Our Fam @ Circus Vasquez!

THE GOOD ---------------- + Entertaining and an OK variety of different acts. + The big tent that they use has a pretty cool, unique design and is easily visible from ANYWHERE + Circus show runs for about 2 hours, with a 15 minute intermission, which is perfect for kids. + For the Paramus location, where it's held at the Westfield Garden State Plaza mall parking lot, there is PLENTY of parking in the lot. + There are PLENTY of promo codes available to get discounted tickets for the shows. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Not as good as the Big Apple Circus. ---- There weren't as many acts as we've seen from other circuses. Some acts involved the same performers. ---- No trapeze act, no animals involved in any acts. ---- Everything felt like a money grab, especially the photo ops. They will even find you in your seats, to see if you want to make a purchase of photos you have taken. MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Chistirrin the clown, who basically moves the show along with his own act, was just OK. He had his moments, but also fell flat with the crowd a few times. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Watched a Saturday, 4 PM show at the Westfield Garden State Plaza mall and I was surprised at how many people actually attended. The show was about 2/3 full. Despite the negatives I listed, major kudos to the performers as you can still see the effort that they put into their acts and, if this is a 1st circus experience, it still is worth the relatively inexpensive entry.

Circus Vazquez was the highlight of my weekend. I went with a friend and it was very entertaining. The circus tent was very nice not what I expected to be honest but everything was in order the concession stand was smooth long lines but it was quick . Ushers escorted you to your seat. Porter johns were clean . The performers and performance was fantastic . If they're in your town or the town over, I recommend that you go check them out. You won't be disappointed, funny and entertaining.

Very chill and entertaining experience for families. It's cute. Think less tigers, lions and elephants ... And more large pigs, piglets and cute designer pups. I like that it's family run and the family are in the acts. The acts don't go off flawlessly but B+ for effort and entertainment.

Came here with a date because recently I've become interested in circuses. I saw ads for this and was able to get a discount. The circus wasn't too surprising. The predictable acts came on but they were all phenomenal even when they messed up. The highlight for me was the clown and music. They played with a live band and put on great choreography. The clown was absolutely hilarious and had to be the star of the show. He was able to work the crowd and kept us involved while we waited for the next act. Only complaint is expensive concessions. The churros are $5 and the funnel cake is $10. They're pretty good though if you opt to treat yourself. My advise is to not come before doors open. Unfortunately there isn't anything to do in the area to pass the time. My other knock against this place was that there was no trapeze act. Despite these flaws, I had a great time and recommend this place to anyone who is interested in seeing a good show. Great music, comedy, and acts!

Circus is here in town til 12/12/21. We went on a Friday 7:30 pm show. Tickets range from $25-$50. We got tickets at a discounted price at Goldstar weeks ago. Parking is $15. Inside the big tent was nice and warm since it's heated. Concessions available with expected pricier range. We got funnel cake $8 and soda $6. Flashing sword was $17. Showed ended at 9:30 pm. Intermission was 20 min with photo op at the stage, $20 each photo. Awesome performers and clown performance was funny. Kids enjoyed very much. No animal performance. Will attend again when it returns next Year.

Ask the Community - Circus Vazquez

Is Cirque Vasquez good for children age 3 years old?

I think generally young kids enjoy the show but some performances have loud music.

Honestly none of what the clown did was funny and just felt like filler to use as much time as possible.

Are you spending your Saturday afternoon in Flushing Meadows Park or Citi Field and found yourself…read morecraving for more of that Queens energy, and most importantly, craving for more of that diverse food scene? Well, then head on over to the Queens Night Market? Although there seems to be some kind of food festival popping up each weekend across the city, the vibe and diverse food scene here is still unmatched! The food selection has grown exponentially since I last visited over five years ago, making it easier for visitors to sample international bites all in one place. Moreover, the prices remained reasonable with most items under $8. On this visit, we tried the egg-shaped waffles stuffed with Nutella and custard, the Burmese pancakes stuffed with meat, the Venezuelan corn pancake stuffed with beef and mozzarella, and some Hainanese chicken with rice. Most of these items were delicious and the standout were the Burmese stuffed pancakes. The portions, although small, are still good enough for sharing. If you need more reasons to visit, they are also showing World Cup games here when we visited. You can have your watch party with great food options! The service is usually quite quick despite some long lines.

Queens Night Market continues to be a great place to sample ethnic cuisine from around the world…read more Our favorites for the 2026 Night Market are the Syrian Booza from Hanina Sweets and Coconut Curry Ramen from Burmese Bites, both $6 each. Others: - Pastel de Nata from Joey Bats Café: $4 per egg tart. Good, though it doesn't beat the ones found in Lisbon, Portugal. - Beef Pepperpot from Lexie's Caribbean Cuisine: OK. $6 buys a rather large serving for the price. The dish is flavorful, but the cuts of meat used run a bit tough. - Beef Meat Pie from Soronko Kitchen and Bakery: $6. OK. Could use more flavor than the included Cholula hot sauce packet provided. - Beef Gyro from Enfes NYC: $6. Good, balanced. On the other hand, we didn't like their grape leaves ($5), which we thought were too tart. The logistics of the Night Market have changed slightly since my initial review in 2019. It is still better to take mass transit, as there is no longer free parking in the adjacent parking lot operated by New York Hall of Science. It is difficult but possible to find metered and unmetered street parking in the neighborhood.

Historically speaking I had never been to the Queens Theatre before the other night when I caught…read morethe NYC appearance by the band Rolling Quartz. The band had embarked on their North American tour from their native South Korea. Since I had never seen the band before as well, the adventure to a new space for me made the whole thing more interesting to me. Now I travel via the MTA, and from Bay Ridge this event space is a bit of a hike. It's the R train to the N to the 7 to a fairly decent walk. Those who are driving or taking an Uber might have a little better trek experience than I did but that being said once I made it past the famed Unisphere and over to New York State Pavilion, it was time to go into the Queens Theatre. When I arrived there were already about 100 attendees lined up because the band was doing all sorts of VIP things with them. A cool part of the agenda for sure. Inside the theatre is a spacious lobby area with seating all around near the windows. There are concessions there but I only saw drinks being sold when I looked. There was a small merchandise table for the band set up and I imagine that when other shows happen here this will be their space as well. Right off the bat I connected to a complimentary WiFi signal which was good but seemed to go on and off during the course of the performance. Once I was in the actual performance space I was quite impressed. The stage is sizable which was great because this was a five member band with a full backline and the seats were oh so comfortable. Yes this was a Rock Show and people would likely be standing throughout the performance but when it was time to sit you could do so in comfort. I positioned myself in the eighth or so row on the aisle since I needed to shoot photographs and I was happy to report that there were no bad sightlines in the theater. The sound was also clear and impressive which was partially a testimony to the bands team on the tour. While I didn't get to explore the venue all that much outside of the show, I did see one of the spacious side rooms which I guess they do talks in or smaller events. The band has set up their meet and greets there so it was in and out in terms of time to examine. There was a complimentary WiFi that I did find to be spotty at times but I feel this was based on the amount of people choosing to live stream the show. There were obviously restrooms and while I can only speak for the men's facility it was quite clean which is always a pleasant find. Overall this was a great experience for me but I cannot fathom when and if I might make a return based on the logistics and scarcity of what most interests me happening here. I will be keeping tabs on their calendar for good measure just in case and maybe some other localized Hard Rock bands can look into it or even local promoters who wish to do something that is no too crazy.

We had a hard time finding parking as the show was about to start and the park is always busy. There were two small lots nearby that were full. Upon entering check in was easy. They had a small concession stand. The seating was great with no obstructed views. The play itself was kid friendly and told the meaning and traditions of the special day. It was very informative and entertaining. I enjoyed the different styles of dances performed, the colorful outfits, the creative scenery (which was simple but effective). I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to visiting again.
