The clerk behind the counter told her colleague to "watch them", as if they were going to steal something. I found this to be absolutely racist as other individuals of varying ethnicities entered and left the store and were not followed around or watched like these gentlemen were. I'm following up with corporate. Stay away from this store. EDIT: The manager of this location did respond by saying that what happened was "part of their loss prevention procedures." Sometimes it pays to just say nothing. The response made it worse. In fact, here is their official response below: "Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for contacting us regarding the unpleasant experience you had at your local 7-Eleven store. I have reviewed your comments and I contacted store manager of that location. I'm told, few Toronto stores are having an issue with regular shoplifting activity. To prevent this , we have asset protection procedures (as per organization) in place and that was just a part of that and nothing to do with particular race or ethnicity.
