You pay extra for children, but they don't really have anything extra for them except for the ping-pong table which you have to buy your own balls and also miniature golf which you have to pay for. But the pool was nice and clean and they did enjoy that. the pet area is not suitable for small dogs because they can get under the chain-link fence. The table was crooked and on an angle making it for uncomfortable seating. It is right next to an airport and sometimes the planes are very noisy upon takeoff or landing, but did not detract from our visit. The gift shop was standard. They did have a lot of T-shirts and clothing to select from but the food area could've been improved with more selection. It was a great place to watch the Fourth of July fireworks. They also have a very nice outdoor seating area just outside of the souvenir shop --registration office where there is a beautiful view of the lake however, the motorcoach park that is just below us had preferable seating, and a closed event which limited us to Not enjoying that area for a few hours on the Fourth of July

We were unable to enjoy the outdoors of our cabin at all. And when pulling out the hide a bed for our children we were quietly and secretly smashing spiders so they wouldn't see! It was terrible!!! We also had mice droppings on our cooler every night.

Any campground caught between an interstate and a rail line as they twine their way through a…read morenarrow river valley is going to be more than a little noisy, but this makes a very pleasant spot to stop if you're on your way through Montana and don't want to take the time to drive far from the big road. The tent sites stretch out along the river, so you can look at the sunlight on the water as you sip your morning drink and try to wake up. The sites are notched into the woods with patches of trees in between for privacy, and handy stacks of firewood appear here and there. And if you happened to bring twelve other people with you, the massive picnic table will seat them all.

We were en-route to a longer trip and used it for one night for exactly that purpose. It is a medium size campground with 27 sites. Some are large pull through sites that would accommodate bigger RVs like the site we chose, site #5. Each Site had a picnic table and fire ring. There are pit toilets and drinking water available. There are no hookups, no showers, no dump station. There is an area to hand launch small boats. We walked across the gravel bar area to the east and were able to sit in a more private area along the river shore. A nice spot to take a break from driving and cool off in the water. I wouldn't stay here for an extended vacation, but it served our purpose well.

I love little mom and pop general stores and camp stores and this one did not disappoint. The coffee was perfect. The entire campground is family run...it's owned by the grandparents, and the adult grandkids work there with them. (Plus one other person, I wish I could remember her name...she was great too.) In talking with the owner, Vern, I learned that they've started catering more to the long- term stay campers because the money is more consistent. So about half the full hook - up camp spots, plus the 2 cabins, are filled with permanent residents. They don't take reservations at all anymore, so if you want to just camp there for a short trip, it's first come, first served. There's just something about this place that feels amazing. I'm more of a hotel kind of girl, my boyfriend is the avid camper...and we were doing a combo of camping and hotel stays on this trip. But I actually opted to stay a SECOND night here INSTEAD of a nice hotel. I didn't want to leave! We hope to come back in the summer and bring the kids!

There are a lot of people living in trailers in this park but plenty of spots for travelers. The store has the basics, laundry area and lots of alcohol in a different back room. The only con is that there seems to be several folks drinking, quiet but they are visable . This trip we didn't camp but dumped for $5. Love the trees and grassy sites.
