My Rockland Trust debit card information was stolen and used by someone in another state to make a…read morepurchase of nearly $1,000.00 I was sent a text message from Rockland Trust on that day asking me if I made this purchase, to which I replied "NO", and the card was subsequently frozen and my account was given a provisional credit for that $1,000.00 fraudulent purchase. Fast forward 3 months later, and the provisional credit I had been given was then RESCINDED by Rockland Trust, and I was told they had been given "proof" by the merchant where the fraudulent transaction occurred that it was not fraudulent, despite the fact that the bank itself CONTACTED me that day when the purchase was made as they suspected it to be fraudulent. Now Rockland Trust is telling me there is "nothing more we can do", despite having already being able to provide me a credit for the fraudulent purchase that they TOLD me about the moment it happened. I will very likely be taking my business elsewhere entirely and never banking here again because of this complete failure, on Rockland Trust's part, to protect me and my financial security despite every indication and piece of evidence they had to do so.

You can't add your card to your apple wallet, you can scan a check into the app. It's all so outdated. My account went overdrawn while working to change things over to a new bank and they charge you for the fees...makes sense. One day I checked and they charged me 6 times at once. So I call and I tell the very rude lady on the phone that I'm taking care of it and I have already switched the bill to my new account. I'm not sure why they keep trying to take it out of this account but in the meantime could you help me stop these fees from coming out. She said no as quick and rude as possible. I had received an E-Check from Deluxe E-Checks and printed it out with the intention to deposit it…read moreat this Bank of America branch. In the past, this was my go-to-branch regarding most transactions, since they are open later than most other branches. Once I arrived at the bank, I approached the teller asking if I coulddeposit my E-Check. The teller was very friendly and professional. He told me that he was unsure if he could deposit the check since he had never seen an E-Check like this before. He then grabbed his manager asking if they could deposit the check -- she too was unsure. She asked the supervisor who then said he would call the number provided by Deluxe E-Checks (which was printed below the check I had brought) to verify. The supervisor acknowledged that they work with Deluxe but followed up saying that he was confident that they don't accept "checks like these." However, both the supervisor and manager didn't call the number and refused to verify the check. Although they were professional about the situation by providing me alternative ways to deposit my check, the fact they did not call the number to verify the check for me is unsatisfactory and disappointing. After asking numerous times if they could visit the website to verify the authenticity of the check or even call the number provided for to verify the check, they refused to do so due to the fact they were "not comfortable." I later called Deluxe E-Checks regarding this situation (as I was unsure as to why I was unable to deposit my check) and the representative said that Bank Of America is a bank that they are partnered and work with. Therefore, they should've known that my check was authentic. Even if they were suspicious about the check potentially being fraudulent, they should've felt comfortable verifying the check through Deluxe's verification website or through a representative. None-the-less, I will be avoiding visiting this Bank of America branch.

Friendly, professional people help you out with whatever services you may need. No one turns their head, pretending to not see you! This makes it easy to get in & get out, particularly during the pandemic. At my local branch, the interior is still locked with the lobby ATM open. Twice now, while paused in what I was doing, bank personnel have opened the door to see if I needed assistance (i did). Just opened the door without me banging on it! Like - I was a customer who needed help! The ATM gives $10 bills, the employees are helpful & courteous and they give a decent rate of interest. My short wish list is checked off at CHB!
