The Coke wasn't quite frozen so I added a little cherry to firm it up. It was one of my flavor combos but a little syrupy since it didn't have that icy texture. Late at night you get some interesting characters in here. But it's still usually the cheapest gas near downtown. I've arrived at odd hours (usually late night) to find scrawled signs on the doors saying "closed for inventory until 1:30 am." Seems like an odd time to do inventory, but hey, if you're not getting this... I take the bad with the good here. When our house got broken into years back, the gal who used to work here commiserated with me, mentioning that they'd been held up a few weeks prior. Don't know the details, but she was friendly and I appreciated the sympathy. In summary -- the place is a little bootleg, but the staff are generally friendly, the convenience items like snacks, etc. are plentiful, and the gas so cheap that it's all-in-all a worthwhile trade-off. This store manager, Christina, made it very clear that she didn't care. When I approached her with my concern initially, she was just as rude as John had been the night prior. Smh. My dollars will be spent elsewhere from now on. Prior to this incident I was easily spending hundreds of dollars there per month. To Speedway: when you lose customers you lose money.
