Received a solicitation offer from Citibank in the mail this past January. Deposit $30,000.00 in new funds into a checking account, let it sit there for 90 days, and after that get $750.00 within the following 30 days. So, I checked my fat mattress, and loaned Citibank the money. Well, the 90 days passed, and a week later I got the $750.00. I immediately closed the account and put the money back into my fat mattress. Pleasure doing business with you Citibank. read more

Manager Yudi thinks that 120 days = 6 months. Absolutely harrowing experience, still trying to sort things out from other citibank channels. Wouldn't lift a pinky to help me with something very straightforward, I am still on phone for over an hour with Citibank. Can't wait to get my money out and sever ties forever. Lies, said I would get a letter in the mail. No letter. Now denies he said that. Slippery phonies with their bullshit "we're obsessed with our clients". My "personal banker" is not responsive. read more

I have been a customer with Citibank since the 80s and it is finally time to part ways. It is not my bank for usual banking activities. In fact I have gone years without transactions and Citibank have frozen my accounts. In 2021 I went to this branch to open a CD which was a gift for someone. Upon maturity, I discovered that the CD was set up for the incorrect interest and no one was interested in having a conversation with me at the branch regarding this. I sent an email to the branch manager and she did not address my concern. Today I was attempting 2 transactions - 1 between Citibank accounts and the other was a money transfer to another bank. I attempted the external transaction 3 times and it will not go through. I was stuck on the page where it asks for "Challenge Questions," not because I did not know the answer but because their system seems "malfunction" when it comes to transfer cash from Citibank to an external bank. read more

Had a nasty teller always rude to my kid who wanted to change pennies, called the mgr ,he defended her.I was so upset someone on line nudged me from behind ,and I turned and almost belted them. I needed a insurance checkdeposited and one of them said no she dont do that but another emplyee overheard and came over and helped me ,all done in 5 min. The other branch had a nasty attitude when you required something with ID,would tell you the signature was no good. The best branch is in Long island, always nice. read more

I bank here at this location all the time. It has a front and a back parking lot, the back is best and less difficult to park. Overall the wait time could be long on Thursday and Friday during the lunchtime hours. They have 4 automated teller machines in which you could do most of the basic banking. Should you need cards issued or purchase a bank check, you certainly have to use the teller. Customer service is not the best, unlike the branches in Manhattan so dont expect too much even if you are a gold level client and require investment advice. However this branch is an improvement over the bayside branch in bell blvd. read more

I usually drive all the way to Long Island to take care of my banking needs even though this branch is closer to my neighborhood . I hate coming here, The service is always slow. Because of an emergency, I had to go to the Fresh Meadows branch. It was a simple banking request and my wait was at least 45 minutes. If it wasn't something that needed to be done immediately, I would've left and drove to the one In Manhasset ( which always has excellent service) outside of using the atm, would never recommend this branch. read more

I just go here to make my weekly deposit by the atm or a teller Haven't interacted with the people there, but If I had a reason to I would read more

Just look at the rest of the reviews here. this goes to show you how little they care about people! I came here during my lunch break as i do every so often to cash a Citibank check. Up until today, it hasnt been an issue. Today i went up to the teller and she told me in broken english that they have never cashed citibank checks, and everyone needs to have an account there. I informed her that i came here last month and they cashed it for me no issue. She restated, they have never done this in all the years shes worked there. i walked out. All the other reviews mention bad customer service! now i see why. I called the Utopia location and they said they will do it for me no issue! Joshua said that all branches are supposed to cash any Citibank check... Great customer service.... seriously.... Go support a local community bank! Do not go to the big boys. read more

The worst service ever!!!! Went there wait for one hour to spoke with the rep (Sonet) and he told me needs to meet with his manager to solve my issue. Then we scheduled for another visit when his manager is here. However, when I came back his manager was not there (what is the point for the appointment?). So Sonet told me to sign some documents and said would call me later. One week has passed no one ever called me. And I am trying to call the branch for an hour but no one answer the phone!!!! This is the worst banking experience I ever had. No regrets to close the account. CHASE is way better. read more

This branch is terrible. Save yourself time and stress and go to another branch. We came last week and were told to email all the documents for mortgage preappoval, no progress. Came back, waited 1 hour only to be given another persons card to call and make an appointment. Waste of time, inefficient. They need a major restructure. Went to bell blvd branch and was assisted immediately. Night and day. read more

poor customer service..long waits..no one knows what they are doing! only reason I'm here is because their bullshit phone system can't help but transfer me in circles. I literally spoke to the same person 3 times on the phone hunt. Citibank needs to reassess their branches and customer service. rather deal with Chase on any given day! read more

If I wouldn't have to terminate my CD account, I would rather prefer to deal with ATMs. Especially for an institution that's known for their notorious service. On a weekday late afternoon, I walked into the branch with my t-shirt and sneakers and I stood quietly at the front desk for about 10 minutes until my turn. Since no one else noticed me at that time, I had to wait longer for the one-and-only customer service representative to direct me to the right banker. Apparently the woman at the front desk was "really" the one-and-only customer service representative. At first I told her I need to discontinue my CD and speak to a financial advisor who can assist in saving & maximizing my funds given the fact that my money is available for use again. She didn't listen and said, "I can help you with that." Assuming she didn't understand my words, I reiterated that I actually wanted to sit down in a quiet area to discuss my concerns with an experienced investment banker because I might need some serious advice in terms in what/where/when/how to invest. She finally understood (or acted like she did) after the rendition. I think she did it on purpose. Either way, I wasn't pleased with the poor customer service and can't tolerate the ignorant attitude because I had to waste time to repeat my requests and beg for some quality assistance. Who likes to be treated as the worst client? What's with the hesitation and confusion? Why can't they be as nice as other banks? As a result, I took most of my money out and left them with minimum balance. I left them with the minimum balance because I want to maintain my satisfactory credit ratings, not because I'd still use their service. Due to their horrible customer service, I'd never recommend anyone to use any Citibank, particularly the mentioned branch. read more

Waited nearly an hour snd they can't help me with my request. This is absolutely bullshit!!! Very slow service!!! Go bank elsewhere

I have been banking with them . As well i have a double cash back Citi Credit Card (which is great) And i always had a very pleasant experience with this branch. I have been a client of two other large well known banks in the past and I will say this branch was my favorite. As well from my experience they keep the lines short and have enough staff and I have never needed to wait lengthy time on line to speak with a bank specialist or a manager at the banks like I have had to at other places . read more

I've had very bad experiences with my Citibank business debit card.. they have stopped me from purchasing supplies for suspicion of fraud 5 days In row.. when I would visit this branch I was assured problem was solved... and what do you know.. I was stopped again from purchasing supplies the following day. It's very frustrating when your Time is valuable and your bank interferes with the operation of your business..it's a DEBIT card..why are you stopping me from spending my own money..I don't get it..and they are very understaffed for sure ..it takes forever to get help. read more

Omg the most horrible bank ever!! I went for my boss I don't use Citibank bc I have had bad experiences. 1st off parking lot is tiny! 2nd walk in and there's literally 10 people online waiting. 2 tellers!!! Only who does that. There were 4 bankers sitting down maybe 1 was with a client , and then one lady who was acting like a hall monitor. She would guide u two feet and chit chat! I asked her if she could help me and she straight out said no bc she's higher up! Well, in this new world everyone starts off at the bottom so you should help out your tellers because customers are the reason you have a job! I WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK OR EVEB THINK OF BANKING WITH CITIBANK. They need my money I don't need there's! The young teller was so nice and that's why I even gave 1 star bc yelp won't make you go any lower! read more

I love Citibank but I dread having to come to this location for anything other than the ATM. I prefer to go to the one near work in Long Island because my transactions are faster and smoother. This particular branch is always busy and seemingly understaffed. One day my husband and I decided to stop by on a Saturday to open up a new account. There should definitely be a separate person handling these giving them prompt attention because this is potential new business for them as well as additional money. We waited for about an hour and lost our patience. As we exited we mentioned that they just lost money to the clerk as we were walking out. In that entire hour we had been sitting there no one even bothered to mention how long the wait was, or that we would be taken care of soon or even gave us any attention at all. It would have been nice to at least be acknowledge for waiting, or perhaps told what place we were in the queue. I can't even imagine how many accounts they have lost due to this very reason. We also asked to speak to the branch manager however we were told they were not available. And there you have it, lack of management! read more

Poor customer service, I already have a saving and checking account with Citibank. Thinking of open a CD account there. When I walk in the the branch. A staff walk pass by me with no greeting. I sign in and Wait, no chair no one asking me if I need help. After those I cross out my name and just walk out the door. No going back to this fresh meadow branch anymore. read more

all banks suck! in the end they get your money. not a good atm spot. they take 3 dollars per transaction!!!!!!! read more

Citibank - Needs money!!! - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Fresh Meadows, New York

No matter what time of day, busy, not busy, long line, slow line, no line, this place sucks. I usually ride over there on my bike and not slow either so when I come in there I'm sweatin' bullets. No matter what I need done and it's usually trivial: need a few rolls of quarters or singles for my Granny, it's a long, slow, laborious task. I'm a card holder, Granny's a card holder, this should be a wham bam situation, but noooooo, they gotta drag it on for 10 minutes all the while I'm standing in a puddle of my own sweat and fuming on the inside. Anyway, if you're in a rush, don't come here. read more

Worse bank I have ever had my accounts in due to a rude and unprofessional branch manager. Most of the staff does not speak American English and are difficult to understand. Branch manager and staff does not comply with the Americans with Disability Act. Need a new manager in this branch who cares about people and shows respect to the clients. The Utopia and Bayside Branches are wonderful to deal with and branch manager and all employees speak fluent English. Also these two branches accomodate the disabled. Stay away from the Fresh Meadows Branch # 158. read more

horrible attitude! tellers & their manager will laughing at you if you speak English with accent!
