When I use to work in Concord I would pay my Citi Visa here at this location. This location is a great. I was help by the banker and did not have to be waited for a long time. This location can be hard to find parking since 7-11 and Round Table Pizza are in the same plaza. I submitted a dispute on a charge under the Fair Billing Act to my Citibank credit card. The process indicated an investigation was in process. The charge was for a barbecue grill I ordered on June 19, 2025 that I never received. I was denied by Citibank with no reason given for the decision. I contacted the company BBQGrills . com and the informed me that there was a switch in their bank, I should submit a new dispute, they would send me an email to forward to my credit card company and this should secure my refund. The company said Citibank could get the money back from them but this would help me get my refund sooner. I submitted the email from BBQGrills that said I cancelled my order on 8/8/25 and I was due a refund. Citibank opened a second dispute and I was denied a second time on 12/12/25. I spoke to the Senior Account Executive Crystal at Citibank and she said that Citibank could not refund all disputes because they would go bankrupt. I have been a customer with Citibank for over 14 years. I charge all my bills and purchases on this card. They have made a great deal of money on my account. The refund should have been $2,072.76. I have had disputes approved in the past for $6.95 a much smaller amount. The reason Citibank denied my dispute was obviously the amount of the dispute not the validity. This company is as corrupt as BBQGrills. I am a retired Civil Servant (37 years) . I am 74 years old and can not afford to have this money stolen from me. I have tried the BBB and Consumer Fraud (CFPB) to no avail. I have been told California has the strongest consumer protection laws especially for Elders but I haven't experienced it. I plan to go to small claims court. This is very time consuming and mentally and emotionally stressful. If you read this DoNot get a Citibank credit card or order anything from BBQGrills.com. Unacceptable Discriminatory Treatment - Angel Liu I am the CEO of an international security firm with offices around the US and Mexico.... I visited the Pleasant Hill Citibank branch on January 31, 2026 to make a routine deposit for a long-standing customer who has banked with Citibank for over 20 years. I was assisted by teller Angel Liu. What should have been a simple transaction became deeply troubling. Ms. Liu made unprofessional comments about the account holder's name, suggesting it "didn't sound right" and appeared to be "multiple people." When she asked if it was a Spanish name and I confirmed the account holder was Mexican, her entire demeanor changed immediately. She became noticeably hostile and ultimately denied the transaction without valid justification. This treatment was discriminatory, unprofessional, and unacceptable. A customer's ethnic background should have absolutely no bearing on how they are treated by bank staff. The account holder has maintained their account in good standing for two decades and deserves the same respectful service as any other customer. I am extremely disappointed that this occurred at a Citibank branch in California, and I expect the bank to take this matter seriously. Discriminatory behavior has no place in banking or any customer service environment. I have a credit card through Citibank that I signed up for at a retailer. I came in to try and pay the bill today because the retailer said they could not locate my account. The banker told me since I don't have a bank account there I can't pay cash. She confirms that if I bring a check she will be able to help me. I went back to my bank and brought a check. They proceeded to tell me they could not help me. They offered ZERO assistance. Not to call corporate and try to help...THEY WOULDNT EVEN LOOK UP MY ACCOUNT. They did nothing. I ACTUALLY HAD TO SUE THEM, AND WON. the worst possible experience with their dispute section, rude, abrasive, actually yelling at me. they received a credit memo from the merchant, citibank made an error in the amount, i asked them to correct and refund me the correct amount. they simply said no, and wouldnt refund anything ($1500), said the dispute was closed. after more than a year and hiring lawyers, they paid $2500, $1675 to me remainder to lawyer. what a despicable way to treat a customer of over 20 years. read more

The tellers are great. Laura has served us for at least 20 years. She is a jewel. First layer of telephone customer service is good. Very clear and cordial but once you hit the Fraud dept, etc they become hard to understand and not very helpful. Of course, there are exceptions. Do not feel very served in other areas of the bank when there is an urgent problem. Everything was resolved in the end, but not without a few new gray hairs and lots of phone calls and visits. I have been a customer of Citi for 20 years today. They closed my credit card and didn't even tell me when I called customer service. They couldn't tell me either. They just told me that I need to wait for the letter and the credit cards companies have the right to cancel if they don't offer that service anymore. This is not how you treat customers I will be taking my money somewhere else and making sure I tell everyone not to bank with Citibank. The bank is also inconvenient. Forget all the past horrible service we've received at this branch, today my mom (a wonderful lady in her 80s) went to this branch to deposit the CA Money Payment California just made to certain of the state's taxpayers. A woman and a man both told my mom she could not deposit the money associated with the Debit card to her account with their help. She had to go outside and use an ATM. My mom has NEVER used an ATM, and these people would not make the deposit for her. They are awful here! In addition, i just googled as to how the debit card may be redeemed. It specifically says "or get cash from a bank or credit union teller." This is how horrible these people are. Not only are the unkind and unhelpful to Citibank's customers, they are breaking the law under which the debit cards were issued. I have been banking for Citibank for a couple years and they have always been helpful. I always go to this branch because it's convenient but I've only really had to go to the tellers for help. They always managed to help me out so I don't have a problem with that. The issue I have is with the branch manager Shirley O. Back in April 14, 2015 I noticed 2 transactions I did not make. Right away I went to a personal banker to see what was going on. Long story short they told me they would investigate it and set me up with a new card and gave me a temporary card until I received the real one. I never received the real one so I went back in before the temporary card expired. They told me it was received but in reality I never received it seeing how I had it sent to my PO BOX I didn't think anybody stole it so I thought maybe it was a mistake. After that they did the same thing over AGAIN. Gave me a temporary card and had to wait 2 weeks until the new card came in. THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I never received it and they said I did. So I went back and asked them if they could send it to the branch where I could just pick it up and they told me they couldn't do that and that they could try to send it again so i just went with it. AGAIN, I never received it. I had gone to all 3 bankers that they had and this was my 4th time going to complain! So I called to complain because I was frustrated. ANYONE WOULD BE. If I wasn't receiving all those cards they were sending me then who were they sending it to? I complained because it could be a fraudulent situation and the branch manager SHIRLEY told me I could only go back and have another one sent. She then told me to calm down. After that I was really mad! Your telling me to calm down when you can't do anything. This is MY money I need to make payments MIND YOU this happened in APRIL it's now JULY! She started yelling back at me and from then I knew she was no help. How unprofessional! For all I know they could be screwing withy checking account since they claim they don't know what else is going on with it. NEVER COMING TO THIS BRANCH AGAIN. Probably going to cancel my card here since they're basically saying they can't do anything besides send a new card again which I'm never going to get! VERY FRIENDLY BANKING I try to avoid cheating on the Citibank by my home (on Treat). I bank there mostly because it's convenient on my way to or from work. I use this bank only for the office business account. I do not have a personal account with Citibank, but I am inside a branch 2-3 times a week. The Treat branch has been consistently wonderful, and we've had two appalling experiences in Walnut Creek (lost deposits). This was my first time inside this branch. I parked in the lot out front shared with several other businesses. It's been a while since I've been in this plaza. Probably since I took my ASVAB at the Naval recruiting station back in 2000ish. While reminiscing, I locked my car and shut the door, purse still on the front seat; keys in purse!! #$%& me! A kind stranger saw me breaking into the back of my Explorer and he offered a helpful hand. Together, we retrieved my keys. By the time I got in to the bank I was hot and a little dirty. Thank goodness there was no line because I'd left my patience somewhere outside. The teller was polite, professional and even complimented my shirt. I needed that since I felt so hot and gross. This location is too out of my way to return on a regular basis, but if it's convenient again at least I won't have to worry about having any problems. read more

I upgraded to Citigold after banking with them for decades (decades not because they are great but bc easier since that is where i banked since college) because I figured I may as well get the upgraded benefits in exchange for parking some more assets with them. The ONLY benefit I have gotten from them is being able to use my cash card anywhere without fees and no foreign transaction fees. Everything else is bs. They even swapped out my contact person without notifying me and putting me with someone in China Town (very far from me) and I'm wondering if that is racial profiling/marketing. I also had a financial money manager who was very hungry for me to sign up for more fees-added assets with him but could not bother to even properly look over information I had given him so he could "pitch" me on how good he is. My mother is a 20+ year customer of Citibank and things have been swell since she only does simple banking but if you require anything beyond that, no matter how seemingly small, you will be caught in a myriad of bureaucracy. We only requested that a name be removed from the checking account in which all parties agreed to. Sounds simple enough, but we're told that is not allowed, and that we would have to close the account and start a new account, which would be very troublesome as my mother's Social Security, credit card payments, mortgage payment, etc are all tied to this account. Then we called Citibank customer service, and they told us it was doable, and the branch would just need to make an exception. You would think that after during the first branch visit that that they would let us know about the exception? Not only that, on our second visit to another branch, same story. They would only admit to this exception after you threaten to close the account. No customer should go through this exhaustion for a simple procedure. Then we are told it would take a week for this to take effect even though we signed off documents waiving all liability to Citibank to take the name off and shredded the ATM card. If something requires a full liability release waiver, that is also notarized by bank official, and the card is shredded on the spot, the process should be handled by the back office as soon as they receive the documents, not sit in some limbo for 7-14 business days, which is effectively 3 weeks. Citibank has dropped the ball big time with customer service, I believe. It's distressing to know that when you speak with branch folks and customer service on the phone, you get different accounts as to the procedures and instructions that you do not know what to believe. read more

If possible I would give them a negative 5 star rating!! This is the most inept organization I have ever had the misfortune to deal with, worse than the USPS and the DMV combined. This review is aimed at the corporate level not the local banks. Several years ago I obtained one of their Costco credit cards due to Costco leaving American Express. Since then I have had nothing but trouble with my card receiving fraudulent charges on 3 separate occasions. The response to these issues from their customer service has been comical. They make repeated errors in correcting the fraudulent charges and have a system that borders on insanity. The first problem was they failed to send me a replacement card. Upon calling customer service, I waited on hold for half an hour before they assured me they would overnight a new card. A week later I finally received my card. Then three weeks later I received another card with the same account number? To top it off at the end of the month they changed my Autopay to deduct only the minimum payment instead of the entire bill as directed for the last four years!!! When I asked the agent why they changed my billing preference, he replied, that's just how we do it!!! If they ever solve my latest problem I am going to burn their card and carry cash to Costco, long live American Express, they are the best! read more

I've been with Citibank ever since they bought out Cal Fed. The staff here is normally very helpful and friendly, though I've rarely had much interaction with them lately since the majority of my banking is done online or at 1 of the 2 ATM's located inside the building. After business hours, you need a Citibank card in order to open the secured glass door to access the ATM's, so there's little need to worry about random people standing behind you as you deposit or withdraw your hard-earned loot. read more

I told her the situation I was in and if she could please help me out .
