Then a different one walked over and said she could help but I would need to come back later since she was going on her break. I just find it odd that only one person working in that building could assist me. But it doesn't end here, I then drove over to a different Wells Fargo location and that employee in his cubicle did assist me with my simple request but was extremely rude and impatient as if I was imposing on him since he had to do work (also no other customers waiting in line there). Lousy customer service and representation of the company. Hopefully Wells Fargo will improve on training their employees to be more knowledgeable and have better attitudes when working with customers.

I explained what I needed, why a bank statement wouldn't work, and provided an example from another bank. BoA's process is to send documentation requests to a back office group that has standarized templates. The person I spoke to at the branch didn't know what would be sent to me. I was sent many iterations of form letters than I was clear upfront wouldn't work and had to wait 1 week each time to know what they sent me was what I said I didn't need. Not sure if the issue is this branch or BoA process inflexibility. But when the issue was escalated to a manager and then the branch manager it made no difference. Very disappointing experience.

I thought the tellers were incompetent, until I met the manager, Jose. He was shockingly rude to someone who has been banking there for over 70 years. To wait in line for an hour simply to get petty cash is shocking. To treat clients with arrogance and contempt is unforgivable. The fact that this bank is dilapidated and has no protection from robbers (the safe was wide open) certainly makes it a more dangerous place to bank, especially with crime on the rise in LA. I honestly feel sorry for the tellers for both the unsafe work environment and working under Jose. After 70 years, we'll be taking our business to Wells.

The bankers at this branch had been able to seamlessly take care of some important account updates we needed (and were unable to get done at another branch) AND convinced my elderly mother, who was uncomfortable with any investments other than CDs, to open an investment account for the first time.
