The staff is what keeps me coming back. All the young ladies there are soooo friendly and helpful and are HARD WORKERS! They are always cleaning, stocking shelves AND they have to work the register. Multitasking at its finest. The mini marts prices are a bit higher, but it's a small business so occasionally I don't mind paying a bit extra for convenience. They have everything you'd find at bigger gas station- chips, candy, instant ramen and drinks, but they also have some specialty imported snacks and alcoholic beverages that you wouldn't be able to find anywhere else. They also have an outdoor filtered water station (50 cents) which is a plus! During snowbird season this place is a godsend. Especially when you're in a rush and want to avoid crowds and people. I got my meat, onion, cilantro, tortillas, salsas, and crema for what I thought was a reasonable price. Went home and grilled it all up and had some pretty fantastic tacos. The produce in the case was fresh and I'm guessing local. The tortillas are from Sonora and are the best store bought tortillas I've ever had! The meat was fresh cut and you can get it marinaded or not. They have several cuts from $8 to $13 a pound depending on the cut and if you want it marinaded or not. It seems they make their own salsas and I've tried a few of them. Red mild, the red "Hot" which has a kick but not over the top, and the verde as well. Depending on what I'm eating any would be a welcome addition to my food. I've driven back to the market from Fortuna just for the tortillas and the salsas. I got the flap last time I was in and it was tender and fresh and even the next day, the leftovers were great!! I love this place because the staff is friendly, the food is great and I get to shop local. It'll be a regular stop for me!!!

Always a pleasant surprise whenever you see a Maverik coming to town…read more Whenever we visit Yuma, AZ we frequent the Love's just south of the fairgrounds. Well, now we will be splitting our time with the presence of a new Maverik directly across from Love's. The employees were so nice and friendly and the store was stocked full of great stuff, like you'd expect from Maverik. We travel a lot and know that Maverik has competitive gas prices, a great rewards program, and clean restrooms for travelers. My wife and I had been hosting a Lego Experience at the Yuma County Fair and heard that we were featured on the front page of the Yuma Sun. We were able to get some copies from the newsstand at Maverik and talk to the clerks about our story. They were wonderful and congratulated us about it. Definitely planning on going to Maverik the next time we are in Yuma.
