I used to have a Hasty Market a block away from where I used to live in the Beaches. It went away at least a decade or so ago. I decided to relive my teens by dropping by this store and checking it out. I said hi to the man at the counter. He was the only person working on Saturday afternoon and seemed pleasant. My original thought was to find a breakfast sandwich to consume the following day, but I didn't see anything. The sandwich section was slim pickings. I did enjoy looking at the beverages. It carries Slush Puppies, which made me smile. Blueberry, cherry, and cream soda were the flavour options. I felt like a drink. I spotted a can of Diet Orange Crush in the fridge. Perfect! This store has an extensive ramen section. It was as if someone knew that I was dropping by. Naturally, it's cheaper to get ramen at a major grocery store. However, if you are a local who just can't get to one, heading over here is not a bad idea. I paid for my drink with cash. It came up to $1.25. That's not bad. There is parking. It is limited given how small this plaza is. I'm glad that I visited. I'd like to try the cream soda Slush Puppie the next time I'm here. (78)

The cashier called…read morethe owner to confirm the price and he said 60+7$ tax, even though the product was listed at $15 on the manufacturer's website. Four hours later, I returned to the store to request a refund. However, the owner accused me of using the cables before returning them. Instead of addressing my concerns, he kept changing the subject and made an inappropriate comparison, saying something along the lines of, "If someone tries to return an empty can, that idiot wouldn't know the difference between food and jumper cables."

Unfortunately in the 20 years I've driven by there, they have never discounted their gas prices. I think I've only ever taken gas there once. Any other time, I've just cleaned my windowshield. They do have soapy water for their squeegee which is nice. They are open 24 hours a day. The station is brightly lit. I had won a free bottle of water so I came here to claim it. This convenience store is attached to…read morean Esso gas station. It is mid-sized and also managed to fit in a Tim Hortons inside! They have all the items carried by Circle K including lotteries. I didn't find an ATM. The store is not big enough to have their Froster and  Polar Pop; they have a smaller version with fewer flavour choices. The staff is courteous. If you pay for 25L+ gas inside the store, instead of at the pump, you get a free bottle of water. There is no free WiFi. The store is wheelchair accessible.
