Worst dentist I've ever been to. I waited an hour in the chair before anyone came to start on me. When the dentist finally did come in to the room him and his assistant were talking bad about the last patient right in front of me!!! I couldn't believe it! BEWARE. Time management does not exist here. My Girlfriend and I arrived 20 minutes before our appointment. They did not call us to go in back until a full hour later, they were 40 minutes behind! Yet, a woman with her 4 kids comes in 10 minutes after we arrived, and all of them get called back before my girlfriend did. We made our first appointment 2 months before for a full mouth to be done and 2 weeks before hand they email and say they only have time to do half of her mouth!(no wonder, you fit 4 kids and her mom in, money talks for this place) To TCDS: Do not make an appointment for 7 people at one time. This is the second time you made us wait, 40 minute late is extreme and you should have no excuse. You should have called us and told us to come in 30 minutes later, It would have been fine. But as far as service, when you are not being lied to by the friendly staff about how long it will take, one of the aids dropped a tool in my girlfriends mouth and she thought she was going to choke. (how does that even happen!?) And my girlfriend did not like how the DDS sounded really incompentent when she was calling out all her cavities during the first checkup, that's the last thing anybody wants to hear. After our Groupon Check up we should have walked away. The warning signs were there but we had to give them another chance and they really blew it. Will not come back to finish the rest of her mouth. This customer is going elsewhere. Seating is very poor. Waiting room has one chair and one small couch. They have a Coffee Machine but no pods. Seen an older lady looking at it and asking about it but was not offered any. Try Wayzata Dental across the street. This place is unproffesional. No excuse for our experience. read more

I thought that it was just "me" so I didn't say anything! This place should NOT be seeing patients (especially people with special needs), until they have a major change of heart. It's the only place that I could find that would accept our insurance (UCare), that's why I made appointments. Staff is very rude, condescending, and couldn't care less about helping patients! The Invisalign treatment I got did not turn out the way it should have. Not because of the treatment, but because of the personnel and timing. They are nice and no issues there, but completing my treatment was not done in the timeline it should have been and my teeth have slowly started to move back. the permanent retainer they gave me was molded not in the right time line, it was a month after it was supposed to so my teeth had already started to shift a little. Towards the end I was calling their office frequently to come in and finish it, but they wouldn't get back to me or would push it off another week. Felt like a nuisance and by the time I came in it was way past when I should have. read more

I paid for invisalign braces, and after a year of repeatedly getting a sorry they are delayed message, I was offered a refund. I said yes, but would not agree to the 3 page document they wanted me to sign, especially considering it was just to get the money I paid returned to me. Money rightfully mine since they never performed the service. I can only imagine who else has had this happen to them and might of signed the document. Stay away.... Been a long time customer with them for myself and kids. Amazed at how little that matters when an actual issue comes up with unreasonable billing. Very much not given all the information until after the procedure was completed and get shocked by the total due. Not only was I shocked, so was the manager at the front desk when it was time to pay. She was taken back so much that she decided to make and accommodation to let me leave without the payment being made. We will look into this further I am told. Great and we part ways. Then I end up a short time later with the exact same bill in the mail. I call, leave message, was called back and missed it, called again, this telephone tag went on and on. Finally, after yet another call back and message on my behalf, I did not get a response or return call. After waiting for them to respond for some time, I end up calling once again. Ah ha, finally someone answers my call and I actually get ahold of a real person. They proceed to tell me there is nothing they can do and I was explained all this up front. Huey! I have a discount plan as well as insurance. I, NOT ONCE, was told they would not use both and I needed to direct them which to use to help me with the best price, and an actual reasonable bill for the services received. Not even anything remotely close to that. Only AFTER it all, am I told that I should have directed them, and mind you I only get to pick one, which to apply to the services. Well then I should have been asked the question at some point. These people made the decision for me for which to use. In good faith, I trust them to select the best option for their client. One would also assume, that with good customer service, they would allow their customer who is just given a bunch of new information to make the choice now on their own behalf. I tell them I prefer to use the discount plan instead. The answer was no, we can't do that now. More Huey! If you don't tell your customer all the information up front and in fact instead just make their own determination as to which plan to use. Then you have an obligation to either select the plan that is best for the consumer or at the very least, allow them to select their choice now that you make them aware of all the information. I can only come to one conclusion based on their adamant denial of my request to choose myself... Can you say line your pockets and select the plan that makes them the most money. I can. That's why they won't do it. I am pulling all my business from this company FOREVER. I refuse to be robbed right in front of my very eyes me ever again with them. Hope it was worth it. I just now wonder how many other times I was overcharged over the years. Certainly has me wondering. read more

One star is too many! Terrible experience - be warned!! I purchased a Groupon for a Zoom whitening in office visit. I paid $149 on 2/21/13 for this service and Groupon deal. I immediately phoned the phone number listed and got a generic "If you've reached this number during business hours, we're busy please leave a message." For three days I kept trying to reach the business to schedule. I did not receive a call back despite 3 messages. Warning sign #1. Finally I called a back up "if this is an emergency" number. A man answered generically, no business name or his name, just hello. But clearly this was his business. Warning sign #2. I explained I was concerned that this was a legitimate business as no one was calling me back and I'd already paid! He apologized and said he'd take care of and sure enough, they call me a few minutes later to schedule. At the end of February, the very first opening they had was MAY 28th. Warning sign #3. Today, May 28th 45 minutes before my 12:30 appointment I received a voice mail, "we're sorry unfortunately we are going need to reschedule your Zoom whitening as we don't have the Zoom product." I tried calling back 3 times. The generic voice mail and no way to reach a human. I called the back up "emergency for clients of record phone". The man just said hello. I was mad. I let him know that I was upset. I had paid for a service and waited a very long time for this service and then a call 45 minutes before letting me know that it was cancelled??? He said he thought he heard an assistant was ill. Warning sign #4 (get your stories straight). I called Groupon who has flagged this business and refunded my money in full. Staff is incompetent and rude. They lie about procedures. They have poor communication and treat you like your an annoyance rather than a patient. Procedures were incorrectly scheduled and they don't apologize for making you return due to their mishaps. They are technologically challenged and unorganized. Rather than listening to my concerns, dr said, told me not to return to his office. I couldn't believe my ears. Terrible way to run a business! Don't worry dr said, I won't return. read more

I had a tooth that a piece broke off and I went to this dentist Dr. Said, to have it fixed. After seeing him, he told me that in order to fix the tooth, I would need to crown the tooth which is more than just a filling because a large piece of the tooth had broken off. My insurance does not cover or pay for crowning a tooth. He also told me that the two crowned teeth next to the tooth that broke also needed new crowns. The total cost out of pocket would cost me $5,000.00. I decided to have a second opinion at a different dental clinic. When I got my second opinion I was told that the tooth that broke (which was only a small portion of the tooth that broke) only needed a filling and that the crowns next to that tooth didn't need to be replaced at all! I believe that Dr. Said only told me that I needed a crown on the one tooth that broke off instead of just a filling so he could make money off of the price of the crown instead of what the insurance would pay him from the filling. I also feel that he wasn't honest about the other two crowns that he told me I needed to remove and replace which I found out are still good because he also wanted to get the money from me for the crowns. Thanks to my second opinion I am saving $5,000.00!! I will not recommend this dentist to anyone!! read more

Hands down the sweetest, nicest, most friendly and helpful woman works at the front desk! I decided to go there for an estimate after talking to her on the phone. She literally worked out every piece of my proposed treatment plan to try and give me the best price possible. Although I am still checking around before I make my decision, I was completely impressed with her customer service! read more

I would NOT recommend Twin Cities Dental Studio. Within the past year we have had several negative experiences...in addition to dealing with rude and judgemental staff. My first negative experience was the teeth whitening treatment, ZOOM. It did not work. Second negative experience, 2 hours before our appointments we were informed our appointment times had changed. The office staff said they had talked to me about this change a couple weeks prior but that conversation never happened. Third negative experience, on one visit the hygienist commented she couldn't get my daughter's teeth clean...she had 'done the best she could do'. We had to make another appointment to see a different hygienist at Twin Cities Dental Studio who cleaned my daughter's teeth but in the process gouged her composites. They took no responsibility for their actions. Lastly, I sought help with a broken tooth. Dr. Said never even picked up an utensil to examine the broken tooth. From about three feet away, he looked into my mouth and said he suggest leaving it alone and not repairing the broken tooth. I have since found another dentist that has fixed my tooth. read more

I redeemed a Groupon for an in-office Zoom Whitening treatment. Although I was initially happy with the results (despite awful shooting pains in my teeth for the next 24 hours), just ONE WEEK afterwards my teeth have faded back to their original shade. I have completely avoided any coffee/tea/soda/berries, and take very good care of my teeth with regards to brushing and flossing, yet it's as if I never had the Zoom done at all.
