Flags were removed so no one would touch them during play, carts were cleaned before every use, and tee times were spaced out enough that we didn't have to worry about people lining up. Random cream flush handle on white toilet. Light switches that look like they're from 1970s. Called front desk & says she can't move us & no option. Can't sleep w/slider open b/c of bugs. Time spent before the events while we walked around to the various barns seeing the horses while they were prepared for their performances was interesting. Staff was informative and friendly...the horses were patient with the preparations. The events were delightful to say the least. The horses were majestic, beautiful, powerful and amazing. When they trotted or ran past us it was like thunder. There was a safety barricade to stand behind and take pictures...perfect. A totally super experience. Everytime you go by the desk to enter or leave, they always say hello or have a nice day etc. The management here is top notch. The breakfast is also pretty good. Most places have on type of egg but this place has three! The egg white really made me happy. They also have the usual waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, potatoes, meat, coffee etc. The rooms are consistently clean. The ice machines always work. The lobby bathroom is safe and clean. The gym is decent size. There is plenty of parking. They have Tesla superchargers. I've never tried their indoor pool. The location is good- it's a quiet area. Right off the freeway. Close to a gas station. Uber Eats will deliver here. I've never had any issues at this hotel and I will stay here again.

For 4th of July weekend, we headed out of town and made a pit stop in Ocala…read more In Ocala, we chose to stay at SpringHill Suites Ocala mainly as I have good memories of another one of these locations (the breakfast in particular being great) and the fact being that I am a Marriott Bonvoy member. Throw in that we would be leaving 4th of July when most places are closed, and well, breakfast definitely was a deciding factor. At any rate, we checked in rather late and Darius attended us. He was efficient and personable, so no complaints there. We then went to our room, which was clean and spacious. It had a bed, a couch, a table, a mini fridge, a microwave, a bathroom - I mean, the better question is: what didn't it have? For the night we stayed, the room certainly exceeded my expectations. Not to mention that parking was a breeze. I will say though that the breakfast was good was not as good as the SpringHill Suites location we stayed in previously in Tampa (or was it Orlando?). I had really hoped they had more egg dishes, maybe a mini veggie quiche? This comment itself makes me realize I have been spoiled by this chain, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.
