Beware of Poor Service at Lancaster Performing Arts Center:…read more I had an unsettling experience with an older blonde employee wearing glasses at the ticket checkpoint. After scanning my ticket, she immediately forgot and demanded to see it again, then abruptly yelled at me to stop as if I hadn't gone through proper procedures. When I reminded her that she had just scanned my ticket, she simply said, "Oh," without any apology or acknowledgment of her mistake. Her poor memory and lack of professionalism raise concerns about whether she should be in this role--or if her behavior was influenced by bias. Either way, the staff should be trained to communicate more effectively and treat all guests with respect.

We were greeted by Sharona the bartender, who gave us a grand tour. We felt so welcome. The lodge is beautiful. We got a discount on our first round, and also got a round on the house. I played some tunes on the jukebox. Id love to come sing karaoke on that wonderful stage. We had already eaten, but the breakfast menu was so affordable and looked great. Next time we are out in this direction, we will definitely come for karaoke and also eat breakfast.

My granddaughter went here for close to a year. The staff is nice but it seemed like she did the…read moresame dance routine for the whole year, and didn't seem to learn anything. Her performace was held at the Palmdale Performing Arts Studio. They wouldn't allow me to take the roses I bought for her, in to the theater, so I had to hand them over to a woman. When I came out, she put all the flowers on the counter, and the ones I bought were stolen. My granddaughter only did one recital in the year she participated. She enjoyed the class at first, but got bored, eventually, doing the same routine each week. The building is very old and there are water marks on the ceiling tiles. There is not a lot of parking, only street parking or in dirt. Good for beginners and first timers.

Excellent classes and services- helpful teachers, and great times for being open…read more There have been new classes opening up, and through my time being with them and doing their classes, they've provided excellent customer service and a great atmosphere for multiple events- such as for doing tabletop board games, painting miniature pieces for the boardgames or for art, workshop for building items used in Live Action RolePlay events, and soon they're planning on taking extra days to take classmates on "field trips" to various gaming and social areas for swordfighting and performing stage acts and games for both adults and kids alike. I do wish there were more people going to these classes, however, as having minimal people doesn't exactly put out all the fun and excitement that could be had- the more there can be with us, the more events that can be done, and even more field trips that can be attained! I go here often, and I try to recommend it to anyone who's in acting, likes tabletop gaming, or is looking for something new to do rather than sit at home on friday nights or saturday nights, or any other weekday night available.

What would happen if a 7 year old ran away from home to be independent? Obviously the demon clowns…read morewould ruin their life until they asked for god's help. This "Hell House" is good old fashioned fun that wraps up with a lesson and a prayer. Certainly not as graphic or high production as some, but I imagine still effective. I appreciated that there was no real life footage in this one or taboo topics (aside from quickly addressing choosing gender). Obviously most people can agree a 7 year old shouldn't be living on their own so not an offensive choice for an outreach program. I wish this were just a little more organized. We had too many in the group so we struggled to comfortably see the scenes. It felt like the narrator character was yelling at us for not knowing where to stand but he also might have been in pain from getting whacked by a door when an actor flung it open at him. I didn't feel especially safe with the proximity of the actors jumping around and swinging their limbs a little too close in the intense strobe lights and a few times shielded my face with my arms for fear of being accidentally hit like the narrator was at the beginning during the rules. Overall if you want to support a local god group, this is a fun event. I drove up from the Los Angeles area and unfortunately none of the Halloween attractions in this area compare to the events we are used to but if you're already in the area looking for something to do this has a very fun small town feeling.

My friends and I visited AV Haunted House October 29th, 2021 and had a pretty good time! As far as…read morehaunted houses go, this is pretty good!! All the scare actors seemed really involved and excited to scare us! Everyone was generally really nice and it's free, so you can't complain about that. The only warning I do give is that we waited for a long time (about 2 hours) so just be aware you'll be stood for a while. This event is run by a church so the plot line did revolve around how everyone is infected with sin which can maybe be triggering if you have religious trauma. Along with this, we were given a small sermon at the end and asked if we would repeat the prayer with the man at the end. Only one person ended up repeating after him and my friends and I came to the conclusion that she wasn't actually in the group with us during the haunt, meaning she was probably planted there in case no one prayed along. Now, that's fine, I don't care. But, she was giving us only the HARSHEST of glares. Religious guilt is very real. The only two other warnings I can think of is that strobe lights are used HEAVILY throughout the maze so if you are epileptic and triggered by flashing lights, skip this one. As the theme this year, everyone is infected by sin therefore God is punishing us-- they showed us a small movie before the maze which included clips of not only natural disasters, but the 9/11 tragedy. Thankfully none of my friend group is triggered by 9/11 imagery but it really caught us off guard. Overall, the maze itself was really great. It was free, people were kind (besides the glaring lady), and the scare actors seemed to be enjoying themselves. Just please be aware of what you're getting into before you do end up going! Stay safe and have a great Halloween!
