Disgusting alphabet mafia staff. They openly show their disdain for straight men. After waiting 20 minutes for the drink I paid for, they were as slow as possible, huddled several times and looked over their shoulders at me. By the time I finally got the drink, they had made several other drinks for door dashers and hassled them and called them thieves. When I finally got my drink, it went straight into the garbage bin. City Brew quickly took my business in Casper. I'm not a huge fan of the overly-robust Starbucks flavor. And I finally found a place that carries all the good syrups! I was always shocked at the ceremony taken by Starbucks to avoid certain flavors and kinds of drinks. .. really. You won us over at "White Chocolate Peanut butter Breve", "Self-serve French-press" and "Strawberry Italian Creme Soda with sprinkles". My husband was able to spend a lot of time here during a long difficult transition in life and find a peaceful environment, good service and great coffee! Good job. read more

Came here to grab a coffee on my way out of town. The employees behind the counter were friendly and welcoming. The coffee was prepared quickly and was tasty. When entering, however, I literally had to doubletake to make sure I didn't just walk into a Starbucks. City Brew is a blatant clone of Starbucks from the color scheme, to the fonts used, the uniforms, etc. If it wasn't for the name of the front, you would not be able to tell the difference. This is a shame since I do try to hit more locally owned coffee shops when I travel and try to avoid Starbucks when possible. To me, this is Starbucks. If you are looking or something other than Starbucks try Metro Coffee Company or one of the others in Casper that have their own identity and didn't just shamelessly copy Starbucks. read more

Stopped in to check it out before catching a movie next door. Everything about the place kept reminding me of Starbucks. While I was standing there looking around, all I could see was everything I can get at Starbucks. The logo is a similar shade of green. They are promoting pictures of pumpkin lattes everywhere. They have a reward program that looks and acts exactly like Starbucks. Seriously, if you are a regular Starbucks customer, this place makes it feel similar to say cheating on your girlfriend only to find out that the grass is not greener on that other side of the fence. If you order more than one item, expect your order to be wrong. Every. Single. Time. Wrong price, wrong coffee/food, un-cooked food, etc. Then expect to be given rude attitude at the drive-thru window as if you're an inconvenience. Never trust the statement, "I'll have your total at the window." It means the person who took your order tried to memorize it and is a 100% guarantee that it will not be correct. I've never witnessed a group of more incompetent employees which appears to be the result of a constant revolving door and lack of any training. The typical place with women pulling into the driveway with way over-sized SUV's and nearly crashing into your truck kind joint. Cozy, much nicer environment than the shabby confines of Starbucks just down the hill. Coffee is mid-level, lacks a little bit of the robust taste I prefer. Food- Very pedestrian choices, weak bakery selection, and no salsa for their breakfast burritos pretty much sums it up. Service-they are friendly for the most part and eager, just a little disconnected. The exception is the drive through window. It seems the drive-thru person is angry or too busy to take care of the orders. It's a waste of time.I once honked to get someone's attention when I pulled up to drive-thru speaker and nothing for 10 minutes, even though the parking lot was empty. When I finally got her attention she mad dogged me at the counter window LOL. read more

Nice place. Their Huckleberry Green Tea frappacino is delightful on a warm day. The place is relaxed and roomier than Starbucks in town. And a nice before or after movie treat. Definitely will make this a regular drive through visit. read more

This is the place for me! Every time I drive up the parking lot is FULL yet there is always ample choices of seating upon entering. I have never had to wait long and have decided this is my new hang out! I sit with friends two or three times a month and just gel. The coffee is good. The staff is super friendly - I love the greeting upon entering and the good-bye or thank you when I leave. It is a warm, inviting atmosphere and I have found a moment or two to sit and work - and just BE. I still enjoy the competition's coffee and store, yet I do not find myself "missing" the atmosphere like I do City Brew's. If I haven't been there in awhile it's a feeling of not having been "home" for a long time. I would recommend City Brew over any other place in town. I can hear the conversation between my friends and me - and not the stories of those around me. read more

I've been there twice in the last two weeks, and while the staff was friendly and I really enjoyed my green tea, I couldn't help but notice how dirty it was. The tables weren't wiped off, the garbage cans were full, the carpet needed vacuuming, and the upholstered chairs were dirty. Meanwhile, the staff was just standing around doing nothing - it wasn't busy. So why weren't they cleaning?? It will probably be a while before I go back there. read more

It's okay. They over-brew their coffee (like Starbucks) so the brew is stupid-strong. I do think their pastries are better tasting and better priced for what you receive. They also have a day-old section so you can afford the treat on occasion even if you don't usually splurge. The biggest problem we have with City Brew is that their service is terribly slow. Sometimes they offer to bring your order to you, sometimes they don't so you hang around not knowing. The seating is wonderful, all of the chairs are comfortable and there are several areas to sit so you never feel crowded even when there are large groups occupying an entire section of the building. They have great study cubicles if you are there for work or school- a definite plus. Local newspapers are provided free of charge to use in house which is nice if you like to read otherwise, there's a television with news casting near the fireplace and sofas. On several occasions, we have ordered brewed decaf and they don't have any, so we end up forced to pay for a decaf Americano...kind of disappointing. Also, if you get your coffee in a mug and want a to-go cup, it's an extra $.25- not a big deal. And, we learned that if you want steamed breve, they charge extra but half-and-half is free to pour at your disposal inside the store. Doesn't make sense. Overall, nice to have a different option over Starbucks...super friendly staff. read more
