    When I first broke down on the side of I-35 and right at 6:35 I called around and I contacted…read moreChavez towing they recommended Munoz transmission when I got it to Momo's transmission they paid the bill and they promised me the vehicle would be ready for next day well the next day came and they hadn't even had the transmission pulled yet they told me this I went and rented a Toyota Highlander thinking it was only going to be a day that day turned into over a week and the transmission that I paid $1,800 for on the spot when I got there took over a month if not longer and three trips back before the transmission was right whoever did it this time did it right but whoever put the transmission in didn't get a damn about their quality of work because they stripped out the bolts that hold the crossmember plate that holds the rear transmission up well it almost fell completely out going down the road because they stripped out the bolts using an impact and the two on the passenger side completely fill out where it was kicking sideways and almost ruined the transmission that took almost a month and a half for him to get right and not counting how much money I lost they told me I will pay a few of your days for your rental fee when they found out that it was over $800 they had a cow so no we're not paying that the first receipt I got said totally rebuilt transmission and new torque converter it lasted less than a week I took it back they kept it another week I can get it back it lasted less than a day I took it back this time I was stranded again no vehicle but that wasn't their problem and in fact I called them with no one would ever answer my call they kept avoiding my call my son had to go up cuz he worked around the corner with his boss just to get the guy to acknowledge that it was his problem then they paid for a tow truck to come and get my vehicle which was in Mesquite I know where to go anyway and they kept it for almost a month this time at least right at 3 weeks before I got my vehicle back they broke me I lost three good jobs where I had good money coming in I out probably about $8,000 in just money lost on vehicle that I had to rent and borrow from other people insurance that I paid for vehicle that I didn't even get to drive not counting all the hours that day you know wondering what was up I was thinking that they were possibly using my vehicle to drive it back and forth cuz now it runs good drives great but now the speedometer quits working all the time and I'm afraid to take it back to them I don't know if this review is going to do any good but whoever reads this beware they may have a good transmission rebuilder and knows his stuff but watch out for the people that put it in they do not care about anything half of my heat shields underneath my vehicle or missing when I took it in the first time they promised that it would be inside I got it back one of my bass speakers in my system was blown apparently they were paired with my system and blew it I got it back a second time big sombrero was missing. Well I finally got it back the last time they gave me a new warranty but they played stupid at first I told the managers his where's my paperwork showing that my warranty and everything miserable you got one when you first paid for it I know I was told that I get a new warranty since you guys took so long and the mileage is going to be extended out finally they got like another one a new print out print out but with the kind of work that they have done so far it's basically a piece of paper with words on it that means absolutely nothing to me because I take it back and I'm going to have the same problem again they said they spent more money on the transmission than they charged me that's not my problem they should have known Nissan Pathfinder transmissions can be a pain in the behind sometimes and that 1800 bucks just doesn't cover all Transmission's overall as far as people they're good people but I think they bit off more than they can chew and instead of being straight honest with me and telling me the truth they treated me like I was stupid acted as if I had knew nothing about a vehicle and kept me in the blind entire time time my word to the next person avoid Munoz transmissions if you're looking for a place to get you transmission repaired and you want a Nissan cuz that's my experience yours might be different.

Scared…read moreshe'd breakdown on the way into work, she asked Driver's Edge in Irving, Texas to diagnose the sound. Driver's Edge put together a comprehensive inspection report listing items that required immediate attention and items that were more recommendations. The quote was fairly pricey for the "required" items so she asked me to take a look. I called Trey at Driver's Edge and focused more on the "required" items walking through each item that he suggested required immediate attention. I agreed with him on suspension issues and alignment but questioned the severity of the valve cover leak and the urgency of replacing the rear deck brake light. Trey made it a point to say that the replacement brake light itself was only $7 but the labor to replace the bulb was fairly extensive and was expected to take about 2 hours for the bulb replacement alone. Being busy myself and just wanting to ensure my daughter was safe driving the car, I agreed to all "required" service items which totaled about $3300 in repairs. My daughter's car was done same day and while she was driving home I looked up how difficult it was to replace the brake light. Surprisingly enough, a YouTube video revealed that replacement of the bulb was extremely simple and only took a few moments. I texted Trey to voice my concern that he mislead me and it's been radio silence (after a few attempts of me reaching out). Now I'm questioning whether any of the other services he suggested were really needed. If you value honesty and integrity in car repairs, this place is not for you. If they flat out lie about a brake light replacement, what else are they misleading people about? Here's the YouTube video....does this look like it's 2 hours of labor?     long story short, this place is a scam. Last week, I dropped off my car for an inspection. After…read more1-2 hours, they claimed that there were multitude of problems that would cause serious damages and potentially cause "the car to catch on fire". The mechanics were very insistent that I need to stay and fix these issues. They quoted me more than $3000 for the parts and labor cost. Being sceptical, I checked my car camera footage, and saw that the mechanics spent 6-7 minutes looking around the front hood, and then proceeded to chat in the back for the rest of the 1.5 hours. P.S. I went to another auto shop for inspection after. They told me there weren't any issues and that there were just faulty readings on the car sensor.

    On October 23, 2018, we took our 2000 Jaguar XJR to T&K Automotive and Transmission Specialists…read more Our car was having difficulty shifting into the forward gears such as Drive, 1, 2, 3, etc. T&K offered a diagnostic inspection of all parts outside of the transmission for $69.95. After the inspection we were told the problem was with the transmission, not the shifting-related parts outside of the transmission. They replaced the transmission and we paid them another $2000, but the problem was not solved. The car was still difficult to shift. They again inspected the area outside the transmission (basically inspected the same area as they did the first time), and found a rusted "SHIFTING CABLE". Replacing the "SHIFTING CABLE" ($100 part we had to purchase since T&K couldn't find one) fixed the shifting problem. It turns out that the transmission was fine and did not require repair or replacement. Of course, we felt we should be refunded $2000 for the unnecessary replacement of the transmission. The owner was belligerent and said the transmission was part of the problem. Obviously it was not, since the "SHIFTING CABLE"replacement solved the shifting problem! We spoke with several transmission repair shops, including Jaguar, and were told that the "SHIFTING CABLE" would have been the first thing they would have checked for a shifting problem, not the transmission. We sincerely believe T&K was either incompetent or trying to gouge us. We are writing this review to hopefully spare other unsuspecting people the pain of dealing with similar problems where T&K Automotive and Transmission Specialists is concerned
