Heather saw us 2x before the big day: final venue walk through and our rehearsal day. She was super organized during those 2 days and helped guide us with our venue and corral our entire wedding party during the rehearsal. Heather also provided us with a day-of timeline, even for the hours she was not physically at the venue. On the wedding day, she arrived with Annaleise (team member) around 3pm and immediately got to work with the decor set up before our 6pm ceremony. All we had to do was hand over our room key and off they went! To be honest, we were so busy that day that if we didn't have Heather helping us out, I'm not sure how we could've accomplished what we needed to do. No amount of uncles and aunties could've done what WTW did in the same amount of time hah. Plus we had a cocktail hour "flip" during our ceremony, so having WTW help us during that time was crucial. At the end of the night, all our items were returned to vendors or packed away in the boxes we brought them in and stored in our room. During the month of, WTW used Google's suite to keep everything organized and documented, which I found very helpful since its a program that I am familiar with (vs learning a new program). And Heather also provides some rentals if you want to add more to your decor, which was also VERY helpful when we needed more candles and stands. Heather is professional, calm, and assertive. She knows what needs to be done to help make your day run smoothly and is a team player with the vendors and venue. For reference, our wedding was in Riverside, a church ceremony, 8 people in the wedding party, 120 guests, ~10 vendors, plated meals, and a hotel venue reception. We had a couple funky additions in the night which made the reception feel nontraditional, but Heather handled them like it was normal. We haven't received official pictures yet, but when we do, I hope to update this review so any new potential clients can see her magic. Thanks again!!

THANK YOU BONNIE & TEAM FOR THE BEST WEDDING VENUE EVER!! I will start this review off by saying…read morethat I photograph weddings, so having a gorgeous scenic spot to marry my boyfriend/fiancé of 11 years was the #1 on our list and The Pond (+ the overcast weather haha) DELIVERED. And the #2 thing on the list was having a variety of backdrops to photograph against which we also found here no question. We first toured The Pond and met with Bonnie (the owner) back in September 2022. We had already toured 5 other venues and this ended up being our second to last tour and last day of touring. The second I stepped on the premise I knew we had found our place. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, breathtaking, and well taken care of. The pond is also full of bright koi fish and other cute little friends like ducks walk around. I felt like we were already late in booking a 2023 date, but to our luck they had May 5, 2023 open which was also 11th anniversary! Easy and done. This hidden gem venue has charm and is the most unique and scenic venue I've ever been to. The main selling points for us in addition to the views were: 1. Full Bridal and Groom houses to relax and get ready in. We each had 8 bridesmaids and groomsmen + our family so it was very important to us that we could find a place that could accommodate our large party to get ready in. They also have separate parking for the wedding party right next to the Bridal/Groom houses and another larger parking lot for guests which is also free for them 2. Fun and unique areas for all of our guests to spread out and explore. Including the gazebo overlooking the pond, fire pit (for s'mores), and cove underneath the gazebo to experience a waterfall. There was also a ton of space for all our vendors to set up including a Boba Table and Photobooth 3. Affordable price that included 1 hour rehearsal the day before, 10 hours on the premise for the wedding, and our package also included the DJ and Bartender team. This was great because those vendors are already used to working with Bonnie's team and DJ Richie killed our lighting throughout the venue as well! They also set up heat lamps for us when it got colder at night 4. DIY everything! I have been looking forward to planning my wedding my whole life and had a lot of decoration and vendor ideas. Bonnie and our Coordinator team (YourDayYourWay) helped make all our ideas and plans come to life and were gracious about accommodating everything we asked for including keeping the sails down in the ceremony space for our photos, letting us do special cups for boba, and letting us choose our catering (5 Elementos Food Truck). The whole event was 100% customized by us and this was so cool since I know a lot of venues have strict rules they never bend. And for anyone who may be deterred reading this because they don't want to DIY everything, I promise the venue still looks great just as it is even without all the extra stuff. Seriously! 5. They allow sparkler exits! Not many venues in CA allow this and I was stoked they had the perfect spot for it If you happen to stumble upon my review and are wondering if you should book The Pond for your next event/wedding, just do it! :D

The staff's expertise was truly top-notch--they were accommodating, professional, and made the entire night run seamlessly. I would highly recommend The Pond for an awesome experience for any type of event.

I especially loved the small, meaningful touches -- like how she handed my husband and me a drink the moment we walked down the aisle. I hired them about 8 months prior to my wedding and they were there every step of the way, with monthly meetings to keep me on track of what I needed to do, up until the month prior where the girls took over and ran with it all. I had the utmost confidence in them and was able to relax and enjoy the last month before my wedding, which can be a stressful time. My wedding consisted of a beautiful venue in Joshua Tree that was minimal with amenities/services included, so I had to hire just about everyone - food, cake, rentals, dj, servers, bartenders, flowers, etc! Cross + Swan did an excellent job of coordinating all of the vendors and keeping them on schedule. I had numerous guests at my wedding come up to me and tell me that my planners were the stars that day, nailing every detail and keeping the wedding going at a good pace with the timeline and also keeping everyone happy & worry free. Jacqui was amazing with my vendors the day of the wedding & also made the most beautiful signage for an extra fee for me (welcome signs, seating chart, bar & cake menus). Sydney was great with going the extra mile and driving me, my husband and photographer out into Joshua Tree National Park to capture some amazing photos after our ceremony. When you meet with wedding planners and they stress the importance of the investment in a planner, believe them - it's SO TRUE. They made my wedding day one to remember - and one that was truly stress-free and the best days of my life. HIGHLY recommend Cross + Swan.

But then I found Nancy! She makes hands down the most beautiful and elegant invitations! You can look through her books and find something you like, or change details on something he has already done, or start from scratch. She can do any style, any color, any paper, any ribbon accent, add any embellishment you want, she hand draws motifs, she can do it all! And she sends them to someone she knows if you want raised printing or the recessed printing. And she will also be your calligrapher if you do not want to address your invitations. And that's not all she does. She can do anything paper related like save the dates, place cards, programs, etc. I'm only having her do invitations but I've seen examples for the other stuff. Nancy is a very sweet and patient woman. She really listens to what you are looking for. Just tell her your budget and see what magic she can work for you. I shopped around many places for invitations and Nancy was the only vendor who did not make it feel like just another business deal. She is really passionate about what she does. Moreover, she was on time, the finished product was PERFECT, and I got endless positive comments from my guests on the invitations. She also did my wedding programs and seating cards. What I liked the most about Nancy was that she did not nickel and dime me--- some places would say "That's 50 cents extra per rhinestone and 1 dollar extra for glossy this or that"--- Nancy did none of that. She truly enjoys here job and it shows. I recommend Nancy to anyone I know is planning a wedding! On a side note: I read the 1 star review below and should comment that Nancy does not manage the wedding boutique part of the shop (she only does the invitations side of t hings) -- But as I understand it, the wedding gown proceeds from this shop all go to charity - so it is not your standard David's Bridal boutique and cannot be judged by the same standards.

We hired Dani for the following: Catering, Bartending, and Wedding Coordinator…read more The food was great at the tasting and tasted great on the wedding day. However, we were extremely disappointed and feel lied to at parts the day of. The food seemed rushed as it was served, some guests had tiny portions compared to others, but again, the food did taste great. Several guests complained about the bartending, that Dani's husband was rude, though I didn't experience this myself so may have just been the guests being picky. The things that went great: *Set Up: Each table looked exactly as we wanted them to, decorations were on point and we loved how it all looked as we envisioned. *Food: Food tasted amazing, would definitely hire again for catering, tasted exactly like the tastings and in some ways better on the day of. The real issues: Dani did not have a team of people as promised, nor did she communicate this until a few days prior to the wedding date but guaranteed at least 3 people. Instead, with no communication prior to, arrived with only herself and husband. This would not have been a problem if it was not as chaotic as it turned out to be the day of. Don't get me wrong, I felt bad for Dani having to juggle so much, but if she couldn't handle all the workload then she should have told us her limits, and we could have taken something off the plate like either the bartending or coordinating. issues: *Coordinating: Dani was MIA when it came to ushering people to the ceremony, our venue workers had to help with this. The timing of the music was crucial to know when everyone went up, our DJ had to take this over, we didn't even know where Dani was during this time. Dani was also supposed to que the bride when to enter, again our venue staff had to help with this because Dani was still missing. *Cake: **disclosure, Dani did not make the cake, we hired another vendor to make it** Dani (as the coordinator) placed the cake outside along with the cupcakes that were meant to be for the guests. THEN WENT MIA AGAIN. So instead of everyone watching us cut the cake and then enjoying cupcakes, we were blindsided waiting for Dani to notify us of the time to go and that it was cake time, so guests went and just got cake for themselves since nobody announced or said what they were for. So we rushed over, and had to ask our photographers to help us with the cake cutting, getting us utensils, and setting up the scene since we we now had a 90% empty table since all cupcakes were gone because the guests had no clue they were meant to be part of the cake event. No announcements were made, and no guests present for the cake cutting. *Reception Layout: Months prior to the wedding day, we were asked and provided a picture of the layout of each table, along with each guest for those tables. We were asked for this again a week prior to the wedding, so that's two times we provided the reception layout by table and guest per table. The day of, half the tables were right, half were wrong. The reason this was such a big issue is the bride's close family was placed at the back, instead of friends. So now all pictures and videos of the reception have none of her family members present next to us and she cannot get over this and has cried for days over this fact. This was the greatest issue that left us the most disappointed. *Staffing: a few weeks prior to the wedding we were told Dani's staff had some reasons they may not be there. But guaranteed at least 3 people to handle the work, instead it was only Dani and her husband. Her husband manned the bar, and Dani everything else. So in the last 3 hours of the reception Dani had to rush to make desserts which left her MIA as mentioned earlier, and again, we do feel bad for the work she was putting in, we understand she was trying to get everything done, but this resulted in the best man acting as a 3rd worker instead of being able to enjoy the wedding. The best man and the groom had to run around the entire lead up to the ceremony. We wish we would have known this before booking the coordination, it was probably the one thing Dani could not handle that she could have told us in advance about. Overall: Would definitely hire for catering again, bartending also but didn't get to experience fist hand since people brought us drinks, but they did taste great just not as strong as maybe some people would like. Dani was very friendly, and leading up had us feeling confident, but staffing issues and an overwhelming workload left us feeling very disappointed afterward and the bride heartbroken at parts of the wedding. Dani seems like a great person, but hopefully in the future will let people know when there's too much on her plate.

Our wedding at Grand Tradition Garden & Estate on June 15, 2025. We hired Dani (Founder & Chief…read moreMagic Maker - Unicorn Wings & Amazing Things) as our wedding planner five months before our big day. At first, she radiated enthusiasm and seemed utterly in control--often ready to follow up on tasks or remind us of what needed doing. But once the contract was signed and our deposit cashed, the sheen wore off, revealing every flaw in brutal clarity. 1. Communication Meltdown * Tasks we entrusted to her vanished into thin air--no shared timeline, no meeting notes, no task tracker. * When I asked whether she documentation of all the tasks during our conversation, she snapped. Phone calls and texts were banned; we were informed that the meeting with her only through email & in her convenient schedule. With only four months left, we felt trapped in a one-sided arrangement. 2. Cake Con Artist * Upon hearing we were cake-shopping, Dani instantly offered her "many years" of cake experience--but had zero proof: no portfolio, no samples, not even a photo from a friend's wedding. * She demanded we source inspiration images--and then swore blind she could replicate every last detail. Blind faith in an unvetted baker was our first regret flag we refused to heed. 3. Catering Catastrophe * We arrived at her makeshift "tasting" alone--no staff, no uniformed servers, just Dani mumbling about her mom, sisters, husband, and an imaginary team back home. * The "finger foods" she presented were lifeless, sloppy, and tasted like cheap cafeteria scraps. We had to cut her loose on the spot--thankfully, before our reception turned into a gastronomic horror show. 4. Floral Fiasco * Again, no portfolio--just hollow promises. We hesitated, scarred by the tasting, but hoped her floral skills might redeem her. * On our wedding day, what arrived were wilted, scrawny arrangements that couldn't have been further from our lush inspiration boards. Petal-strewn centerpieces looked more like forgotten store flowers than bespoke creations. 5. The Phantom Team * She lied about having a full support crew--mom, sisters, husband, & "other staff"--to handle planning, cake, flowers, and more. * When my husband pressed her for numbers of people to take care all these tasks on the wedding day, she admitted it was only her... and her husband, who "helps" but never actually plans. Suddenly, our "Chief Magic Maker" was a one-woman show with zero backup. Even our wedding schedule board inspiration picture, she turned it into messy handwritten on the board with price tag attached. My husband called her and pointed it out. She said that she forgot to take off the price tag. 6. The Day of Reckoning * Every single service--planning, cake, cupcakes, food, flowers--collapsed under the weight of Dani's empty assurances. As Dani tried to juggle every aspect of our wedding--from planning to cake to flowers--but in the end was brilliant at none. As the saying goes, 'It's better to master one thing than dabble in many and excel at nothing. * My husband's pre-entry advice, "Brace yourself," hung in the air like a warning siren. When I stepped into the venue, my heart sank as reality eclipsed any nightmare I'd imagined. There were no excuses, no apologies--just hollow "magic" that never materialized. In hindsight, our decision to rely on a single planner for multiple services was driven by hope and convenience. On the day of our wedding, however, what we received left us both disheartened and frustrated. This was meant to be a joyful, unforgettable moment in our lives--but instead, we were faced with multiple failures in service and presentation. We share our experience not out of malice, but in the hope that it helps future couples choose with greater clarity and confidence. A Costly Lesson for Other Couples Our wedding day was meant to be a celebration of love, not an exercise in damage control. We poured our trust, time, and money into someone who mastered only one thing: setting us up to fail. We'll be posting side-by-side photos of our original requests and Dani's actual deliverables so future brides and grooms can see the truth and ask the tough questions long before saying "I do." This is my "How Future Couples Can Avoid the Same Mistakes" * Insist on a Detailed Timeline & Written Deliverables Don't rely on verbal promises. Request a task tracker or shared project plan with deadlines with your wedding planner. * Require Portfolios & References Before agreeing to services (wedding planner, cake, flowers, catering,...), demand past work samples, client testimonials, and taste tests. * Maintain Vendor Redundancy If one planner is providing multiple services, still have backup suitors for cake, flowers, and catering. It avoids single-point failures. * Set Regular Checkpoints Schedule weekly (or bi-weekly) video calls where the planner shares progress, even if it's just a 15-minute. * Hold Deposits in Escrow Consider timed payments tied to milestone approvals
