I've been going to this Circle k for years and never thought to write a review until My experience had been totally enriched by this sweet & witty, very hardworking(maybe a bit too much) manager, I think she said her name was Cindy R, she's so kind and really made Me feel better about My awful day. I tried to tip her but she wouldn't accept it, quite humbly because I know she deserves it. She works long and hard hours like Me, it's nice to be able to relate and she gives Me inspiration every time I see her powering through her day. I took the tip that I wanted her to have and instead bought more things from the store, hoping that would benefit her in some way but I'm not sure it will. Thus, I felt the need to write this review. She's a great person to have in your store, I'm honestly surprised she isn't working corporate somewhere. If I needed a job I'd love to have her as a manager. Thank you Cindy! And thank you Circle K for having great taste in selecting her as your store manager! What a horrible experience. Got a tank full of watery "premium" gas in my classic car. Car died two miles from fill up and had to get towed, fuel drained. Escalated issue to corporate per their process. after 5 phone calls and multiple emails I got a response a month later asking for details. Denied my claim with no explanation. MY CAR CLUB OF 60 MEMBERS AND I WILL NOT BE BUYING GAS AT ANY CIRCLE K. Shame on you for not being accountable. I attempted to get gas here. However, threw up there are only four pumps and it's on a busier corner such a disaster because there's no space to get around people. A customer was part 5 feet away from the gas pump and refused to move his car so I could get through and then purposely slowly got into his car just to annoy me. This place always has a line with only one person occasionally at the cash register. Assuming you don't get stuck behind someone picking 100 lotto numbers over the course of half an hour, prepare to wait at least 10 minutes to buy something from a surly hourly employee. read more

I know. It's just a gas station. But as anyone living in the north Ypsi/Superior Township area knows, this is the place to be at 7am on your way to the grind - or if you're me, at 1 in the morning buying Diet Coke and Reese's. Cheap gas (second only to Boggs, which is usually the cheapest in the Ypsi-Arbor area), cheap coffee, and a friendly smile in the morning is always nice. There are only four gas pumps, so sometimes you just have to wait. They also carry some grocery basics - which is really useful to know when you're halfway through a chocolate cake recipe only to find you're out of eggs. read more

I typically go to this circle k every morning before work. The staff is nice but they dont keep the inventory stocked up on a regular basis. I shouldn't have to ask for anything if they have the product on hand. read more

I went into the circle K the other day to buy my wife a pack of cigarettes. While I was there I decided to get her a coke and a frozen drink for myself. Up to this point I was having a pretty decent day and I was in a good mood. But then I met the guy at the counter, I don't remember the last time I've been this mad and felt so disrespected by someone in the service industry. I walked up to the counter, set my items down. ME: "Hello, these and a pack of Camel crush please." HIM: "ID!" ME: "Ok" hand him my id. Then I get ready to swipe my card to pay. I say "credit please" HIM: "I can't do that from my side, Push the button" ME: "I'm sorry, I'm used to the way they do it at the Meijer gas station. They always ask." HIM:" We don't do it that way! You have to push the button!" ME: "OK!" he hands me my reseat. I realize he has given me the wrong cigarettes. HIM: "Have a good day" ME: "I'm sorry I ask for Camel crush, these are camel blues." HIM: "I can't return them. I already rang them up" ME: "What?" HIM: (Long pause). "We can make up the difference but it will have to be in cash" ME: I look at the sign behind him, the cigarettes are he gave me and charged me for are about 20 cents more expensive than the ones I want. "Ok, that works." HIM: Slams a calculator on the counter and says "F**K!" ME: I look at him in disbelief. "You know what I really don't care about the 20 cents, I'll just go, it doesn't matter." HIM: "YES! IT MATTERS! That will be 75cents!" ME: "what? The ones I want are cheaper" HIM: "NO! IT'S 75 CENTS!" ME: "I'M LOOKING AT THE SIGN RIGHT BEHIND YOU!"
