Met all my expectations. Self-serve gas as usual. Gas seems to be working great, using it to drive right now!

Earlier in the day we purchased a full tank of gas. The attendant was very helpful and courteous…read more At 9:30pm tonight we stopped in to grab a few provisions. Unfortunately, I waited in the car. As she put the items on the counter she asked tall man working there if she could start a pile. He said sure, honey, you can do whatever you want. She said "Don't call me honey. I'm not that girl" She kept shopping while 2 male customers kept talking to him, the man behind the counter. They made comments between each other while their girlfriends or wives were standing right there at the checkout counter. Then this bearded employee made my wife move the pile of snacks to another counter register just to keep her there a little bit longer... The male customers kept chiming in and saying derogatory things in earshot of my wife. She asked for a couple Lotto tickets, then he said "Baby girl, you can have whatever you want" This set my wife off. She paid for the products and came out to the car. I hear her story as we drive away. I wanted to turn around, but she begged me not to. My wife can take care of herself in every situation, but this was a sexist attack and hurtful. Who's next? I can't imagine if it were a warm summer day and a woman walks in with shorts and a tank top. We will drive to Bend for gas, and slight provisions. The vulgarity was palpable and she felt threatened. And I'm from Bend, visiting friends in Sunriver. Fix it.

Getting gas here is a chore now…read more OK, so now you can pump your own gas in Oregon. I don't have a problem with that. But I DO have a problem with pumps that can take cards, but don't, with no attendants, forcing you to walk quite a ways across a lot into another building out of view of your car and wait in line. When you go to insert your card you're met with a little screen that says "Machine not currently taking cards. Please pay inside" or something like that. Even though the machine has a card reader, and I've used it before in the past under previous ownership. So OK, cool no problem. My legs aren't broken. I'll just walk inside. Now I have to wait in line at least 10 minutes behind people humming and hawing at what they want out of the deli case. Or to stare blankly at the menu as if they've never seen or heard of chicken on a stick before. I do finally get up there. I hand the kid my card. "How's it going? I'd like some gas. Fill on pump three please" He asks me how much? I say "a fill, I want to fill it up please" Then he asked me, well do you know like what dollar amount that's gonna be?. Really man? No, that's kind of what you're supposed to tell me after the car has been filled up. So they don't have the technology to put an authorization on my card, and then charge me what the total is when I'm done pumping the gas? Am I the only person that ever comes in and asks them to fill it up? Really? I say "Just give me $10" Only $10? "Yes please, thanks." (Just give me enough to get up the road to someplace that knows how gas stations are supposed to work.)
