Wow was I surprised! I had a long morning at work so I skipped breakfast. I wanted to eat somewhere different from the usual places. I only have 30 mins to get lunch so my choices are usually limited. Today I wanted to eat in a different place. I probably drive by this place everyday but for whatever reason I never stop to check it out. Maybe it was the run down down look of the building, but today I had that "Yolo" mind set and decided to go in.lol My first impression was wtf? Yes, it's a smoking bar that was not very well lit and the furniture was really old and out dated. They have pool tables and a really long bar. Not much of a dinning area. So I decided to get food to go. I ordered the chicken fajita and 20 wings for my co-workers. I was amazed by how good everything was. The vegetables on my fajita were surprisingly fresh and the flavors were out of this world! I really didn't expect this at all. I will never judge another restaurant by the appearance. I should have known when they stopped having onion rings on the menu (what sports bar doesn't have onion rings on the menu?!) that they are going into the craper and well, now they don't have NFL Sunday Ticket. Great local bar. It was Monday night and we couldn't find a place to grab a drink. My friend was only in town for the night and we wanted to catch up. She is a smoker so this was a perfect. The bartender was amazing. We wanted a specific shot. She wasn't sure how to make it; however, she looked it up and figured it out right away. As a non smoker, I did not mind this bar. The must have an amazing ventilation system. They offer some food and have pool tables, dart boards, and a few gambling machines. This was definitely a find and would absolutely go back. read more

The best wings in town! Ask for Hot/BBQ mix or the Jim Bob dry rub! You will not find better blue cheese on this planet!!! Well, you might - but this is literally the best blue cheese I have ever had! The bartenders are always friendly and helpful. Also, the prices are affordable. The only problem I have with this place is the smoke. When you open the door you can almost see the cloud of smoke "puff" out. If you are not a smoker, then actually sitting in this bar is unbearable! When you leave you will smell like an ashtray. I have resorted to ordering for pick-up... It's a bar, with bar food and a bar crowd! It's a great spot for cheap and strong drinks! Just know they allow smoking indoors which means you will smell like cigarette smoke! Honestly I need to drink in dart bars more often. SO much cheaper than regular bars. Circus is located back in a somewhat industrial looking plaza off of Cypress Creek. I stopped in because my coworkers have a dart team and were playing there. I had a few cocktails elsewhere and figured I would keep the night going a drink or two longer. I was greeted by the bartender and ordered a Michelob Ultra and handed her my card. She informed me that there was a $15 credit card minimum at which point I asked her how much the beer was, figuring I'd order one or two more and I'd be set. Well, beers were only $3 and I knew I would not be getting five of them, so I decided it just made sense to order shots for everyone. Two Patron and three Jack Daniels shots later my bill was still only about $40 . You can easily spend that on three drinks at those fancy craft cocktail bars (or two drinks in Miami). Obviously though, this is a completely different atmosphere. This particular night the bar was mostly dart players, a few different teams, and although it's not necessarily a high class crowd everyone was fun and friendly. They serve food here, a pretty decent sized bar menu, and although I haven't tried any of it the reviews are good, and everyone in my group said they find it to be a pretty good meal for a dive bar. One major downside here is that they do allow smoking; however, either not many of their patrons actually smoke, or they have a great ventilation system, because I wasn't bothered by it, and I didn't really smell it on my clothes when I got home. Love this place. Let me preface with this: THIS IS NOT A CLUB. I've heard too many people crying about the atmosphere, when it is a sports bar, and that is a normal atmosphere. Now, that being said, on to the review. For starters, this place is smoker friendly (smoking inside OK), so if you're not into that, don't hang out by the pool tables or the dartboard. The food here is excellent, but the kitchen is only open till 11pm (I think, don't quote me on that time). The drinks are well made and reasonably priced. Decent beer selection. The bartenders are so sweet and exactly what a bartender should be. Good at making your drink, better at listening and being friendly. After about a minute of speaking with "Shelly" (Name changed for anonymity. Don't think it matters, but better safe than sorry) We were showing each other out tattoos and badmouthing our ex boyfriends. And she did this with everyone she tended. The tenders are efficient and genuine. There are several TV's showing the major sports games that are happening at the time. There's also a jukebox and a dartboard. There are a few tables, but mostly a long bar and a pool table area. Bathrooms are kinda cramped, but it's a small price to pay for such a fun place. Very back home feel.
