I have been seeing their tent in GSP parking lot for 10 years. Finally we got a chance to visit. I love it. I don't know how they do what they do. It's years of dedication and practice. I was amazed by the choreography, the singers, all the balance on the wires, diabolo, acrobats etc. Most performance have no mats or safety nets at the bottom. Couple girls had wire attached but any slip and fall, they all would be seriously injured. Various of performances throughout 2 hours. Short intermission in between. Ok to take pictures or film. Porta potty outside if you really need it for bathroom. They sell drinks and snacks. Photo ops with performers ($20 per photo). It's money money money but it's a good memory for kids and even for adults. read more

I caught the opening night performance for my town and boy did I have a great time. The show ran about an hour and 45 minutes including an intermission and was a mixture of variety acts and cover songs that were done really well. Everyone did an awesome job but I have to say that the live band was outstanding and a nice touch that I've never seen in other traveling circus acts. Overall everything was very clean, well organized and entertaining. Would like to see concessions pricing listed somewhere as sticker shock on a small popcorn caught me off guard. read more

Circus Vazquez planted their iconic tent in the parking lot of GSP mall. We decided to go to one of the shows as family event. They had multiple shows available through out the day. We picked Sunday 1 pm show and got seats on 3rd row (very close to the stage) for decent price. While researching, multiple discount codes appeared offering variety of sale. Once we entered the tent, there were two photoshoot spots with the performers. Each photo was $15 that they bring to your seat later where you can decide to buy or not. The concession area had pop corn, hot dogs, cotton candy, soda, water, candies, nachos. Prices were similar to movie theater, giant bag of popcorn was $14, large soda cup was $7.50, and cotton candy was $9. The show began with a clown cheering up the crowd. All the performers walked out for the intro section. After that, there were 9 different performances in the order of: Cyr Wheel, Tightwire, Hair Hang, Risley Act (foot juggling), Aerial Straps, High Wire Troupe, Unicycle Adagio, Diabolo. The clown kept the crowd going and performed many solo acts in between each of the performances, including crowd interactions. His comic bits were cracking up the kids so much. I liked most of the acts as they required incredible skills, precision and hard work. More than entertainment, it's my appreciation for the art these artists had demotivated on the stage. There was a 20 minute interval after the 5th act, an hour into the show. During the interval, there was another photoshoot opportunity with inflated elephant, for $20. At the very end, all the performers came out again to bid farewell to the crowd. Mr. Vazquez himself came out to thank everyone. The 2 hours in the tent passed by pretty quickly. THE GOOD ---------------- + Entertaining and an OK variety of different acts. + The big tent that they use has a pretty cool, unique design and is easily visible from ANYWHERE + Circus show runs for about 2 hours, with a 15 minute intermission, which is perfect for kids. + For the Paramus location, where it's held at the Westfield Garden State Plaza mall parking lot, there is PLENTY of parking in the lot. + There are PLENTY of promo codes available to get discounted tickets for the shows. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Not as good as the Big Apple Circus. ---- There weren't as many acts as we've seen from other circuses. Some acts involved the same performers. ---- No trapeze act, no animals involved in any acts. ---- Everything felt like a money grab, especially the photo ops. They will even find you in your seats, to see if you want to make a purchase of photos you have taken. MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Chistirrin the clown, who basically moves the show along with his own act, was just OK. He had his moments, but also fell flat with the crowd a few times. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Watched a Saturday, 4 PM show at the Westfield Garden State Plaza mall and I was surprised at how many people actually attended. The show was about 2/3 full. Despite the negatives I listed, major kudos to the performers as you can still see the effort that they put into their acts and, if this is a 1st circus experience, it still is worth the relatively inexpensive entry. read more

Circus Vazquez was the highlight of my weekend. I went with a friend and it was very entertaining. The circus tent was very nice not what I expected to be honest but everything was in order the concession stand was smooth long lines but it was quick . Ushers escorted you to your seat. Porter johns were clean . The performers and performance was fantastic . If they're in your town or the town over, I recommend that you go check them out. You won't be disappointed, funny and entertaining. read more

We went to the show today, and there was a very offensive, racist part of the show where the clown was performing racist stereotypes of Asians: putting on a sushi chef headband, flinging nunchucks, and making Ching-Chong sounds while pretending to do karate moves. They even did the crane from the movie "The Karate Kid" I looked around at the Asians in the audience growing more uncomfortable and offended as the audience laughed. This skit was posted to their Instagram page. I wrote to them today and they replied quickly stating they would address this immediately. For anyone going to this show through December 15, 2024, I would be curious to know if they removed this bit from the show as they stated. Very disappointed to have my child see racism at a family show. read more

Came here with a date because recently I've become interested in circuses. I saw ads for this and was able to get a discount. The circus wasn't too surprising. The predictable acts came on but they were all phenomenal even when they messed up. The highlight for me was the clown and music. They played with a live band and put on great choreography. The clown was absolutely hilarious and had to be the star of the show. He was able to work the crowd and kept us involved while we waited for the next act. Only complaint is expensive concessions. The churros are $5 and the funnel cake is $10. They're pretty good though if you opt to treat yourself. My advise is to not come before doors open. Unfortunately there isn't anything to do in the area to pass the time. My other knock against this place was that there was no trapeze act. Despite these flaws, I had a great time and recommend this place to anyone who is interested in seeing a good show. Great music, comedy, and acts! read more

Circus is here in town til 12/12/21. We went on a Friday 7:30 pm show. Tickets range from $25-$50. We got tickets at a discounted price at Goldstar weeks ago. Parking is $15. Inside the big tent was nice and warm since it's heated. Concessions available with expected pricier range. We got funnel cake $8 and soda $6. Flashing sword was $17. Showed ended at 9:30 pm. Intermission was 20 min with photo op at the stage, $20 each photo. Awesome performers and clown performance was funny. Kids enjoyed very much. No animal performance. Will attend again when it returns next Year. read more

OMG! This is one of the best circus shows we have ever seen. The program was about 2.5 hours with a 15 minutes intermission in between. They were showing off so many different tricks and they kept surprising my kids with those. The tricks they played required years of practices and nothing was easy. The performers were very skillful and they did awesome! The two jokers were very entertaining and they knew exactly how to catch the kids' attention. There was no one seconds my kids complained boring about the show. Definitely love it and so glad we decided to go. read more

Performances were great with exception of the clown. Honestly none of what the clown did was funny and just felt like filler to use as much time as possible. Also what I noticed was that in general the acts seem very repetitive and just the same thing over and over and over. Not discrediting what they are doing is not amazing like spinning in the air or doing unicycle jumps but if the same thing repeats 10 times it kinda feels odd. Overall I don't regret going here but I wouldn't come back or highly recommend it especially at the high price point of 80 dollars for front row tickets and what I got. If the ticket was 40 dollars per person I would understand but I was expecting a LOT more for that price. Eh. read more

A wonderful, old-fashioned circus...in the best possible sense. Great to see families out together instead of front of their individual computer or phone screens. The acts are truly impressive, the clowns are actually funny and the the daredevils perform some really breathtaking stunts. We didn't know what to expect but this is a great evening of entertainment that exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended. read more
