This is the BEST dentists office I've ever been to!! As someone who has so many cavities and crowns, dental anxiety for me is real! They have the newest technology, take my insurance (and I've switched a few times), and their office is so clean and professional. Cannot recommend the entire team at Citident enough, they've really turned around my dental health! read more

Absolutely love this place because of solid service, great reception, and location, location, location. Always a pleasure talking on the phone with Alex and setting up an appointment is really easy. I also get timely reminders for appointments and getting insurance squared away was a breeze! I've been here for xrays, check-ups, and gum measurements (not sure the scientific name for them?) and they've all been relatively pain-free, which is, let me tell you, rare. It goes without saying that Dr. Ngo is the best in the biz: super-friendly and relatable and cares deeply for her patients. I appreciate that she gives me advice for how to take care of my teeth in the 180 days between check-ups. She's an absolute baller. This place looks like it took over location from a mini-golf course; it feels like you're in a cave, but like a modernistic one that doesn't make you feel claustrophobic? I don't know, I really like it and think it's a vibe. This place rules. Big fan! read more

Citident is at a great place for your dental needs. Clean, well maintained and nestled in the FiDi, it's perfect for busy professionals on the go. I had no problem scheduling my appoint with Dr. Ngo, who is very knowledgeable at what she does and extremely friendly. During the visit, she explained to me step by step what she was doing. I'd recommend this practice to whoever wants a quick and pain free experience. read more

I called to schedule a routine cleaning and the experience immediately raised red flags. Before even seeing me, they started explaining multiple scenarios where they might not be able to do the cleaning during the first visit, saying it might require a "deep cleaning" that may not be covered by insurance. All I wanted was to schedule a standard dental cleaning. A good dental office simply schedules the appointment, evaluates the patient, and performs the cleaning if appropriate. Instead, the conversation felt like it was setting up reasons to upsell additional procedures before I had even walked through the door. It left a very uncomfortable impression. If you're just looking for a straightforward, honest dental cleaning appointment, this was not the experience I expected. read more

Terrible experience. I had a routine cleaning and the dental hygienist absolutely mangled my mouth during flossing. I discussed a simple care plan with the dentist including getting a mouthguard. The front desk told me they would email me with next steps and they never followed up. I will never go back. read more

I've been going to CitiDent for a few years now, and they have consistently gone above and beyond with my care. From the helpful text reminders to the kind and hardworking front desk staff, hygienists, and Dr. Valaei, I always feel like I'm in the best hands. I had my Invisalign treatment done here and saw amazing results in just a few months, the process was straightforward and easy to follow. Most recently, I had my old veneers redone, and the experience was fantastic. The results exceeded my expectations, and I couldn't be happier. Over the years, the team at CitiDent has truly given me a smile I'm proud of. I cannot recommend them enough! read more

I went to CitiDent twice for teeth cleaning. I came here because it is very closed to where I work, very convenient. 1st time: the dentist kept recommending me to get crowns for my front teeth, total cost after insurance would be around $9,000. I kept saying I didn't want those, couldn't afford those, obviously I only came in for a dental cleaning today, the dentist still draged a staff here to go over possible payment plans with me. 2nd time: I came here for dental cleaning, one of my teeth felt senstive with cold water, and the dentist took a look but couldn't find any problems, no cavities or anything, then he pushed me to buy a $20+ flouride toothpaste for $40 (Brand name Fluoridex). I cancelled all the following appointments right after that visit. Staff members are very friendly, but that is not the most important thing to have in a dental clinic. **edited the review with picture** I also agree that pushing treatments on patients is very unethical. read more

Dr. Amini is so talented and gracious. He has the most advanced techniques and tools. I've been going there for nearly 20 years

Had a wonderful first experience today, so easy and the staff was very friendly. Will be coming back!

Dr. Amini and his team -- from billing and reception to the hygienists -- are absolutely the best. Everyone performs their work with such professionalism, care, and genuine kindness. Like many people, I've always had some anxiety about visiting the dentist, mostly out of fear that it might hurt. But after several specialized procedures, I can confidently say I've experienced no pain at all -- during or after treatment. Dr. Amini truly takes care of his patients and ensures the entire process is comfortable, calm, and stress-free. He takes the time to explain each step, checks in often to make sure you're doing okay, and never rushes through care. His gentle approach and attention to detail make all the difference. It's rare to find a dental office where you feel both completely cared for and genuinely valued, but that's exactly what you get here. I can't recommend Dr. Amini and his team highly enough -- they've completely changed the way I feel about going to the dentist. read more

Have come here for the past 2 years. Staff is always very friendly, Sarah and V were great. Front desk always helpful

Apparently this office was sold. Used to be amazing! But today I had the worst teeth cleaning of my life. Poked, prodded - my mouth hurts. Mostly though it was an upsell from the minute I sat down. So sad because this place used to be so great :( read more

Awesome dentist! Since moving to San Francisco a couple years ago, I have been using Citident as my dentist. I had my teeth straightened at another clinic and Dr. Amini was awesome helping me maintain my teeth during the process, and since completing that process has fixed some issues I was having including a crown. Dr. Amini and his staff like Alex out front and everybody who works there, including the hygienists are really thoughtful and professional people. I'm glad to have found this dentist, I have confidence in what he recommends and I'm glad to have a trusted professional to maintain something so very important to me; my teeth! read more

I have been coming to CitiDent for a year and half and the staff is so welcoming, friendly and helpful. I have been a patient of Dr. Jasselle's since she was a student at UCSF. She is kind, approachable, thorough, and is always happy to answer any questions on why she is recommending a treatment plan. She also always checks-in when she's working on your teeth to make sure you are comfortable and asks if there is any discomfort or pain. The staff from the the front-desk to the dental assistants is so approachable especially when you have questions about insurance and how much a certain procedure will cost. The office is very accessible via Bart in Downtown SF. I can't recommend it enough. Thank you CitiDent! read more

I came to CitiDent after a really poor experience with my past dentist, and I am so relieved to have found such a high quality, clean, and kind office. Dr. Cabugao is so attentive and empathetic, she makes sure I have everything I need and am comfortable before starting any procedure. My hygienist, Sarah, was so kind and gave me great tips on keeping my teeth clean. Wonderful team and great environment. Happy I finally found a forever dentist! read more

Dr. Ngo and team are stellar at making dental appointments less scary. Everyone working there is very friendly and super helpful with any questions you might have. My first appointment with them last year was a thorough assessment of the current state of my teeth as well as tips on continued maintenance. I went for my second appointment recently and I have never had a more efficient experience for a dental visit. I was in and out of there in 20 minutes, teeth fully assessed, professionally cleaned, flossed, and mouthwashed (granted no oddities happening with my teeth)! This is honestly a new standard for how I want all of my appointments to go. read more

Going to the dentist has always been anxiety inducing until I found Dr. Amini. He really took the time to educate and explain the treatment plan, made me feel super comfortable. I was devastated to find out I needed a deep cleaning and multiple fillings but honestly couldn't believe how pleasant the whole experience was, I didn't feel any pain whatsoever and certainly didn't expect that with my pain tolerance. I'm not one to write reviews but I just had to! He's completely changed my perception towards seeing a dentist. I'd certainly come back here for all my future dental needs and have referred my friends and family to come here as well. This is somewhat of a life changing experience for someone who used to hate going to the dentist. I'm beyond grateful and so thankful for their entire staff who took such great care of me and tailored the treatment to my needs read more

Dr. Jennifer Ngo and the entire CitiDent team are spectacular. I have been going to CitiDent since moving to San Francisco over five years ago. Dr. Ngo is very good at what she does and goes above and beyond to address any questions I have. The client service at CitiDent is impressive and does not go unnoticed by patients. Whether it is a scheduled teeth cleaning or an impromptu visit, the CitiDent team is great to work with and very responsive. I chipped a tooth during a weekend and Dr. Ngo was fully booked the next week, however she and her team were able to open a bit early the following week to fix my tooth. I was extremely grateful and had not expected her to be able to see me so quickly. I would highly recommend the CitiDent practice to anyone! read more

I recently visited CitiDent for the first time and had a great experience. Their staff was friendly and warm. My dentist (Dr. Ngo) was really friendly, knowledgeable, and had great bedside manner. I was referred to CitiDent by a tech at Uniform Teeth and literally had a life-changing experience with Dr. Ngo. I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive at first because 1) it's the dentist (haha) and 2) the location. However, when I first walked into the office, I felt so welcomed. Everyone is always friendly. The office is very clean, modern and definitely not scary looking like some dental offices. The music playing throughout the office is also a pretty nice touch. I cannot express my gratitude for how much Dr. Ngo has done for me. I knew I found the right dentist when I voiced my concerns and she said "Girl, I got you." She really meant that. She took care of everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) we talked about. It was a lonnnnnngggg journey but it was definitely worth it! I don't have to turn to my "good side" in photos and I am no longer the little silver-fillings-galore-toothed gremlin kid I once was. LOL. She's like my own Paolo from Princess Diaries - IYKYK. "Only [Dr. Ngo] can take [2 dead front teeth] and [old silver fillings from all sides - top and bottom - of the mouth] and give you a [smile you've always wished for]." Thank you for giving me a much-needed confidence boost, Dr. Ngo! You're truly the best! And yes, I will be your spokesperson anytime! P.S. Not posting photos of past teeth for the sole intent of not traumatizing anyone. LOL. read more

I went for a first time appointment after not going to the dentist for 14 months (busy, pandemic, etc). I knew that they don't do the cleaning right away which worried me a little but the reviews were so good I thought I'll give them a try. Pros: the facility is very nice, modern, clean. The camera they use to see all your teeth is cool. Cons: I was shocked when the dentist told me that I have pre-periodental disease and needed to have a deep cleaning which would be painful and need anesthesia (you have to make 2 appointments - one for each side of the mouth). He also told me I need braces right away and questioned me when I told him I floss daily (I'm not a liar!). The last part was what made me question him, he was pretty patronizing. I decided to get a second opinion so I went for a cleaning at another, less fancy dentist who told me yes I had a lot of tartar build up but if I get back on regular appointments I'd be fine and I don't need the deep cleaning. I won't be back at Citident because I suspect they're just trying to squeeze money out of patients with extra unnecessary services. read more

My experiences here have been seamless: I was recommended by a family member, called to book my first appointment, and the rest has been history. Staff is incredibly helpful and very skilled at what they do: appointments are made within seconds, numerous reminders sent out, and check in texts sent the day of. Dr Ngo is my dentist and I feel very taken care of when I get to see her. Her hand is light, her work quick, and the quality is immeasurable. Despite being someone that typically tends to get anxious when going to the dentist, I find myself very comfortable now with going and getting my cleanings or even fillings taken care of. I'd absolutely, 100% recommend coming here if you're looking for a new dentist. read more

The Citident team is always very kind and attentive. I've been going there for a couple years now. I've gotten fillings and multiple cleanings. I have been really impressed with there state of the art tools they use in this practice. They took photos of EVERY SINGLE TOOTH and they do so for all procedures to show before, during and after pictures. I see Dr Jasselle Cabugao and she is kind, thorough, and does great work!
