Beware. I have been a personal and business client for 2 years and they decided to 'restrict' my checking account and are in the midst of closing it without telling me why. I had some unauthorized charges that I disputed and were settled, but afterwards they restricted my account and now I have access to none of my funds. Since we're in the midst of a pandemic and staff is low and super busy, I can't get anyone on the phone. This has been going on for WEEKS. I spent nearly three hours in the branch standing on my feet with a mask gloves and a bad back (I'm also diabetic) - dealing with the most lazy, rude and downright nasty teller named AFNAN AHMED, who I have reported to corporate. I also reported Chase for freezing my funds, as I owe them no money and they haven't been able to provide me with a reason why this has happened. I believe there is MAJOR fraud going on at Chase and also at this branch. I have launched a complaint with occ.gov (Office of the Comptroller of Currency). This may very well end up in a lawsuit. Oh, and as for that bank teller AFNAN AHMED - I believe he treated me so poorly because I am African American. I mentioned this in my report to corporate. If you are African American, you will definitely get worse treatment at this particular location, as most of the tellers and bankers are Indian and don't bother to hide the fact that they do the BARE MINIMUM for their African American clients. I will fight not just for my money but also for a review of the prejudice that goes on in this branch. Ridge wood Bank a few doors over is much better. Skip this Chase branch, they are a bunch of scammers. read more
