Citi cafe was a casual cafe/lunch bar on east side of the intersection of Frome St and Pirie St. Only open on Mon-Fri, their customer group are mostly office workers from around.
It was run by few Italians before if I remember correctly. At the end of 2013, some Chinese owner took over this shop. So now you can see a mixture of Asian food and Aussie food from their cabinet, they really expended the food range since they took over. You can get sandwich, burger, hot dog, pie, rolls, sushi, fried rice, noodles, soup, salad, and even steamed dim sum, basically any snacks or lunch food you can think of. Plenty options to choose from, I guess that's why it always packed with people from morning to late afternoon.
Their coffee is giant and not expensive, bit stronger or bitterer than other places. And from what I see, the prices of other food is not cheap, a roasted pork roll costs $8.5 when other place usually sell under $6. So does the other food here. But still, this shop is always busy, and it has relatively big space plus outdoor seats. It's a choice for lunch if you want both local and Asian food. read more
