Happy shopping everyone.

It's similar to those stores but entirely home goods, as the name suggests. The store is huge and has everything from furniture to decor to seasonal items. I had fun looking through the shelves, but my only complaint is that the shelves aren't entirely organized. The store is organized by section (kitchen, office, living room, etc), but the shelves within each section kind of just have a bunch of items on them for you to sift through. This could be a plus or minus, depending on what you're looking for from a shopping experience. I think I could find a lot of good decorations here and will return whenever I want to spruce up my apartment!

Avoid Guardsman Furniture Protection Plans offered at Ethan Allen - A Frustrating and Disappointing…read moreExperience. I purchased a leather Melrose couch from Ethan Allen in Rochester, NY, for around $3,300, and added the $299 Guardsman Premier Gold Complete Service Plan, thinking it would provide peace of mind. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had. After submitting a warranty claim, I waited six months without a response. When Guardsman finally acted, they sent a technician from New Jersey (to upstate New York!) who looked at the couch but said she didn't have enough time to complete the repair. And then? Nothing. No follow-up. No resolution. Just silence. Years later, the owner of the Ethan Allen store accused me of being a "problem customer" and casually mentioned that Guardsman had denied the claim. That's hard to believe, considering they sent someone out to fix it, which wouldn't have happened if the claim had actually been denied upfront. I contacted Ethan Allen's corporate office and received a polite but ineffective response--no real accountability from either company. Bottom line: Guardsman appears to offer a comprehensive coverage plan, but in practice, they seem to look for any excuse or loophole to avoid fulfilling it. The customer service is slow, unresponsive, and ultimately unhelpful. The owner of the local Ethan Allen franchise finally replaced the cushion, but unfortunately, the dye lot was significantly different from the other cushions, rendering the couch unusable. If you're shopping at Ethan Allen--or anywhere else that offers Guardsman protection--I strongly recommend you think twice before spending extra on their coverage. It's not worth the hassle.

I came across Steve's website, reviewed his work and his reviews, and decided to give him a try. Let me tell you...I was NOT disappointed! From our initial communication to the quote, drop-off, pick-up, and invoicing, everything went as smoothly as silk. Steve is an excellent communicator and even sent me a couple of pictures along the way so I could see the progress. He also went the extra mile and was able to tighten the table up a bit, making it considerably less wobbly. The finished table looks absolutely beautiful, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Without question, I would use Steve again and will happily recommend him to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship. It's not often you find someone who combines skill, attention to detail, and excellent customer service--and Steve checks all three boxes!

Gino and his staff at all of their stores are super friendly and very helpful with none of the commission pressure of the other mattress chains in town where they try to hold you hostage if you don't buy a mattress on that visit. Those other stores make buying a used car feel like a breeze. Anyway there is none of that nonsense at Sleep City. The experience was actually relaxing which it should be when you need to test the mattresses for a good while. Their selection is limited to one brand which some might find limiting but I have to say it makes a difficult decision making process easier. The delivery, bed set-up, and other customer service were all well done. A quality operation.
