First off the lady at the counter attitude is horrible and she dont need to be in customer service…read more I waited a week for my vehicle kept calling when they said it was gonna be a day. I finally talked to the lady and she said they haven't gotten around to look at it . I went up there they were all gone. I called early the next morning and she claim they looked at it which I know they didn't. Just the entire experience was horrible .Then the witch gave me a estimate for almost $7000 for a transmission which I told her that is what I needed. I will never go back there or recommend this place to anyone.

McKinney's auto store transmission, this exact location is the worst place I have ever dealt with…read morein my entire life. I took my truck there for diagnostics after I had a mechanic inspected before I took it to them just to see how honest McKinney auto store was going to be with the diagnostic inspection they conduct and they told me one item needed to be replaced in order to get my truck running same as the other mechanic but the part they said I needed to replace I had it already, but it was the wrong part number and it did not fit my truck so they told me they can order a part from one of their distributors so they ordered the part and while we was waiting for that part i was told that I needed they two more parts needed to be replaced and they can order that from the same distributor. So those two parts came in, but I was informed that the first part they ordered is on back order and they had no idea how long it will be retrieval through there source and it was up to me to locate that part and try to get that in so the truck can get fixed and they were going to cancel their order since the place that they went to said the part is on backorder. So that's what we agreed to do. So my part came in and the part that they ordered still came in and they put that on the vehicle But did not let me know that they didn't cancel the order or that it came in They still let me purchase the order. So the truck still was not running they sad but they never called me after they put it on the vehicle and said that the part had came in, but they did not inform me that they kept the order open or that the part came in and were demanding payment, even though they told me tthwy cancelled there and to order that part myself, and I used that money that I was gonna pay them for the parts to pay in order to give to them so they could fix it. So I asked him why didn't they tell me they kept the order open because if they would have I would not have spent the money I was gonna give them so they can order the part instead of me myself and me in a dilemma because they told me to and get my money back and then when I get my money I can pay for their services, but they were gonna charge me a holding fee to hold my truck at location and it wouldn't have been in a held state but if they would have informed me that they kept their order open I would have not made them So then the issue became with the parts told me about the vehicle was still not responsive, and that I needed a new transmission, but because of the hassle the nonprofessional of their entire front office representatives, I decided not to go through with their services to replace my transmission Because nothing was wrong with the transmission. At first my truck was still drivable after I had the accident and I drove the vehicle to my house right after the accident And I also had a diagnostics done before I took it to McKinney's and the mechanic told me that I just needed one part but after I took it to McKinney's now I two more parts and and a new transmission and a vehicle was not drivable. So once I discussed all of these issues with the owner And the representative, they threaten me that since I didn't have the money back from the place, I ordered apart from that they told me to order the part that they were gonna charge me a holding fee and after we had a huge disagreement over the phone and I told them as soon as I get the money back into my account, I will pay them, but they will not be servicing my vehicle again. Immediately after I told my vehicle back home out of their shop. I noticed that my right handle passenger side was damaged and broken, and the door had a dent in it with a crack. I also noticed that my rear driver side door handle came off when I tried to open it and I also noticed that my truck is uneven that my right side lumps down as my left side remains the right height for my truck and I also noticed that the passenger side window roll down, but it would not come back up and now my transmission does not work and it is undrivable. McKinney'sdefinitely sabotage my truck purposely giving me inaccurate information that I needed to fix my truck. If you value the hard work it takes for you to earn money and you value your vehicle. I pray you never take it to any of McKinney's auto shops because they will sabotage your vehicle to make you spend more of your hard earned money so they can feel their pockets with your money because of greed, no matter what position it puts you in. What made it even worse that through all this, my daughter had passed away in the military within the same timeframe, and they were running me through all kinds of worst case situations by sabotaging my vehicle, putting more stress on me to deal with that and emotionally recover from my daughter's passing which she was only 20 years old. This shop is the worst shop ever and has the worst kind of character to deal with of your hardship.

The shop manager at Crawfordsville store has been helpful, but the poor customer service fall on DM's, and whomever else, above him. Been a customer of El Camino (Georgetown Road) for a few years. They have great hours and service…read morehad always been top-notch. They always treated me fairly and did not try to rip off customers like other tire places. I had (notice the use of past tense) such positive experiences there that I recommended the store to several other people. Today that all changed...dramatically. I noticed one of my tires was leaking so I went to the shop at about 3:15. I got in right away. I was told that I actually needed two front tires. I agreed to that as well as an alignment and to have the tires balanced. New tires got mounted pretty quickly. Then a worker came and got my keys (actually there was already another set in the car) to do the alignment. Then I waited and waited and waited. Numerous people came in the store, had their vehicle serviced and left. Not me though. I waited, waited and waited some more. Very little communication from the El Camino staff. When I asked what was taking so long, I was told there were people ahead of me and they were "working on it." Then I waited, waited and waited some more. It got to the point that I was virtually the only one left in the waiting room. The staff had to know I was getting upset, yet they did ZERO to address my frustration. Finally, at almost 6 pm, when I had been there nearly 3 hours, I went to the desk and demanded my car back, that I would just pay for whatever work was done, and leave. That apparently sparked them to actually finish the work. I finally got the keys back 10 minutes later. I paid the bill and left. I understand that maybe the work on my vehicle "fell through the cracks" or for some reason was taking longer than expected. That happens in this line of business. But there is no excuse for the lack of communication and the unwillingness to treat a longtime customer without even a modicum of respect. They apparently didn't value my business or care that after such a poor experience I would be unlikely to ever come back and would certainly not recommend it to my friends. I would not recommend this place after what I experienced today.

My son had a slow tire leak and paid $25 to have it repaired here. He was told the issue was fixed,…read morebut just two days later the tire was completely flat. He ended up taking the car to Walmart, where they were able to properly repair the tire. When he contacted El Camino to request a refund for the unsuccessful repair, they refused. That experience was disappointing and concerning, especially since tire repairs directly affect safety. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this business for tire repairs. Instead, I suggest Discount Tire or Belle Tire. They offer free tire repairs when possible and stand behind their work.
