From start to finish the experience at City Kia was horrendous, if I could give it 0 stars I feel that would be too generous. Jay in the service department is incredibly rude and not only was abrasive but made some very offensive comments. As someone who has not only worked in the service industry but also have visited car dealerships in many countries and places I am appalled at how bad the service was at this location. German comes to me and says my fog light bulbs are out, and they can replace them. I mentioned that the base trim model didn't come with fog lights. Also need a cabin filter, which I just replaced 5 months prior, which I also declined. So, installing 2 LED bulbs, labor book said 20 minutes each, cost me $210+MISC charges $21.10 for a grand total of $247.14! read more

When I picked it up, it didn't fit -- and they never mentioned that accessories are final sale, so I couldn't get a refund. They reordered it, and it didn't fit again. Took my mom car in to check engine light (gives codes), about 3wks ago and it had to be returned about 3x for a diagnosis they couldn't determine. Instead of admitting they didn't know what they were doing they stalled, misled the customer of their progress, and blame other Kia dealership for past work history all while refusing to provide a loaner vehicle in meantime. Additionally, if you wish to verbally contact your service advisor or manager about repair status, expect to be interviewed by front desk for your reason and placed on extended hold to be told they'll (maybe) callback. The Service Mgr Mike lied and stated he would accommodate and give us a callback but when I arrived in person he was gone for the day. This was last strike! The inconvenience of this unsatisfied experience led to having to get it towed to a Kia Dealership in another city that fixed within a day. If you value your time, I strongly recommend not leaving your vehicle here for service even with an appointment. When I dropped mine off, I was told I would receive updates, but I ended up having to call every couple of hours myself just to find out what was going on. I also advise against using the payment link they text for convenience. I paid before seeing my vehicle in person, and when the service was not even started, I was told they would not issue a refund. Because I could not stay while they tried to figure out what happen, I was without my vehicle for several additional days due to the service department being closed the following day and having to work the day after. Communication from management was extremely disappointing. Despite calling every other day and repeatedly requesting a callback from a manager, I did not receive one for over a week. When someone finally reached out, the only resolution offered was a reminder that they "threw in a windshield wiper" and a small account credit, which is not helpful when I have no intention of returning to this service department. read more

Outstanding customer service! My daughter's 2017 Kia Sorento broke down on the 528 and had to be towed-in to City Kia. The truck has approx. 137K on it and it has been a money pit. When she called me, my heart sank. we bought the truck in Dec. 2024, and have put nearly $5,000, into it just to keep it running. So, I was a little unhappy at this point. A few hours later, I received a telephone call from Daniel Landeiro, a service advisor from City Kia. He advised that the truck was exhibiting issues related to the Knock Sensor Detection System, a known issue with certain Kia models, but it would need to be fully diagnosed and he said he would call me the next day. I told my wife that this was it. The truck would not be found to be within the KSDS mileage/timeframe. I was pleasantly pleased (OK, really, really pleased) to hear from Daniel the next morning advising me that the issue was fully covered by Kia and that a new engine would be ordered. I just needed to send our maintenance records to him to verify that we had kept up on oil changes. We sent everything over and Daniel submitted everything to Kia. IMHO, Daniel really went to bat for us, his customer. Yes, there were some additional costs, but not as much as a new engine. We were offered a loaner vehicle, but declined as it was not needed by us. It would have been a nicety rather than a necessity. Daniel kept me informed over the next several days and my daughter was able to pick it up 11 days later, fully repaired. I'd like to thank Daniel for his amazing customer service, the technician(s) that worked on my daughter's truck, and the entire team at City Kia, in general, for making us feel so welcome. Daniel is a true professional and I appreciated his responsiveness, especially as we were not his only customers. We found a vehicle on Autotrader. It was listed at a price and we understood that to be the asking price. When we got the final quote, it was $3800 more than expected. They explained to us that the extra fees, (City care $2,995 + Recon fee $800) are not negotiable and are "part of the price." The problem is that they were not listed on the Autotrader ad. The dealer showed a disclaimer on their site as proof that they were "transparent" and then blamed auto trader, telling me to "complain to them". The sales rep I was texting with was rude, and said they'd, "respect me more if I just said that I don't want to pay what it's worth". Actually, I'd respect them more if they'd just promote it at the real price that it's worth. The rep even, "corrected" my grammar by writing "*ladder" when I said I'd prefer the "latter". (I was correct of course). We don't want these unnecessary extra charges and it's very misleading to require them but not advertise them in the price. As for the disclaimer on your site, we are buying from out of state so we didn't even go to your site before we contacted you via Autotrader. I'm including a screenshot of the ad here. UPDATE: I was then guilted by the service department for my review. They're apparently putting all blame on Keith, despite the part where I said he was the only good part of my service. They have HOUNDED me since this review, despite not caring about any of my complaints before. I also recently received an invoice with my name, address, and phone number for vague "services performed" but the credit card number was not my own. City Kia asked when I could come and get my car. I did not get additional service nor was my car at the shop. I responded immediately to confirm what this was as I hadn't visited in a month, and the person I spoke to was stumped. She said she'd call me back to confirm what I was allegedly being charged for over a month after my appointment, and I never heard from them again. I've tried calling, texting, everything. Pulled in to city kia I did not get AG; I believe I have Donald as my technician guy working on my car. He spoke to me like I was stupid which is very rude; granted I don't know that much about cars however He kept trying to tell me to buy four tires like five times and I told him that's not in the budget we're not doing that. I also mentioned an oil change isn't in budget either I'll bring it in next week. He told me it'll take a couple hours so hopefully it's not later than 12. Since I brought it in at 7:30. We always addressed any maintenance issues immediately and both cars were great. Since 2024 ownership change, they give you a laundry list of things that "need immediate attention" and fail to look at the history to see that it's already been done. When questioned, blank stares. They also try to push new car sales instead of addressing concerns or answering questions. We paid them to test something and they never tested it and couldn't explain why and didn't reverse the charge since the test was not run. The mgrs are aware and don't care and instead of trying to resolve anything or actually listened, tried to push us into buying another car. We will NEVER go to this dealership again. City Kia: Misleading Pricing and Public Humiliation I came to City Kia as a returning customer, ready to purchase my second vehicle because of a previously great experience. This time, I was helped by a salesperson named Williams Alvarez, who was professional and respectful. Unfortunately, everything changed the moment Leopoldo Hernandez, the deal closer, got involved. After asking why the online price was significantly lower than what we were being offered in person, Leopoldo approached us in a shockingly unprofessional manner. He claimed we had made the salesperson cry -- simply for questioning pricing. Then he admitted the lower online price was only available if we agreed to buy a Kia Care package, which added the cost right back in. So in reality, the online price is deceptive -- a bait-and-switch tactic to lure customers into the dealership under false pretenses. When we challenged that, instead of explaining or de-escalating, Leopoldo escalated the situation. He arrogantly told us he didn't need our business because he was "number one," and then loudly told us to leave the dealership. This happened in front of multiple staff members -- some of whom laughed at us as we were being kicked out. It was humiliating, completely uncalled for, and honestly one of the most unprofessional encounters I've ever had. I walked in ready to make a purchase. I walked out shocked, embarrassed, and completely turned off from ever doing business with City Kia again. No customer -- let alone a returning one -- deserves to be treated like this. Yesterday my 2022 Kia Sorrento, (2022) (26,000 miles) which was a lease and is still under warranty had mechanical issues with the engine. It was unsafe to drive, this was around 9 AM. I called City Kia around 9:30 10 o'clock-am for someone to come pick up my vehicle so it can be towed to their service department. Since then I have spoken to 5 Kia agents which all had my name wrong, After I corrected them three times, we actually made a joke about it and I said I just said I want to make sure you have my name right so when I come pick up the vehicle there's no issues, so we laughed about that. They put a request for my vehicle to be picked up and It said that it should be picked up within 100 minutes to 130 minutes, a few hours later Kia sent me a text saying did your vehicle get picked up? I said no, Kia called me, They said they're gonna reassign to be picked up and to wait a little bit, they gave me the new contact to the new company that was supposed to come pick up the car so I waited, after waiting a few hours I get a response saying that they're no longer gonna come pick up the vehicle. Kia called me again, they reassigned it again for another company to come pick up. Long story short this happened five times I spoke to 4 different agents and they still could not get it right. I am now still waiting for someone to arrive which they were supposed to arrive last night around 8:30 9 o'clock 10/10/24 and he never showed, if this is the way Kia service does business I am absolutely done with Kia. I would never buy another Kia after this experience. I have owned over 30 vehicles and I have never ever had this such bad of experience with the service department, they are the absolute worst. They're good if you need a car to buy, they'll work with you, but anything after that, good luck. read more

He was so kind and accommodating and quick to respond. Myles was so easy to work with and even without meeting him we felt so comfortable with the transaction Once our desired model came in, we made an appointment. Sadly Myles wasn't there that day but we worked with an OUTSTANDING persons named Jaime Baca. By all means, when considering a Kia, most definitely ask to work with one of these guys. They work together, we were told, and you will be so Happy to have the privilege of doing business with either or both of them As you know, it can take hours before you are able to drive the vehicle off the lot Jaime was diligent about checking in on us and letting us know what was happening to make sure we were aware of where we were in the process The way we were treated by Jaime (and Eric in fincance), we would have been ok waiting an entire day and night. We were well cared for, we shared laughs, and we were treated with so much care and respect. And when I say City Kia GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND, it is no exaggeration. City Kia Service: NOT GOOD AT ALL!. Dropped my car on Tue Jun25th for 8,000 miles service and a check on a noise/vibration which had come up a couple of days before. Today is July 8th and still do not know when will I get my car back or when will I get a temporary replacement. During these 14 days I have heard all kind of stories, from their "system had been down and delayed inputting your info", to "we have to request the manufacturer to send the replacement part'', going through lies like "your car is here" or "your car is at another of our location", and -of course- the traditional "give me 5 minutes and I'll solve your situation". This is such a center of inept and unprepared "professionals" that it has been difficult for me to run into a capable person (I assume there must be someone capable, after all). At this stage, I am going back there for the fourth time, each with my proven patience being reduced, willing to bet I will run into different people to attend my case and probably and coming out with the same result of the last two weeks. If you own a KIA, I strongly suggest to try servicing at a real professional center, even if it is not KIA. If you are considering buying one, these guys are very effective at selling it to you, but don't fall for aftermath traps. read more

Well, this place only gets worse! Made a reservation to get the complimentary oil change in aforementioned car - for which I've already massively overpaid due to their lack of honesty. Had an appointment today for 10am. Pull in and they tell me it is a 2.5 hour wait. Why make an appointment at all? How long does the oil change take? I've owned many new cars and had the dealer service each one. I have NEVER had to wait more than 45 minutes for an oil change. Also, when I got out of the car, there were about 20 guys on either side of the lane doing nothing. The one person who was assigned wasn't to be found, so rather than being helped. I waited for what is presumably the only guy who was doing work. Ultimately, I requested them to give me the car back. I just took it to Valvoline, pay for the oil change, and they actually care about their customer and their customers time. I'll bought a car from City Kia last year - the entire purchasing experience was lovely, my salesman was great, etc. When we purchased the car they went out of their way to tell us all about the warranty they were giving us and how "everything" was covered. Fast forward to last weekend, I brought my car in for a regularly scheduled oil change. After being there for 5 hours (after being told it would take 2.5 hours - but I get it, thanks happen) they informed me I needed a new battery. I declined the service at the time since I'd been there so long but planned on getting it taken care of. As luck would have it, my battery died this week. My husband called to have an appointment made. At this time we double checked that this was "included" in our warranty. They asked for our VIN, when we purchased the car, and how many miles were on the car. After all those questions were answered, they confirmed that the battery would be covered. So imagine my surprise when I get an email letting me know they've done their diagnostics and we need a new battery and it will cost $311. We got on the phone and had the unpleasant experience of speaking to Mike who is apparently a manager in the service department. He was rude and nonchalant about the entire situation. I then spoke to another manager who offered me a "deal" of replacing the battery for $290. I declined the service for obvious reasons and my husband and I took and Uber to the dealership to pick up my car. There we spoke to Joe Manno - who was absolutely lovely. He is the only person we talked to in this situation that actually seemed to care and he's also the only person who apologized for the miscommunication. He was nice enough to bring out the Operations Director, Preston. I wish I could say that Preston was helpful or helpful even friendly but he wasn't. He came over and has a condescending attitude and again, failed to apologize. Keep in mind, I made it very clear when I spoke with Joe that I wasn't looking for any free services, didn't expect them to provide a free battery, etc. I just wanted to address the customer service aspect and for Preston to not even offer an apology is honestly outrageous and horrible customer service. Apparently the miscommunication happened when my husband called the schedule the appointment. Since we bought our car used, the warranty that convered the battery expired this summer. I understand that it things happen, I'm not upset with the representative who made the appointment, they just forgot to ask if the car was purchased new or used. I am upset with how this whole thing was handled, however. Aside from Joe, every person we spoke to was completely unbothered by the whole situation. And when Preston condescendingly tried to blame my husband and I for not knowing the warranty only applied to when the car was first bought new, he couldn't answer my question about if it was my fault that his staff couldn't figure out that a 2021 vehicle wasn't purchased new in 2023. I really can't stress enough that we weren't asking for anything. Mistakes happen, we are humans and we understand. But I did expect an apology since the miscommunication came from their end. Overall, a really frustrating and frankly disappointing experience with every member of management we interacted with (except Joe!) 2 stars, one for Joe and one for the other staff members who are always friendly. read more

I purchased a used vehicle at City Kia and was told that my purchased cover 2 years free maintenance. That's NOT true!!!! When I purchased the vehicle they LIED! The 2 year maintenance free is really 2 oil changes. I found out on my 1st oil change. I won't even bring on the 2nd oil change. This dealer deceives customers. Terrible so called VIP experience. Two new cars i was interested in were shown to me disgustingly dirty. I was ready to buy the car outright they made this very simple process very uneasy and difficult. I was left sitting at 2 different tables for no reason for a long time by myself. They didn't want to sell the car obviously because they offered me sticker price which nobody pays. The dealership i found out has several bad service reviews and a complaint on the BBB. I looked this up as i was waiting patiently for a long time which should of been a simple deal. So after i left i texted back the sales rep which "never responded to me". I guess this is their VIP service. So fast forward today almost 24 hours later still no follow up. Terrible customer service i guess after all the bad reviews i read its best to look elsewhere anyways. Be aware no VIP service here. read more
